I like this "both darkness and light are bad as they are in lust of power". Changes from the typical "light is good and darkness is bad" story most video games have usually.
And unlike, say, Kingdom Hearts - SSBU actually shows it (rather than merely preach it, yet constantly show the cliche anyway).

1:09:17 I love how Galeem and Dharkon are willing to continue their fight, but before that both of them kinda team up in order to eliminate you because you’ve been messing both of them since the beginning, like they’ve probably been fighting each other for almost millions of years but before they finally do their final encounter, they try to kill you because the hate that they have for you is bigger than the hate they have for each other
tbh I think I caught a few times where they both tried to kill each other as they were trying to kill you
@Joshua Fischer The problem is that the game sort of depicts Galeem and Dharkon as mortal enemies, even in death. Both of them will still try to kill each other even when a third opponent (usually the player's fighter) is there.

@@theillusionist1494 In what way? every boss in this game takes a very distinct loyalty to their past iterations, giga bowser is identical to the melee one plus a health-bar, gannon is weak in the tail like in OOT dracula is also pretty much 1-1 and rathalose has so many combat tricks just like in monster hunter.
the only issue I see is that gannon has a death ray, but I think it's pretty fitting for the king of evil.

I love the detail in Rathalos' fight, how it stays true to the monster hunter franchise by dropping items when damaged that resemble the pots (Scatternut to stun the monster, even bob-ombs to reference the bomb pots) and if you damage the head enough you can see the damage reflected on the part breaking. If you really think about it, none of the fighters would've even be here to fight Galeem and Dharkon beforehand had Sonic not broken Tabuu's wings back in Brawl. See, had Sonic been a second too late, King DeDeDe, Ness, Luigi and Kirby's efforts would've been all for nothing. Tabuu would've rendered all of them trophies (including Sonic) and tear the world apart, while Master Hand would be left unconscious and defeated. Then later heroes like Inkling, Mega Man, Ryu, Bayonetta, Cloud Strife, etc as well as characters in other games like Arms, Shovel Knight, Snipperclips, etc would've never came to being (since they didn't exist in the Smash universe at the time of Brawl), leaving no one to stop him then, and later down the line into Ultimate. The events of Master Core or World of Light would've never happened because: they and Tabuu are the child's feelings outside of the Smash universe, and since Tabuu would've won, he would be the only emotion the child has towards his toys, leaving the child to not manifest Master Core or Galeem and Dharkon in the Smash universe. There's over 200+ game worlds in Smash and Sonic saved all of them singlehandedly. He essentially saved most of the multiverse of gaming in Smash and counting. Every new game that gets introduced into Smash, that's another world he's saved. And all because he broke a pair of wings.

I can't say i was anything but mindblown by the fact that Marx made it in as a boss. Even though he was only in 1 game and it's remake I see him as one of the most iconic bosses in the kirby series and I found myself with an odd sense of being terrified and at the same time extreme happiness that he made it in.
Aside from his laugh and death scream not sounding quite right the fight was so true to the original what with the ice bombs, massive laser that covers most of the screen, rose thorns, crescent blades, shooting out of the ground, and black hole with a few new moves that made him even more terrifying than the original like his eyes coming out of his head and chasing you and it would have been a perfect replication of how much the original Marx was nightmare fuel as a child if they had gotten the laugh and death scream right.
The only thing I wish was that Marx soul was implemented at least as Marx having some of Marx soul's attacks if not as a "phase 2" of the boss, but I'm completely fine with just Marx making it in since technically Marx soul isn't canon so it would be weird for Marx soul to appear in another game.
I kind of hope in the future, they add a boss rush in Smash Ultimate. The only time bosses are fought ALL THE TIME are in Classic Mode and both Galeem and Dharkon are only fought in Story Mode. Also Story mode is the only time where ANY character can face ANY boss. (Ex. Marx is the boss for Kirby and Inkling)
Not only would this be a fun challenge but this way, anyone of your favorite fighters can fight your favorite boss characters.

If there was a boss rush in Smash Ultimate, I hope it's like The Arena and The True Arena from the Kirby series.

I believe that both do not count. Unlike Brawl's Boss Battles mode, the bosses in WoL's final battle are nerfed severely, and do not play their respective boss themes when fought. Master and Crazy Hand aren't fought there, either.
As for Sephiroth's Classic Mode route, it only plays specifically for him, and the boss order is predetermined, unlike in Brawl's Boss Battles mode. There are no rest areas with healing items, and you can't even fight Galeem and Dharkon in this route.
It pains me to remember than even though Sakurai is done with this game, there are still noticeable holes present in this game that will no longer be attended to, or just had duct tape slapped on them as exemplified through Sephiroth's Classic Mode route.

