Giethoorn is a beautiful water village in the province Overijssel, the Netherlands. Also known as the Venice of the North and has more canals than roads. It is built without roads, a series of waterways and bridges connect the town’s 2,600 residents.
It is a very popular destination for a day trip. You can hire a boat, join an organised boat trip or make a walk along the canals. There are several restaurants to eat & several hotels if you want to stay a night or two.
