Hello dearest Evelyn. Please never worry about how often you post for us. Go at your own speed and do what is best for you. Motherhood is definitely a juggling act. Sometimes the ball drops and that's okay because we pick it up and continue. Life isn't perfect, so show yourself some grace when you don't get something done. It will get done in its own time when you are able. You have such an amazing talent for so many things and redoing/diy-ing vases is just one of your specialties. I loved all the techniques you showed today and I am saving this video for reference. It is valuable!! Thank you. Take care!! 😊🤗😚
Wow I couldnt have said it better. Being a mom is the best yet hardest job. I love being a mommy so its important to also take care of myself and fill my own cup. I appreciate your sweet words, they made my heart very happy. 🥹 You know how much I appreciate you! Always here supporting me and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you so so much ❤️
The vases are just gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your technique and colors, so we can try to recreate them for ourselves. I love your channel, you always have such inspiring ideas!! I’m 80 years old and thought I’d tried everything!! Thanks to you, I’m going to try these! The girls in my family would all love to get one for Christmas!! Again, thanks for sharing, and, please take care of your family and yourself first! ❤❤
Evelyn, they are all amazing!!! You did a beautiful job. I hope that you enjoyed your crafting time. Having a child is the best and the hardest thing you can do. When you have a second, both of those things double. Be kind to yourself. One challenge at a time
Wow couldnt have said it better, its the best yet hardest job ever! Love being a mommy! Its nice to have some me time to relax ❤️ I appreciate you being here!!
Everything is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your postpartum journey and continue to focus on self-care and your personal grounding. Your ability to flourish is there in all you do. ❤️❣️
Me looking around at all my boring vases 😂. Wow!! You always blow me away 😲🙌🏻. They all look sooo good!! I work in a garden center and see that bag of lime everyday lol I will bring it home in hopes I can create one as gorgeous as these. Xoxo
They all look nice I spent last winter painting vases. I thought it was fun to see the difference after painting them. I also did some for gifts . It helped pass the Winter blues away. Thanks for sharing your ideas
Hi sweetheart ❤ sorry your still going through all this postpartum. Yikes! Best therapy for me is painting, gardening, and decorating ofcourse 😉 Love any DIYs you post when do. All nicely done but your 3rd vase is my favorite. Love the weathered veining showing through. Keeping very artisan, authentic! Love to you and your beautiful girls 🤗🤗🤗
Hi my love!! Thank you so much! It’s always nice to have an outlet to let out some stress. Creating content and talking to you guys is mine ❤️ I appreciate you so much Gina! 🫶🏼
Hon I’ve watched a ton of people doing these techniques. But yours is beautiful. Now I will do mine again. Thank you so much very sharing these techniques.
Lovely results as always. Can't choose just one. I've had such fun making over pieces I already owned. Haven't tried lime yet but definitely will. Thankyou for sharing.
I just watched this DIY video today. All of them turned out so beautiful! You are blessed with many talents. I am so thankful that you are kind enough to share your talent with us! Thank you so much for sharing! 🍁🌿🍂
Fabulous work on every one of those vases. You've inspired me to finish off the vase makeover I've had sitting around for a month now!! I have the base coat done, I even bought the paint but it really helps me to see your method and how well it works. It's amazing the transformation that little bit of work and cost, can produce such a high end look. Far better than paying Atelier or Pottery Barn prices for something we can do ourselves. Like you say, the practice of painting these is therapy in itself. Look after yourself and make yourself a priority sometimes - I know that must be hard with 2 little kids. You're doing a great job and I loved this video. thank you xx
Wowww thank you so much! You have no idea how much your sweet comment means to me. I am slowly trying to make myself a priority, although the mom guilt doesn't let me sometimes haha. Glad I was able to inspire you to do a vase makeover! It was super easy and affordable, it takes lots of blending but the results are worth it! 🥰
Hey Evelyn, the vases are all stunning, can’t pick a favorite. Truly love your style, home goals…thx for sharing…and you take care of yourself we can wait. 😊
Omg Evelyn, I love ALL of these!!! I've had a stoneware vase for a couple of years now with more like a peachy-vanilla solid color that has details on it that you don't notice, but I've been too afraid to ruin it after my first fiasco with baking soda. You are brilliant! The wet paper towels makes the difference. Also using an unsealed terracotta-like vase that absorbs the paint. After watching this I immediately paused the video and grabbed that vase. I didn't use anything but diluted brown "matte" acrylic paint I had on hand. I really didn't even have to splotch it on. I did, but discovered I could use a paintbrush for a once-over to get into the details, then used wet paper towels to wipe or splotch. It was that easy! I could add or remove in different areas while working with it and add other colors, if desired. The only downside was I got carried away and made it darker all over. Thank you! 😘 Chef's kiss!
