As usual this was really well done. What sets you apart, other than pure quality, is the effort you take to research and educate about the monsters, so please keep that up. It is like a crash course "Lore You Should Know" with Chris Perkins from Dragon Talk but more bit size. You walk the balance between no information and too much information very well as I just want that little snippet or bite size lore that might make me go research a little more on my own. Thanks again!
Hmm, kinda torn on this one. Once again, no ranged figures. You're right, most of these are generic enough to act as regular orcs, but I would have loved some orcs with ranged weapons. My hope with these warband sets was that they'd steer away from D&D specific types and just be a handful of various orcs, Kobolds, goblins, etc. with a mix of weapon types. Not "specific orc type X from this adventure".
I would love to see a redcap warband and a fey warband and the big one that would sell so fast a dwarf warband with a set for hill, grey, mountain, mark of warding, and the biggest missing dwarf mini “dwarf ghouls” for the Dragon of icepire peak.
Finally, finally- a proper Orc Chieftain. Been searching high and low for one that matches the D&D sorts. Great video! Really hope they do more themed sets. Crossing my fingers for hobgoblins, gnolls, and (imo) the much neglected lizardfolk.
I cannot stress it enough how much the Wizards of the coast need to make a couple sets of unpainted spawn of kyuss with various creature types and a set of unpainted orc nurtured one of yurtrus.
I am honestly pretty happy about this. You get every type of orc, which if you have the village raiders, that is a solid setup. The pricing makes more sense in this one, as there is a wider array of paints and more material used. there is also enough variation for me to justify buying this. I still wont get it full price, but I have a membership at a gaming store that should lower the cost to me by about 30%, so good deal if I get it from there.
I would imagine a troll warband would be one of the next to drop. I always loved the old D&D style trolls with their lanky emaciated looking bodies, ruled by a matriarchal shamaness
While this is cool I would much rather have a coherent force instead of a sample of the various versions. That and the price is disappointing. I loved the last set.
Exploding zombie-like plague victims ?? Sometimes they take too much inspiration from video games...The price is really high for this set of minis too A set of skeletons portraying different races would be super useful ! Maybe with a lich or necromancer as the center piece ? A sahuagin warband would be pretty nifty !
Hello Theo & Grady, I guessed correctly! I think I'm getting good at this. Skeleton warband sounds awesome 😎! If you haven't done Bandits yet, that would be my guess. Wish list: Kuo-Toa, Tribesman, Commoners, Acolytes & Cultists Warband. Thanks Theo & Grady you gentlemen have a wonderful day!
Nice review! Orc camp 🏕 set yes 👍🏻 Which plague effects the orc uses when it explodes? Can this plague be adapted to Pathfinder too? A Dwarves war clan is my request!
Although the price is a bit much, this set is pretty great! The best part is the variety! All kinds of orcs! And all of them can be used for normal orcs just fine, well still all looking unique, just wish the price wasn’t as crazy, 25 bucks more and you could get the ancient dragon!
I want a harpie war band, the only way to get a harpie easy right now is an unpainted one that comes with an aarakocra. So if I need a band of 10 harpies then I have to go by 10 mini packs $5 each and then need to paint each on of the identical harpies
Hmm... there is a harpy in the Pathfinder Battles City of Lost Omens and Rise of the Runelords sets, though they have a slightly different design. I believe Bones also has a harpy mini or two. Otherwise, yeah, you might have to go to Etsy or the 3D printing route. -Theo
This is also a pretty desirable pack. Not that we are lacking Orcs, but a lot of the Volo's Guide Orc types never got minis. Also, always nice to see more female Orcs (I am pretty sure the standard Orc - 01- is also female). Gotta say, the Orog looks far less blue in your review thankfully than on the Wizkids photos. But it's not a bad idea that they are doing some various skin color ranges - same as us humans I bet Orcs too have various (50?) Shades of Grey. ;) I do hope we get a Red Fang of Sharghaas riding a giant bat, too, someday. That'd be badass. Good eye on noticing the Claw of Luthic is not the same model reposed. I am curious now whether the Orog is also a new mold, or the same as the RotF Orog Ranger?
Oh wow,a book written by Grady Wang, sounds like something from Kill Bill,( which is my almost favorite movie, seeing a woman against all Japanese warrior of 88,) maybe I might check it out before it's disappear
Engagement! Pedantic correction: If that's the Forgotten Realms Bhaal, the correct pronunciation is BEH-hahl. Don't believe the lies of the Baldur's Gate games!
Cool set, even if I think it leans a bit too much into "iconic" versions of monstrous NPCs. Do pretty much all of the orcs look like beefy dudes--are there truly very few female orc minis--or is just my lack of imagination? It might be the latter. I really want a hobgoblin war band! If they're feeling sassy, they can split it into two smaller warbands who can either be mutual adversaries, or the combined remnants of fallen/conquered warbands. Otherwise, a githzerai and/or githyanki warband would be pretty cool! ...That said, I guess the githyanki & githzerai are *basically* space-hobgoblins...so, functionally, I stand by my initial vote :-P
I think I'll pass this one. Although is nice to have variety, since I don't have that many orcs yet, I think it's better for me to look for regular representations instead.
The Age of Sigmar Skeleton Warriors are the best minis going for a skeleton war band. You get 10 for $28 and they look better than any skeleton mini out and they are very customizable.
The Age of Sigmar minis are fantastic as long as you’re cool with assembling and painting them yourself. But I have a buddy here who does that as a hobby, and his collection is gorgeous. -Theo
@@garnermcculloch2778 Why?? Unless the figure ONLY comes painted, just buy unpainted and save yourself some money. I can't stand painting on its own, so I can't imagine repainting.
@@RickKoeppen if an unpainted version is available I get them, but Wizkids has released a lot of painted minis before an unpainted version is available. I would just leave them painted but frankly until just recently their prepainted minis were pretty brutal.
There’s not really an Icons set that contains multiple different orc sculpts with which to assemble a comparable warband. Most Icons sets have only 1 or 2 orcs, or a single orc with two variant weapons.
Oh come on. Like all WoTC minis... this is badly painted, cheap plastic, terrible model, garbage. Oh, and $$$. I mean, come on. This is some silliness through Hasbro. Has to be?

