I'm a mom to 6 kids. I am passionate about traveling the world, budgeting, homeschooling, balanced meal planning, backyard farming and of course being in the NOW. This is how I MOM NOW! How do you Mom now?

Found this fascinating as I was home schooled from k-6 and 10-12. K-6 was “no planned curriculum” learning through interests. 10-12 was full of dual enrollment courses at various colleges and universities along with a few home school co-op classes. The dual enrollment courses really helped me financially for college. The co-op classes helped me get some electives and CP classes done. Most importantly, it gave me a better/healthier social life than what I had in public school.

The Now Mom I have one in 9th, 7th , 4th and kindergarten. It’s a lot of work but also a lot of fun. I’m going to start doing more homeschooling videos!! Hope you have an aMAYSing day!!!

Thank you for the idea with a planner for each child. So simple, but such a gamechanger! Just ordered some planners. Cause I HAVE to try this with my three kids. The idea of them just starting into theyr schoolday without me, struck me. I'm all in for independence. All the best from Austria! :)

You guys put a smile on my face everyday..I knew you since you first started and I still remember that prank when someone broke into your house! I’ve only subscribed now because ive just got my TH-cam account! You make me happy because I just flew from lebanon to London because I spend more time in London but all my family are in Lebanon I only have my mom dad and sister in Lebanon! It was so sad I left my favorite aunt and cousins🥺! We always go to Lebanon in the summer/1time a year! But this year we’re planning on going to Lebanon in the winter and summer let’s hope we go on winter too🥺!cross your fingers please😞!

My (homeschooling) 5 and 6-year old watched this video with me and we were all very inspired! I'd definitely like to try something like this...especially since I usually am spending time with the babies in the morning and it would be great if they could start on their own. My question is: how do they know what to write on their planner for the day? And how did you train them to stay on track without constant badgering?

We set goals at the beginning of the school year and then we set monthly and weekly goals of what we need to get done to accomplish those goals. Some kids still get the constant nagging to refocus..but I feel like asking to see the planner and see what they got done & then moving on is a good skill to learn. good luck, please share more of what you're doing

Harish Kumar so Im a home school graduate and my parents got their work books from a variation of places- Costco, Barnes and Noble, educator stores, other home school parents who’s children finished the books, yard sales, home school expos... and my friends’ parents would get them from Christian book sellers or online home school curriculum sites.

May i ask how do you incorporate out of home social interactions. As in meet-ups with other stay at home moms, groups etc. My husband and I are extremely for homeschooling but honestly I’m absolutely terrified of screwing it all up. I don’t want to hinder my children or put them in a position where they are worse off. I would love to homeschool as we are “anti system” kind of family 😏
I was feeling the same way but as I started looking at videos of other families and how they homeschool I have been more and more encouraged to do so..fear is leaving by the day. As great Parents, if our minds and hearts have been telling us to homeschool then it is most definitely what we need to do. This system is not right it is turning children against their own selves making them feel less than what they are because of the curriculums that have been set in place ...so to alleviate the stress of your child and yourself do what you know in your heart is best you know?! I have been asking God for wisdom and patience to do this Duty for the best entrance of my children I have five but my oldest will be graduating from high school this year I have a 10th grader who has been really struggling this year and even my 6th grader who is usually a 3.5 or better student got a 1 Point grade average this first semester so it broke my heart to see and now my mind is made up I have been convinced that the system is not for my children anymore. So Homeschooling it is❤

So I would say as a home school graduate, I was WAY better off being home schooled. I was home schooled k-6. Public schooled 6-9. And made the choice to go back to home schooling 10-12. That being said, you shouldn’t be terrified about the social aspect or even the teaching aspect. It takes a village to raise a kid and it takes a village to educate a kid. I attended play groups from K-6 with other home school families. In 10-12, I attended classes at colleges to suffice my high school requirements, my college elective requirements, and learned how to interact with people at least 2-4 years older than me. I also attended home school co-ops for the basic level courses that I didn’t want to take at a college, high school electives and courses my parents were not experts in. At the co-op, I made really close friendships. I had a MUCH healthier social life being home schooled than being public schooled. Just reach out on social media groups in your area and ask if anyone knows any groups/resources to help socialize and educate your children.

What happens when they finish school? Will they be like the other kids that go to public school, as in gaining confidence and communication skills in real life. (Anti -social ??)
Also a general comment, I keep seeing people saying that Klai is a high schooler not a home schooler. As a home school graduate, I would say it’s important to know the correct terms... For instance, I was home schooled but I was in high school making me a high schooler. Klai’s schooling might be different, but she still would have been a high schooler whether or not she went to public, private or was home schooled. People assume you can’t home school a high schooler because then you can’t go to college- I’m about to graduate college in 3 years. It’s totally possible.
