It is foolish to look for flaws and imperfections on a $50 watch. If you want perfection, then go ahead and spend $20,000 for a Rolex Submariner. If you want a great watch at a great price then buy a Casio Duro, This watch is a great watch to buy in 2022, 2023, 2024, or any year it is still available. It is more than a "viable option"... it is a must have watch for anyone on a budget who wants a really nice dive watch.
I ordered this watch some time ago and when it arrived, I thought it was broken. I couldn't pull out the crown to set the time. I even tried prying it out with a jeweler's screwdriver. Then, I read the instructions (always a last resort) to find it had a screw down crown... who would have thought, on a $50 dollar watch? BTW... I have that exact leather strap in 22mm and I'm going to give it a spin on my Duro. It looks nice in this video.
yes please a 38 - 40mm version, what are you waiting for Casio? love the bezel action on mine, there's a bit of back-play but its so satisfyingly snicky
Great job on the review! I have this watch but with the green bezel. I find the quality of the case finishing to be remarkable for the 48 bucks + tax. The seconds hand hits the markers every time, I have a $350 Citizen Navihawk and a $200 Wenger Swiss chronograph(ETA movement)....both have shamefully sloppy seconds hands that constantly miss the mark. I have been eyeballing the not so cheap Tissot PRX quartz and it too garners complaints from owners about the seconds hand missing the mark....so how does Casio get it right on a $50 watch? I think the only real negative to this thing, unrelated to cost, is the 44mm case size. I have big wrists so I can get away with it and even then wished it was like 41mm. They did an awesome job with the lugs and carved a bit of the case away, between them, so straps tuck up nice and tight against the watch...meaning this thing is a strap monster and works with anything. I have a shark mesh bracelet on mine and it looks awesome.
Love my Duro, it's a daily and over 2yrs old... FYI 7" wrist and the size really isn't a issue at all. I'm very hard on watches, have NO scratches on the crystal, and it's in very good shape. The lume is not great, have no issues with the crown, and the second hand hitting the markers is hit or miss(no pun intended). It appears to get better with time, btw. Mine was pretty good right out of the boy. I've spent more on straps then on the watch and Love it... Spends most of its time on a StrapCode 22mm Super-J Louis JUB Watch Band Straight End, 316L Stainless Steel Solid V-Clasp Button Double Lock. In thes configuration I get a lot of "Is that a ________, Oh"
I have a 107 with a Pepsi dial and a 106 with a blue face and dial. I have a lot of other watches but, these two probably get as much wrist time as the others combined.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. I’m working on another review just been tied up with work the edit is done just need my voice over completed.
Just purchased the Pepsi bezel version, green bezel and black bezel for $11 each at Walmart tonight. They have been marked to clearance but kept in the watch case and not the clearance isle
@@watchlife_reviews It's still going on until all stock has sold at those stores so calling up local Walmarts to find out if yours is at that price is worth it and may lead to multiple watches

It is viable now, and in 20 years from now.
This watch is in just about every watch colletor inventory 🔥 And hands down a great watch to start your journey
I agree and thank you for watching

I am not big boned at all but with a NATO strap it wears well. Personally, the background music is too loud in some of your videos.
I wear natos on mine also.
Great review sir and I 💯 agree with you. This is easily the best dive watch on the market in its price point.
Thank you for watching! I promise more content and it will only get better.
@Watch Life Reviews I forgot to mention that it's improved with every video. This last one though is how you do a good review.
@@notyourgrandadswatch7705 thank you means a lot
Love the Duro, its just a great inexpensive dive watch.
Thank you for watching

I have the duro in the Pepsi color. Such a good everyday Watch comfortable and looks sharp. Probably getting the classic back color soon.
I have one...love it. What brand strap is rhat?
Nice review
just bought one (107) "batman", will pair it with a tropic style strap
I got the same black Duro a couple of days ago !
It is miyota 2115 caliber
This watch is incomparable in terms of spec and style. Wears like a 40mm. Casio, just keep it as it is!
Thank you for watching. I do love this watch!
That strap looks great? Which one is it?

Great video! Good value watch. All three hands are too short.
Thank you for watching! Working on another review today
Great video my man!
Thank you for watching!
Hello from Brazil, I have a Casio MDV-107, a great watch. Do you have a link to the video bracelet?
Mine hits slightly before the markers on the 6-12 :( especially on the 45 indent, while the 15 indent is perfect... It is what it is
The seconds hand doesn’t line up correctly on all the Duros. I have two that don’t track right.
The Duro is always viable.
what strap is that ?
I'm mad about this watch ! but I never found the white dial model (yes Casio Duro with a white dial was released)
I’ll look in to that
Sounds interesting
What is the wrist size ?
Song of this intro?
Casio Duro Marlin 🤿💦👍🏽

@@watchlife_reviews You did well bro..👏
The Duro is viable for like, the sub-$500 dive watch category 🤣
yes, yes it is even in 2023.. just bought 2 more
