Thank you for the video. I have owned Hondas for many years and never had a dead battery except one time at home when I left the key on. I just recharged it that one time. Brand new from 2011 to 2020 when I traded it for my Harley and no dead battery. But my Sportster is now dead so I am charging it thanks to your video.
Like 'em all... Love It. Laughed when you were talking while the "hog" was running. You know you can barely hear you when there is no noise let alone a nice "hog" running. LOL. Great job.
@@NotamechanicBetty I have two vehicles that sit all winter. Schumacher SC1278, 750mAh and the other is Dellran battery tender Jr. Also at 750mAh. They monitor the voltage and add some energy to the battery every now and then. Their great.
Starting a bike doesn’t charge the battery, actually will kill it. Motorcycles don’t have alternators, so need to actually ride it for about 15-20 minutes to charge. Use a battery tender.
Nice bike Betty, love the sound of the Vance and Hines big radios pipes. You need some mini apes not a big fan of the cafe racer bars. But I know it's what you like that matters lol. Ride safe.
I do like the look of the cafe racer style bikes that is probably what drew me to this bike but, I do agree Something higher where I can sit more comfortably will be a future project. Thanks for the comment ❤️
Good video, thanks. Well explained and easy to follow the steps. My AGM battery on my Sportster has run low and the bike won’t crank up. I need to jump start it now. Waiting for the HD HOG booster pack to arrive so I can do it. It’s the first time I needed to do it as I only recently received the bike, and I wasn’t sure how to do it. I’ll probably swap it to a lithium battery so I don’t have to deal with this issue so often.
You don't need to take off the side panel to access the negative terminal. Connect the positive to the positive terminal under the seat, and just connect the negative side of the jumper cables to any part of your frame to ground it. That's all....Enjoy!
Hi, love your bike it's beautiful, do you have any idea about your ignition relocation kit. I do love it and I'm building my sportster in the Caribbean so really interested in finding that kit
Really nice bike you got there, if it were mine I'd probably have it rolled up in the middle of my living room😛 I never realized how long winter was until I bought me one. Not nearly as nice as yours though.
hello miss....sunday morning 10am.... simple...no Hollywood bullshit and comedy skit etc etc....straight to the point ...volume could be turned up at beginning of video but all in all job well done....the viewer was educated in HOW TO DO IT etc etc.....and that is the reason behind this video etc.....good stuff !!!!! canada
I bought it used from a dealership so unfortunately I have no information on what was done to it. I saw it and said “oh yeah this is the one I want “ ( cause it is super cool) thanks 😊
She should check battery connections Loctite blue on those connection screws 💯 % vibrating loose out all the time specially bike like that it battery last forever Alway she probably already took it Harley
Those short shots are loud! :) love it. Thinking about getting a NOCO jumper soon this definitely helped out.

Thank you so much for making this video! Really helped me out considering my 2021 is my first Harley Iron 883!
That bike is badass! The sun is shining and there is no snow on the ground, definitely have to go for a ride.
Thanks Betty your video really helped me out today! My second year with my bike and the first time jumping the bike thank you!!!
This has helped me out today with the Hogg my wife gave me! Thanks!
I’m a fellow biker and your tutorial was right on and I look forward to seeing more

You need a battery tender for that. They charge the battery a little bit all winter and prolong the life of the battery.
Thank you for suggesting that. I'll look into that.

Love your drag bars.
I have a 1999 883
Thank you
Nice bike Betty,Stay safe
Excellent thanks. What handle bars are they ? Cool . 😗
Can we get the link to ignition set up please?

Even if the frame is painted?
@@ednaheiman1736should be an exposed metallic part
My bike hasn't started in like 1 month. Can I use this technique ? Will it work ?
Thanks Betty 👍
What's nice about a manual transmission is that you can push start it
Yes, I thought about that 😊 have you done it before on a Harley-Davidson? I’m not sure how
Hi, love your bike it's beautiful, do you have any idea about your ignition relocation kit. I do love it and I'm building my sportster in the Caribbean so really interested in finding that kit
I bought the bike like this, so I don’t have any information on that switch, good luck on your build.
Great video! I needed that!
Thank you so much for this video! You saved the day for me ✌🏽

I brought it inside once when a hurricane came. Thankfully it’s not that cold here. I agree it would be tough staring at it all winter
How did you get those handle bars? Did you just flip original ones?!
Aint nothing you wont tackle betty you are awsome love to all jim
I really like the bobbed rear fender! Did you shorten/ cut it from the inside and slide it forward to keep the original shape of the fender?
I bought it used and all that had already been done to it. (That’s why I picked this one it looked better than the rest)
Cool, what seat is that???
Really a nice bike! Be kool, have a great ride. Mahalo (thank you) for the video, Aloha hau'loi

There should be a way to turn off all the lights so one may be able to use all the juice left just for the starter…
Nice bike
That's a nice bike
Yes it is 😁 thank you
Hi @Betty, do you have a video listing all the mods you've made on your bike? It looks great!
I bought it used from a dealership so unfortunately I have no information on what was done to it. I saw it and said “oh yeah this is the one I want “ ( cause it is super cool) thanks 😊
Hi Betty, can you please tell me where can I find the front turning lights, I love them. thank you.
Thank you. The local Harley-Davidson dealer should carry them
Thank you
She still went ru ru ru vroommmm😊 If you talked to her nicely she may have started without a jump.
What rear fender is that? Custom stock one or did u change the fender ?
I bought the bike used, this is how it came
Don’t start your bike unless you are going to ride it , starting in off season draws moisture into your motor , this is a big no no
Thank you! So helpful
Man you are awesome 👌 I need a woman like you ❤
She should check battery connections
Loctite blue on those connection screws
💯 % vibrating loose out all the time specially bike like that it battery last forever
Alway she probably already took it Harley
Is this a stock handlebar upside down?
I bought it this way
Unnecessary complicated
Left the key on the bike on the street. With the dam key!!!! On on!!! Thank God it was still there when I got back to it at night!!! Dead battery. :|
Wow lucky The dead battery may have saved it
Always positive first
Ain't it positive then negative????
No. Betty is correct. Then turn on the Battery Box.
The red terminal in uder the seat for me fml
