    Hi Laura! I just wanted to say that I bought the Stella quilt pattern the minute it came out and I’ve been forcing myself to finish all my WIPs before starting it, and only working on deciding what to do, playing, colouring on my iPad using the templates, etc. Anyway, I finished my last WIP on Tuesday and immediately started the blanket and I’m in love! It’s more complicated than I expected (in a really good way!) so it’s keeping me entertained, and I don’t want to stop knitting (which hasn’t happened in a long time). Thanks for the amazing pattern!

    I cannot get over how unique all your patterns are ❤️. They are brilliant and I love them all. I made a few hot water bottle covers last year and gifted them. They were a massive hit ❤. I am planning to knit myself a soufflé for a Christmas sweater as well 😍

    Would love the mittens pattern. Have you thought about maybe donating a percentage of the sales to your Grandma's care home? As someone who works in a carehome, even the smallest of donations can go a long way to helping to enrich residents' lives, and im sure would be greatly appreciated.
    I also want to thank you! The Maxine hot water bottle has inspired me to take my first steps into colourwork 😊 xx

    Great idea for a make along! At the beginning of this year the only goal I had was to knit less gifts and knit my projects for me and my husband I purchased yarn for. WELL, everyone decided to get pregnant at the same time, and the cardigan I started for myself in January is still a WIP! Just found out we have 2 more pregnant lady's in our family that are expecting in Dec. So guess who isn't going to reach any of her goals for 2024! Yup!!! ME! 😂😂😂

    Your knitting is so beautiful. I finally finished my sweater with mohair and merino wool. I have ripped it out so many times. If the fibre was cheaper I would have thrown it in the trash. I am so proud 😢to say I went 😮to a wool show here in Southern Ontario and was stopped by at least 30 times to say it was beautiful. So I want to thank you for your podcast to not give up. I do not know how to show you or apply for your gifts of wool on the computer. I could asked my children but they have given up on me regarding computer skills lol Thankyou again. Sue

    Ooh what a great idea to use up yarns with fingerless mitts, I'm going to keep that in mind for gift knitting next year. And I was immediately intrigued by the Groningen Sweater, but then even more so because of the name - it's named after the city in the Netherlands where my dad was born and grew up in before immigrating to Canada! So thanks for sharing!

    I love the sound of your top down fingerless mittens! I am working on some penny gloves using leftover yarn and have come across the issue you mentioned. I want to make them as long as I can at the wrist but I'm not sure how much yarn I'll need to finish both of them.

    So nice to see you again Laura! Your red Souffle is looking FAB! I'm almost ready to split my pink long sleeve Souffle, but most of my attention has been taken over by my red Lento sweater that I'm making for Christmas -- we're both making red Christmas sweaters ❤ Mine is a deeper cranberry red though. I've knitted a hat with the same texture as the Groningen Pullover and that patter called the rib stitch pattern English rib -- it's essentially a 1x1 rib separated by garter stitch and it's sooooooo squishy and cozy, highly recommend!

    That’s the second double collar I’ve seen this week. Love it. After the first one I saw I decided to do it on my next sweater, wish I could do it right now but the sweater I’m making now but that’s a folded funnel neck and it won’t adapt well. Great videos and I loved, loved your October vlogs.

    Thank you for a wonderful podcast, Laura! I really like your Midland cardigan design! I'm knitting for 1 year and I'm thinking when the pattern will be released I would love to knit your cardigan as my first big garment project. Recently I've knitted a sleeveless top and a lot of scarves, do you think I would manage a Midland Cardigan as a new knitter?😊 Thank you!

    • @_laurapenrose_
      @_laurapenrose_  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi!! The midland is definitely advanced, it is an unusual construction with some difficult techniques involved so no I wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner. The midland neck however is much more accessible, still more challenging and you will need to understand how short rows work, but a much smaller project so great if you want to practice the midland construction without committing to a whole garment! Xxx
