LOVE THIS ANGLE. you can actually see how they move and hit and position.
Agreed! I do like it when they change angles during the match, but this one gives you the best feel for the court and the players' movement.

I think I agree. These guys have just the right balance of fundamentals and invention to be consistently entertaining. Really satisfying match-up!

hmm could someone explain why the commentators said stroke but was utterly shocked when the ref gave a no let? because from when they showed it again and when it was in real time, i thought it was no let
My instinct was that, although the ball stayed pretty short, James was there and would have been able to retrieve it and possibly hit a good shot. Looking at the slow motion replay, even with the interference his right foot lands pretty close and in time with the second bounce, suggesting with an unimpeded lunge it would have been absolutely no trouble for James to retrieve before that second bounce. Personally I would have been hesitant to give a stroke, but given that James went the right way and the shot wasn't dead by any means I was very surprised at the no let.
Hope this helps; the tldr is they thought he would have easily got it to which I'm agreeing with. I would almost back myself to have got it back as it certainly wasn't a roller!
I'm with the commentators - thought the same thing before they said it. If you get stuck between your own drop and your opponent it's a stroke unless the drop is nick-perfect, and this one wasn't. 11:27
@jacob eliosoff i see i see. yeah it didnt become as flat as a pancake as with a wilstrop drop during the game. but yes i get it now thanks!