Actually I agree, a skeleton warband would be great. Skeleton dragonborn, elf, gnome, dwarf etc. We need more.
Yes! This is the war and I’ve been wanting. Skeletons! Honestly just because they’re so burning to have to paint.
Check out the Boneyard set! I think you'll like it

Very kind! I appreciate that a lot! We’ll try to keep the lore flowing! Thank you, Scott! -Theo
A bandit warband with different races, or a Yuan-Ti would be very handy
Uh a set of Gnolls
I really like when you show past related minis. Thanks for the vid.
I would love to see a lich warband like set. One high detail lich, and themed skeletal minions in toe
Hmm, kinda torn on this one. Once again, no ranged figures. You're right, most of these are generic enough to act as regular orcs, but I would have loved some orcs with ranged weapons.

Cool warband! And yes, bandits and or skeletons would be cool.
I’d love to see some lizard folk war bands

I may have to get one of those
ORC ENCAMPMENT!!! What a brilliant idea

I would like some more love for the Lizardfolk 😏

I'm from Brazil, I love your videos!
I think a devil or demon warband would be fantastic.
Town guard, zombies, cultists
An Orc encampment would the bees knees. I love the classic monsters like Goblins, Orcs and Kobolds. Loving the warbands
Errrrmaguuuurd! TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY!
I would actually like that better, too
Agreed! 8 minis for $45? Probably can grab the specific minis or (even a set of them) off the aftermarket for cheaper.
Loving these orcs! I hope they show up in Nolzurs soon so I can give them my own paint job :)
Oh man, any kind of undead warband would be awesome! Skeletons would be great, and I'm always here for more variety other than just "human skeleton."
Exploding zombie-like plague victims ?? Sometimes they take too much inspiration from video games...The price is really high for this set of minis too

Man O Man I want these...
I wish they would do hobgoblins . I find them to be The most lacking
Totally agree
Bobby two shades gets it.
Variety is key.
Nice review!
Orc camp 🏕 set yes 👍🏻
Which plague effects the orc uses when it explodes? Can this plague be adapted to Pathfinder too?
A Dwarves war clan is my request!
Long overdue. These should have come out years ago. Next warband should be undead (zombies, skeletons, ghouls, wights, and a vampire),
slaadi warband pls
⚔️ This Warband is awesome

4:30, that's basically a Nurgly Orc.

Cultists and zombies.

Always could use more orcs
Honestly I’ll just use all these as normal orcs except the infected one wand the female one
I thought their god was a one eyed orc in D&D, when did they change that?

Yeah, not an option for us prepainted fans. But Role4Initiative has some of my favorite prepainted skeletons in a variety of poses/weapons.
@@RickKoeppen it’s funny, I’ve repainted almost every prepainted mini I’ve ever gotten from Wizkids. lol

August? I don’t think they’re coming til 2022 😥
Yeah unfortunately COVID shipping problems have delayed a lot of products repeatedly :(
Why compare them with Pathfinder orcs instead of Icons orcs
There’s not really an Icons set that contains multiple different orc sculpts with which to assemble a comparable warband. Most Icons sets have only 1 or 2 orcs, or a single orc with two variant weapons.
Gostei muito, mas não é um item indispensável, só divertido, adicionando mais colorido as aventuras.
The paint jobs are too terrible to justify $45 MSRP. You can get 24 really nice Middle Earth orcs for $36 and paint them however you want.
I like Orcs but I think WOTC needs to improve their Orc sculpts because they are completely outdone by almost every other miniature manufacturer.