No, there's a pattern; first he's a Boss, then he's a Stage Hazard in the next game, and THEN he's a Playable character in the game after that. It's the exact same process Ridley went through.

The endings made me suspicious. I wonder if Galeem and Dhrakon are based off from a kid or maybe... Sakurai! Why? It's because there was no relation to the real world! The direct said that all fighters and spirits can head back to the real world. For the main question, "Are Galeem and Dharkon have relations to real life? Is Sakurai in this game? Explain."
For the 1st part of the question, I would have to say yes. Then, that means Galeem is the adulthood with a piece of childhood and Dhrakon is full adulthood (with extreme measures!) Using, the Game Theory's Ultimate Lore for Smash and other theories that relates to Smash, I can unravel the mystery once and for all! First off... we start with Dharkon's win.
When Dharkon takes over the Smash-verse, he represents negativity because darkness. Darkness represents the negativity within. Sadness, guilt, anger, and stress are the examples of darkness! His Crazy Hands represent destruction and rage. When Dharkon raids the Smash-verse, Sakurai/kid began to feel the anger within the toys, thinking that the toys ruined his life. Once Dharkon takes over, the kid/Sakurai would get rid of his Smash Toys for good! As a result, Dharken is pure negativity and the kid hates the toys that he had, but what about Galeem? Galeem didn't have a chance, but he will!
Galeem would represent mostly adulthood, but with the rest of it as childhood. Galeem would had to leave everything behind, but spare them temporarily. His Master Hands represent the creativity that Sakurai made and Galeem used it to keep that creativity. When Galeem raids the Smash-verse, Sakurai began to leave the toys as a memory and be left behind. Once Galeem took over, Sakurai/kid (in the real world) would get rid all of the stuff he had behind, but it didn't last long. He still thinks about the memories of Smash, revealing the big mistake the kid have done!
If both were defeated, then the kid/Sakurai would have pure freedom with childhood even though the kid/Sakurai is an adult!
If I am correct, Dharkon wants Sakurai/kid to forget the past and be a man, but Galeem wants Sakurai to keep part of the past and be like an adult. If both were defeated, Sakurai would have pure freedom and let his childhood (and memories) flow once again! That means both Dharkon and Galeem want to get rid of childhood, but with different ways. One wants to store it away and one wants to destroy it! It would be better if there would be an extra cutscene in the real world after credits for each ending, but how? If a cutscene was added to the post-credits, we can find out what happens to the kid. In a true bad ending, Dharkon takes over the entire Smash-verse (or inagination of Sakurai/kid), the person won't remember the childhood because he reached full adulthood! In the bad ending, Galeem wipes all of Smash-verse and leaves all of it a memory. In the real world, Sakurai would realize what he done when getting rid of his childhood and can't go back! On the true ending, all spirits (and fighters?) return to the real world with the main creator. In the real world, Sakurai would find out he still have the childhood and creativity, which he can spread the imagination. Luckily in real world, he actually did! In the Smash-verse, all the characters would be restored and resurrected, making Sakurai realize that he can protect his childhood. Why? Thanks to research, adults actually have childhood. Mostly, it's all work, but the adults sometimes play... right?
Moving the subject away, we may find out that Sakurai is suffering from adulthood and social connection (resulting that Sakurai is in the game, but didn't appear and was "mentioned" atm). This means that his imagination and childhood created the Smash-verse. When Galeem and Dharkon arrived, he was stuck among leaving the past behind, keeping the past as memory, or display his past to the world! Every fighter you see are huge fragments of his childhood and hope when making Super Smash Bros series. Same like the fighters, the spirits are nothing but his memories. On the other hand, the puppets are other fragments of his memories, defiled and messed up from the madness and stress. To be honest, you are playing an important memory in Sakurai's mind, which he is a creation! His name is Kirby and Sakurai made him! The gameplay is Sakurai going through a path in childhood. The fight between Galeem and Dharkon represent the decision of going to full adulthood and getting rid of the past or leaving the past as a memory and move on as an adult. Endings represent his decision and the true ending represent his childhood can still be in the adulthood! As a result, this game is inside of Sakurai's mind!

Normally during the final Dharkom and Galeem fight, if you kill one boss first, the remaining one becomes insanely powerful and is much harder to fight than both of them together.
Normally you're supposed to beat both of them down to very low health before killing both of them as close together as possible, but I guess it doesn't really matter on the easiest difficulty setting :P
