Empowering women through Cyber and Media Literacy | Fatima Jinnah Women University Islamabad.

Invited by the Lincoln Corner team at Fatima Jinnah University, I had the privilege of speaking about the importance of cyber and media literacy. As a lawyer, I emphasized how crucial it is to be aware of the legal dimensions of the digital space, and as an influencer, I know firsthand how media shapes our perceptions and daily actions.
In the session, we explored how mastering these skills is vital for both personal and professional growth. I also shed light on Pakistan’s Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, which regulates and protects against online crimes, and discussed practical steps on how we can protect ourselves from minor harassment online. Building confidence in a digital world is key, and I encouraged the students to empower themselves by becoming more aware of their rights.
