Stria support hotline at you service! I'm so excited you're finishing languishing WIPs, I may continue my blanket design that's been sitting on my floor!
I completely understand and agree with your throwing that yarn out. I came upon a moth in one of my bags of yarn and threw out the whole bag because I didn’t want to deal with moth eggs all over every bit of yarn.
Hi Rachel, I’m one of those new people you mentioned. I appreciate your description of Sam’s yarn but wondered about the itch factor. I’m very sensitive to itchy yarn and have learned to be cautious no matter how lovely the product. Your Grettir sweater is just gorgeous!
Hi! Welcome! The yarn is not itchy for me, even around my neck. I don’t think I am hyper sensitive, but I am fairly sensitive. I don’t have any issue with it. Hope that helps!
For that leftover bleeding yarn-could you crank tubes and set the dye on the tubes? I was just thinking that might be an option if you really don’t want to chuck it.
Congrats on your sweater. It is beautiful. Question- Do you prefer super wash or non super wash for colorwork? Do you find that non super wash pills more for you? Thanks.
I am really loving NSW for colorwork, although I’ve used both. I think traditionally it’s recommended to use NSW. My Treehouse Knits NSW pills a lot, but not sure yet if that is an isolated issue.
Awww your sleeves!! Why did you put the sweater in the freezer? (or is that a euphemism?) And re the blue yarn … could you skein it on your niddy noddy and include it with the acid bath of the whale pieces? Consider adding a “yarn mop” - bare yarn that will grab the excess dye. Just a thought.
Great question! Putting in the freezer helps reduce static that fuzzier yarns often have, so it makes frogging much easier. I also put my mohair/suri skeins in the freezer for about 20mins before winding them into cakes. Makes the process so much smoother!
"no one is finding you well" was unreasonably HILARIOUS
lol!

Yes! Time to revisit it!
Both of the newly finished sweaters look great. I worked on the sleeves of my Sheep camp while I watched😊
Wonderful! Thanks so much for watching :) The Sheep Camp will be glorious once it’s done!

Now there’s an idea!

@@rachelisknitting Good to know. I am going to start the Lumme sweater and I was torn. I am going to try NSW for that sweater. Thanks! 😊
Push the stria cardigan. Colette cardigan harvest the yarn if you aren't feeling good about it.
