Been out today with a four metre whip,really basic setup and had a great mixed bag Roach,Rudd,Bream,common,chub,Tench,and Barbel absolutely brilliant day.after a very slow winter it felt great to get so many different species on the bank with such simple tactics 😁great video👏👏
what a nice spot you have there danny boy ,bliss in a mad world ,the wild life the fishing great stuff good for the soul,,you had some nice roach there and a mixed bag ,,,whips are great fun i use mine for roach on deep slow rivers ,and wagglers are good for trying lots of spots that poles can,t reach,nice video danny boy ,until your next adventure tight lines and, um ,,warm weather, ps phoned the b b c and asked if i could book some warm weather for tomorrow they said to book off ,i think that.s what they said,lol cheers danny boy,,
Cheers again, as I said on maggotdrowners I love the simplicity of my light 90s Shakespeare 3 metre whip. I caught a 3lb tench and lots of roach and rudd on mine on Saturday. I’m also embarking on a retro 80s waggler fishing journey now too. The fishing friends I have are the online fishing community 🙂
Great video, dan. Used to be a belting little venue up Lymm way called Statham pool. Dead small pond, but had some magnificent Roach in it. Gonna google it, now.
Great video as always Dan,,,my kind of fishing. As you say it's about having fun and being with nature. As Matt Hayes said it's the bite that gives you the adrenal rush and not catching the biggest fish. You just don't know what's coming to the net.
Beaut venue! Started using my 6m margin pole and I've been fishing nice bream, carp roach all sorts and its the best type of fishing! Keep up the videos 👍

Some of my favourite days on the bank have been spent using a 4-5 mtr whip....simple,fun fishing !!!
