Dana gave his post fight interview & was asked about who made more money due to the changes , Dana replied "no one, they all got deals" meaning they all got paid their normal contract rates.
It’s a shame this is even called “contract” when it in actuality only protects UFC’s interest. Pay issue seems to be getting so much better. Now the nature of this contract needs to be altered to accommodate fairness for fighters.
The UFC is not a sport, its just a company, if you want to work for that company, like any company, you either accept the terms and conditions or not. Nobody is forced to accept and sign a contract.

It’s crazy, it’s like UFC fighters are stuck in a similar contract to restricted free agents in the NBA. Legit can’t get offers til a certain point in time, if you get an offer then the team you were with can match it or let you go, etc. Makes no sense for a sport like the UFC. They should be unrestricted free agents as soon as their contract is up.
I'm hoping that the ongoing lawsuit leads to the UFC relenting on some of their more unsavory contract policies. The sunset claus was already added as a way for them to get ahead of one of the accusations levied against then. I hate to say it but I don't think we'll get anywhere without court mandates or at least a credible threat of unionization. It's a bummer that MMA as a whole can't just operate like boxing does now that Dana White has the sport by the balls and probably truly believes that MMA was his idea.

Nate wouldn't have faced the same fighter if he made 170. He got to fight heavy and not stressed. Judging how he fought Kevin at 180+ is not a good indication of how he would match nate at 170. I think Nate had more of a chance and Khamzat's team knew it would be a problem if he faced Nate after a brutal weight cut. I think it only benefited Khamzat to switch.
the card sold bad because people are going through some tough times when it comes to the economy. I work as a trucker and i've never had it this tough when it comes to the money. Its not that nate diaz vs khamzat is a bad fight, we just cant buy the ppv-cards because we dont have any money because the goverment had screwed us up.

that was an absolutely trash line up until the change up. Additionally Nate had absolutely NOOOO interest in that fight which he openly confessed on MMA news (i believe). The odds were -1800Chimaev to +900Nate!!!! You could literally put your mortgage on that fight and start spending the winnings before the fight even happens! ahaha. It was an absolutely intentional occurrence. He didn't seem shocked at all when he missed, almost like he knew there wouldn't be any consequence!!! The card turned out so much better. it was pathetic before that change up. whether it was fate or the UFC, be thankful it happened because Nate had no chance.
