The original Twister is my absolute favourite live action movie and it holds a very special place in my heart. I was ten years old when it came out and I remember what cinema I saw it in, what screen I was in, who I was with, everything. I love meteorology, with a very strong interest in tornadoes, do I remember being so excited that someone bothered to do a movie about tornadoes and Twister was everything I wanted as a fascinated ten year old. One aspect I am praying that they keep in this sequel is the sound of the tornadoes in Twister. They had a deliberate animalistic noise that made them feel like unpredictable monsters and it heightens the original movie for me. It was a great artistic choice that I hope also shows up in Twisters as another way to connect back and give a feeling of the original movie.
Most of the tornado footage was actually filmed by Reed Timmer and his tornado chase team for this movie so a majority of the tornados we will see are actual tornados and not CGI
I grew up in Oklahoma and the original Twister was a local phenomenon because it had our real life local weatherman in the movie, and it took place in real towns here. It was so cool, and felt so real and intense. It added a whole other level intensity because it blurred the line of reality and fantasy.
Twister is very near and dear to me. This is the movie my husband and I saw on our very first date. Thankfully its also a great movie, because it brings me back to that night every time.
I have to admit this trailer has me intrigued now. Prior to this I wasn't interested in Twisters so the trailer did its job. Now time to go back and watch Twister.
People seem confused to see Universal, Warner Bros, and Spielberg’s company are doing this but they did the Original as well Warner Bros is doing the international markets. This looks insane I can not wait to see this one. I do believe the girl is the Daughter of Helen Hunt’s character from the first! My boy Bill Paxton RIP as well as Phillip Hoffman!
So freaking pumped! I watched Twister until my vhs started turning black and white in certain parts. Idk why but one of my favs as a child! YOU GUYS HAVE TO DO A REACTION TO THE ORIGINAL!!
1996 I was in a theater watching The Phantom with Billy Zane when we started hearing these very unsettling roars througout the film. Turns out, we were next to the largest theater in our region, one with the best sound system for its time, and Twister was playing. So powerful we were hearing the tornadoes over the movie we were watching.
at 2:36 they were running to under the bridge. If they are true storm chasers its one of the most well known facts that this is not the way to go, as wind will get much stronger under the bridge and it will be easier for you to get snatched away by tornado. It will protect you from debris I guess, but you probably have higher chances running away in opposite direction of tornado, than just going under some bridge while tornado goes the same direction xd
same in that scene in Man of Steel. I was suprised they do advertise going under the bridge in case of tornado in popular movie like this xd Them getting snatched away was all I could think of tbh in that scene, every single time xd
Yes; I loved the original, ice seen is many times. The effects are a little dated, but it still holds up today. This movie looks amazing, and I can't wait to see it
I'm extremely happy with how this looks. It appears to have the feel of the original still, and that's what I needed. I'll be seeing this. It's not going to be amazing, but it looks like it has just what I want.
Looks great! I loved the original. Caught the end on tv the other night. Interested to see how this ties in. Especially since Dorothy is in this one. Can’t wait for July. Between this and Deadpool & Wolverine, it’s gonna be a fantastic summer.
Twister feels right at home with '70s disaster movies like Towering Inferno and Poseidon Adventure where the actual situations are kinda ridiculous but the films know it and totally roll with it.
I also loved Twister as a kid. I remember during a Field Trip in elementary school the teacher asked for VHS tapes to bring to watch on the bus and I wanted to bring Twister, but apparently parents complained about the language in the movie so we watched Dragon Ball Z Tree of Might instead lol
I loved twister growing up, was and still is to this day one of my favorite movies everything about that movie is great the cast, plot, effects (visual and sound), the score and what’s crazy is it still holds up today being from 1996.
I swear, the film gods are aware of my travel plans. 1st, I won tickets for the Hollywood premier of The Blair Witch Project where I did a great job spooking myself out from their marketing campaign and I was less than a month away from a trip to some rural and forested areas of Maryland, so I passed on the tickets to a friend and I am glad I did because I was in some dark woods a few times and didn't need more imagery from the movie floating through my head in those moments. 2nd, I am about to go on the 2-day train from LA to Seattle and here comes Unbreakable with it's opening disaster. Now this, when I am planning on a road trip for the eclipse in April that is going to take me to Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle, and guess which month is the beginning of the tornado season... yup April! Well I am still going and can't wait to see this in July.
So excited! Loved this movie as a kid. AND the ride at Universal! The closest thing to a disaster movie recently that I have seen was last month’s Society of the Snow on Netflix. Directed by J. A. Bayona and felt like a thematic follow up to my favorite disaster film, The Impossible (that starred a young Tom Holland, Naomi Watts, & Ewan McGregor).
Hurricanes and Earthquakes don't frighten me but Tornadoes are my fear storm. Watching the first Twister was heart pounding but I love that movie and I can't wait to see this one. I know I can't be the only person whose Science teacher played this movie in school.
I am "like" number 619, and we just had a tornado warning in freaking San Diego last week! 😲 There was a funnel cloud forming close to Chula Vista; there are some pics floating around.
I am so excited for this movie!! Twister is one of my all time favorites and is a comfort film for me. I am a weirdo and love to whip the film out during severe weather 😂
Augustin is ME! I did exactly that as a kid too 100 times with this movie! I was so high on Twister as a kid (I'm 32 now), I'd actually walk up to random strangers at restaurants or Walmart or H-E-B & talk about it with them having no idea what the fuck I was talking about... I'm totally the opposite now. Lol Total loner. Y'all should absolutely react to it regardless if y'all have seen it! I really hope Twisters is good too. Trailer leaves me with mixed feelings but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Some people are upset that it’s a similar plot, but I’m excited to see the film explore the culture the first film created. The adrenaline junkies, tornado intercept vehicles, random people going out to chase with an iphone. LET’S FUCKING FO!!
Into the Storm (2014) wasn't too bad of a disaster movie. They tried to do a "found footage" style for some of the shots and I thought it turned out pretty good. And I agree with Hector, this would be a great watch for a 4D experience
My kids love Twister and we watched it over and over, But seriously, who edited that movie?? We play catch that editing mistake... you know, Combine hits windshield, you hear it break, next shot windshield in fine. hahaha
I have one for you: house scene on the road during F5. The house is literally laying on it's side & when they drive through the house, they are on the floor like it was upright instead of driving on the walls. 😂
We watched three trailers from yesterday, and watched Deadpool & Wolverine last so that we’d enjoy the other two, beforehand. Otherwise we might not have enjoyed Twisters of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes as much. Please don’t assume we weren’t aware of what was released yesterday.

