When I got my bike, I was looking for frame sliders and they gave me the Kawasaki catalog and man 240 bucks for frame sliders from kawi, no thanks, I like the shoguns, first bike, glad to be back on two wheels.. it’s a feeling of freedom and happiness I can not explain!
Hey RZ, can yal make an in depth video on the difference between Standard, Short, and Domed frame sliders; what their differences are and what they're used for? I was hoping to find an explanation the functional differences, and Domed weren't mentioned.
Will the shogun frame sliders fit on my Kawasaki ZZR 250? I can´t find any frame sliders for my motorcycle. I hope this wil fit, beceause the ninja 250 is on the list of Shogun and the ZZR 250 is just the older version of the ninja 250. But I want to be sure.
Which is the Best Frame Sliders for Kawasaki Ninja1000 (2019) among these Evotech Performance Frame Sliders , R&G Frame Sliders , Puig Pro Frame Sliders ?
Like always great video. I got 2018 cbr650f in Canada. I'm looking to get sliders for it and also my wife's cbr500r. Please tell me what to order? Thank you
For more slider surface area, look at SW-Motech for the 650 and Puig for the 500. For something more affordable, look at Vortex for both bikes. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sw-motech-frame-sliders-honda-cbr650f-2014-2016 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/vortex-v3-20-frame-sliders-honda-cbr650f-2014-2018 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-pro-frame-sliders-honda-cbr500r-2016-2017 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/vortex-v3-20-frame-sliders-honda-cbr500r-2013-2017
I have a 1997 Suzuki rm 125, i'm a fairly new rider and just fixed my dirt bike up and want to keep it in one piece, any recommendations, no price range
Now, I think they are called k sliders? I heard they are better at keeping your bike from flipping and protect the oil, alternator, not just the frame. True or was I misinformed?
+Gregory Van Wyk I'm not familiar with K sliders. We do have engine case covers and guards that protect more of the bike though. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/engine-covers
Unfortunately, we do not carry any frame sliders that fit the Katana. It looks like there's another company, T-Rex Racing, that makes frame sliders for your bike. -DrewZilla
man, sure wish i had those puig sliders with the rubber nubbins on my bike when i crashed. frame slider went right into my knee and shattered my kneecap to pieces
Why aren't there more A1/125cc bikes on the bikefinder? Ex: yamaha mt125 / yzf r125 I just bought my first bike (mt125), and want to put a windscreen and some levers on it, but don't know which ones fit..
+Bendik Aune Our bike finder only lists bikes available here in the United States, as we only sell parts for bikes available in the US. The US doesn't have a tiered licensing system, so besides the Honda Grom, most US bikes are 250cc and up. -DrewZilla
It depends on the layout of the bike, but generally if you have the greater coverage of crash bars, you don't need frame sliders. You might still want axle sliders though. -DrewZilla
What would you prefer I have a 2009 ninja 650r I just want slider for just in case I drop my bike so I don't crack my frame and I would prefer longer no cuts
I recommend both the Sato Racing and Puig options. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sato-racing-frame-sliders-kawasaki-ninja-650r-2009-2011 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-r12-frame-sliders-kawasaki-ninja-650r-2009-2011

hey, jimmy hier from Germany.i just got my new bike,it`s a CBR 600rr 2011 limited edition and i drive a lot with firends on street and mountain, but i also planed with friends to dirve on racetrack.so what would you suggest me for my CBR?
All frame sliders we offer for your bike require cutting a hole in the fairing on each side. You have to decide whether you want to drill through your fairings in order to protect your frame or whether you want to keep your fairing intact and go without frame sliders. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-r12-frame-sliders-honda-cbr600rr-2009-2012 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rg-racing-aero-frame-sliders-honda-cbr600rr-2009-2012 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shogun-frame-sliders-honda-cbr600rr-09-12
Hey guys! Would you recommend the PUIG sliders (Either Pro or R12) for someone who uses a ZX6R for commute? Someone stole my Shogun sliders and I'm going to replace them but I'm stuck between the PUIG and the Yoshimura.
Damn, that sucks about the Shogun sliders. Sorry to hear it. Between Puig and Yoshimura, I prefer Puig a bit more due to the more robust design and greater slider surface area. -DrewZilla
Frame sliders are smaller and are generally designed to protect the frame. Crash bars are larger and are generally intended to protect more of the bike. -DrewZilla
Most motorcycles are actually asymmetrical, so the frames are slightly different on each side. If the mounting point on one side sticks out farther than the mounting point on the other side, the sliders will be two different lengths. That way, the ends of the sliders stick out the same amount on each side. Hope this makes sense! -DrewZilla
Puig has great coverage and doesn't require cutting the bodywork, though Graves are also nice (and more affordable). -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-pro-frame-sliders-yamaha-r1-2009-2014 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/graves-motorsports-frame-sliders-yamaha-r1-2009-2014

Absolutely! You don’t have to have a beard to wrench, and you definitely don’t have to be a man either! For some background, here’s Lemmy’s account of the history of the BSD: _“I love telling the story of it. I was sitting around the airport with some colleagues - among them were two of the co-founders of RevZilla. We were trying to come up with some way of quantifying how difficult something was, so I suggested how many BEERS it takes to get through a job. I was misheard, and it became BEARDS, which was funny because Mike C., one of our H-D geniuses, was present, and he has a wizard-esque beard. He laughed and liked it, and believe it or not, the outline of the guy you see in the graphic is actually the outline of Mike's head!”_ Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

Hey. Great video. Im a fairly new rider and i ride a 2104 honda cbr65F speeds between 25-80mph.
What sliders do you recomend?
Not on a budget really
What do you suggest for my 2015 Suzuki GW250Z it's my first bike and I'm a beginer rider
Thanks Lemmy, great video.
man, sure wish i had those puig sliders with the rubber nubbins on my bike when i crashed. frame slider went right into my knee and shattered my kneecap to pieces
I never thought about that..shitty it happened. I think I'll rethink my slider ideas.
I mostly see frame sliders for sport bikes, should i get them for cruisers like the rebel 500 or for a chopper?
If they are available for a Rebel 500, then sure. However, most cruisers and choppers use highway bars for protection, not frame sliders. -DrewZilla

Is it possibly to custom add a slider to a Yamaha vstar 650?
You don’t have to go custom there’s a decent amount out there already
What should I get for a fzs 600 Fazer?
You guys have been so infomative. Great vid m8.

Wouldn't crash bobbins damage/bend your frame, If you drop your bike while standing still?
Generally no, but it really depends on the design of the sliders, how they attach to the frame, and how the bike falls. -DrewZilla

Anyone know where I can get this for an Indian Scout ?
Cruisers typically don't utilize frame sliders for crash protection. The closest you would find would be crash bars.
-Zack
Yeah that’s all I’ve able to find. Thanks for the reply 👍👍
Thank you for this video. Howerver, I ve just gotten a NC700S and I m confused betwen having a Frame slider or a crash bar ?

Puig pro sliders 🙂
Which frame slider do u suggest me for my ktm RC 200 2017 white bike for better stylish look
Unfortunately since the KTM RC200 is not available in the US, we don't carry any frame sliders for it. -TeamZilla Chris
Why is the pair in different sizes? One taller than the other?
Most motorcycles are actually asymmetrical, so the frames are slightly different on each side. That way, the ends of the sliders stick out the same amount on each side. Hope this makes sense! -DrewZilla
