- We went to Giethoorn on May 2022. It is by far the most beautiful village we have seen so far. Really worth visiting.
Can easily be reached via public transport. There are also many private and public tours.

Yes booking can be done on the spot but try to go little early as there can be rush.

Is it possible to live there and is it possible to rent a house? If a house can be rented, how much does it cost??
Not sure whether you can find a house to live there but for short stay or vacation you can definitely find hotels and guest houses

We spent an entire day, as it can be covered in a day, but if you want you can stay there as well
how much did you pay for the return trip on public transport?
We don't remember the exact fares but the prices were reasonable. Public transport is very convenient there and the fares can be checked from the official website www.tib.org/de/linies-i-horaris

Once you reach the bigger lake is there any landmarks to back to your starting point as i saw couple of videos no one guided on that part.
Also i can see on you way to drive a lot of channels are showing your left and right - how the map would be helpful during drive
Yes there is a landmark from where you can go back to starting point, all will be told to you when you rent the boat.
On the channels there are signs on the way that matches on that of the maps, so that you can easily identify.