Ahhh thank you!!! Yayy im so happy I provided some inspiration!! Glad you got your creative juices flowing and painted the vase. I wish I could see how it turned out 😍 Im sure its stunning!
Me gustó muchas veces 🤎 Gracias 🙏🏽🤍 Bendiciones!!
Jajaja que bueno que si encontraste el cuadro! Me encanta!! Puedes usar el vase asi por un tiempo y ya cuando te aburras de el lo puedes pintar ❤️ Gracias!!!
You could sell stuff too Evelyn!! The tree you made, the BENCH,everything you make is gorgeous!! I thought about why you hadn’t posted-I realized you are busy with your girls!! You’ve got to take care of you!! Your vases are beautiful!! Love em-thanks for sharing!!💕🌻😊
Great video and so talented! It shows in the excellent work you did on making them all look so authentic. Also you’re a natural at teaching the different techniques you used. Take care.❤
😍OMGOSH you’re so talented! I’m having a hard time picking one favorite. I honestly love them all! ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing these ideas. I will definitely be trying this myself. 😉 Also, I truly appreciate you sharing the therapy info again. I’ve been needing this resource for some time now and I think it’s time for me to make the leap 🥹 Can’t wait for your next video. Blessings to you and yours 🤗
Oh my goodness!! This comment made my heart so happy. So so happy I provided the therapy information again, it’s important to take care of yourself. Mental health is so important and Im glad you are taking that leap. Feel free to message me on IG if you ever need someone to talk to as well ❤️❤️❤️
You did awesome. They look great. I've done that technique before with wet paper towel and it really does great. Never used the lime stuff. Makes me want to go craft instead of going to work.
Yes I saw a huge difference when using a wet paper towel, it blends everything so well! The garden lime was the easiest diy! Probably my favorite vase 🥰 Thank you!!
Evelyn, all your tutorials are excellent…really get my “creative juices” going! I have a 4 handled squatted vessel like the last one you added your personal stamp to…cant wait to tackle it! LOVE all your projects…i know how children take up our time, but it makes the crafting times more special…and your results are terrific!
I LOVE ALL of them!! You did a beautiful job! I'm going to try my hand at this technique! I've made one before using black as a base with brown & tan as added colors & it turned out beautifully. 😃 Thank you for sharing! ❤️😍👍
Today I found the larger size of Vase #2 (Olive Jar) at Home Goods in white, on clearance for $22. Thank you for your tutorial! The colors you selected are exactly what I envisioned. I can’t wait to try out your techniques!
Always love your channel & DIY’s Evelyn - and of course these were no exception. All beautiful! The blended colours just give off a very naturally weathered aged look (some more than others) and appear very high end. I’m now wanting to do some more myself - I will blame you, lol. You have such a lovely calm way about you - and I bet your little girls are just like you. Take care until next time 😊🇬🇧
Inspiring, indeed! I have some terracotta vases One in green from Pottery Barn Bought many years ago and that’s the one, I’m going to paint in 2 hours! I can’t wait to see it in a beige with that blend or touch of the brown mix Thank you so much ❤😊
Been waiting for this for so long! Thank you! I love the lime wash idea. I want to do this to my kitchen hood, but since the lime rubs off I guess that is not a good idea for surface that will need cleaning? The most dramatic difference is the ribbed jars. LOVE how those turned out! Great job 👏🏼Your DIY videos are my favorite ⭐
Just the inspiration I needed, I actually purchased a new vase and I want to try and re-create one of these looks you shared! Thank you for creating this video! I really do love and appreciate your content! 🤎
Very inspiring ❤ Motherhood is for life and constantly changing, so I’m glad you’re finding an outlet for you to keep your sense of self (and sanity 😜)
