Inspiring and helpful. These items turned out so well! I would have never thought of doing “the dirt trick” on wood, but I love the results!
Excellent job! Love it!! I love the stool!! I have used the dirt layered with white chalk paint on a thrift store vase, turned out awesome! God given dirt is the ticket!

I have never seen any project with wood painted with dirt! It turned out perfect. Nest time, try waiting til the object gets dry to rub it with dirt...maybe try dry dirt! Yours is still pretty.

I quite like both projects!!! If I may offer one tip, when you’re putting paper-mache on the outside of a bowl, draw a line around the bowl on parchment paper or whatever type of paper or plastic you’re using, make the line about 1” around the perimeter of the bowl and use that as your guide for the thickness of your sides. Using the paper it may not be necessary to make it an inch, but, follow that same thickness all over the bowl. Using a level, put it on the bottom of your dish and use it to level the bottom of the bowl before adding your ring. All in all, I think you did a pretty good job and like the colours when you were finished. Thanks for sharing.

I love how the dirt stain turned out for the wood!!! It’s the exact color I love but when I look for Inspo pictures can rarely find! For the bowl I wonder how it would have turned out if you used tea instead of plain water? And if you wanted a smoother finish you could sand it!