I love to original too! Watched it on VHS all the time :)
Most of the tornado footage was actually filmed by Reed Timmer and his tornado chase team for this movie so a majority of the tornados we will see are actual tornados and not CGI
I certainly hope so because all I could see was CGI garbage in this trailer.
That's so exciting!
if thats true, thats so cool!
That's amazing!!! Reed and team were my fav chasers on the discovery show, saw the Dominator one time on the highway too!!!
@@kriscynical
Cynical, are we?
I was always amazed by how good the effects were in Twister. Looking back, it still holds up incredibly well.
That's true
@@D_Ella1269 I still can’t watch the ending scene because of how scary it is.

Well it has happened again. This time it was filmed in El Reno.... the place the big one 🌪️ occurred & it was done on purpose.
@@StormChaserMaci. It was filmed in El Reno? That's awesome. I wonder if they have local weathermen in the film again.
The surround sound on Twister is amazing.
Gotta love the Phillip Seymour Hoffman callback character, blast them tunes man!!
Twister is very near and dear to me. This is the movie my husband and I saw on our very first date. Thankfully its also a great movie, because it brings me back to that night every time.
I can’t wait to see this in IMAX.
Yep I would watch Twister over and over and over and over!

Yes she is the daughter.
I LOVE Twister. It is an amazing movie.
Also I have never met anybody that doesn't love Twister.
Daisy Edgar Jones is amazing so exited to see her in this.
This movie looks so good fr. Woww. The original twister is still good to me. Long Live Bill Paxton🙏🏽🕊💯
Bill was a legend. The Extreme hasn't been forgotten.
@@StormChaserMaci. facts guys. Fire reaction🔥💯
Twister was a movie my family loved, whenever it was on the tv we'd watch it. Twisters is gonna be so good!! It will def reignite my fear of twisters.
"If my balls aren't tingling, the movie isn't doing its job" - words to live by!

I'm a total fan of the original movie, saw it in the theaters, and several times on DVD
I also loved twister as a child and made my grandpa play it as often as possible...
As a kid i would try to build my own dorthy out of legos...lol...
If it's half as fun and compelling as the first one, it's a win!
I love _Twister!_

You are not alone. Saw the original in 1996. Seems like forever ago now. That VHS is behind glass.
I gotta admit, this is not the first Super Bowl trailer I thought this channel would be reacting to 😉

Why would we watch ANYTHING after Deadpool & Wolverine? Setting yourself up for failure right there.
Yes; I loved the original, ice seen is many times. The effects are a little dated, but it still holds up today. This movie looks amazing, and I can't wait to see it
No doubt about that.

you guys should do a trailer reaction to the 96 Twister. Sooo good

I agree, there had better be at least one flying cow if the CGI looks this good already.
The OG Twister has some great pop culture moments. Moo! 😂
"I gotta go, we got cows" 🤣
Legendary!
What a great season for disaster action. Twister in May and Independence Day in July.
You guys need to watch that original Twister movie for sure. It’ll be fun.
The original movie is so great, watched many times in theaters and at home…
I need THAT DEADPOOL REACTION STAT
Are you ready? -From a storm chaser.
There’s a rumor that daisy edgar-Jones’s character is the daughter of bill Paxton and Helen hunts character from the original twister
She is.

Damn it boys you know good and well what we’re all waiting for 😤😂
My dad had Twister on DVD and I watched it on repeat one summer after learning about weather phenomena in school that year.
Glen Powell felt more like Bill Paxton's team.

think the reason we watched the first over and over as kids its bc it was some awesome early demo of wicked physics in cg at the time : D

Who?
You mean another legendary outlaw no one heard of?

It's not Alien... it's... Alien*s*! 😄

This is a great movie. I know…. 😉 Isaac will appreciate the nice words.
i wonder if it takes place years after the first one like the next generation
28 years to be exact.
WHERE'S THAT DP&W REACTION 😭
Christopher Nolan would have made sure he filmed it with real twisters if he directed this movie.
Cmon guys I want to see the Deadpool 3 reaction
Still mad at tornadoes for what they did to Jonathan Kent!!!
Watch the original
Why nowadays y'all never give reaction for MCU or superheroes movies??? That's deadpool 3 teaser example??

My memory of the original movie was it being much funnier than this trailer is giving. Hope it brings the funny
2012 was the last good disaster movie
