Country Guitar Lesson - Double Stop Like A Pro With ONE LICK

Double Stops, a technique that adds that “badass” element to a solo! By definition a double stop can be any two-note chord that’s used in a melodic way, but in country music it’s more than just that, it’s how you combine these chords in a creative way with the muted lower notes that really make it pop and come to life! Johnny Hiland, Brent Mason and Ray Flacke are just a few names that have mastered this technique, making it part of their signature sound! You can use this concept over different scales and chords, you’ll see a lot of mixolydian and pentatonics in country music… AND, of course, lots chromatic passing tones!
