Hey Skylite. Yep, me again, still on break from teaching between summer and fall semesters, which means I can spend all the time I want watching my favorite av channel. Did you hear the PTU barking at 16:04? I always get a charge out of that. BTW, I live in Medford, NJ, and I always get a kick out of flying over the area on the way into PHL, seeing what's familiar to me. Anyway, thanks for this, and all your great videos. Be well my friend.
Meanwhile, schools just started back this week around here. Just in time for it to be 107 felt like 122 here yesterday. You know.... I like living where I do. It's cheap, and being within driving distance of 6 different commercial airports is nice... But, yesterday and today (felt like 117 today) were one of the few times in the last 25+ years where I thought... Why on Earth do I live here haha. My AC has been running nonstop and I honestly don't think I've ever felt it SO hot here. I mean, technically on paper, we've had 110+ degree days before, but not with 70% humidity like we did yesterday. Yesterday, there was ZERO wind, and the haze was so thick in the air you couldn't even see across my backyard before you started to notice it in the air. I heard, don't know if it's true, that Manhattan, KS was the hottest point in the US yesterday, even above the temps recorded in Death Valley. Also, I need to send you an email as I just had another follow up with the specialist in KC yesterday.
@@sla31 Yeah, whenever you can, I definitely would like to hear about this follow up visit. As far as the summer temps are concerned, let me just say, that having lived through both the Blizzard of 77 (in that other hellhole called western NY, and hurricane Katrina in south Florida, if I never see snow again, I'll be a happy man. Just what I want to do, get up at 4:30 AM to scrape my car, so I can get to campus and see my students who just can't seem to understand that the final draft of a formal research paper should not look like a text message. Well, you get the idea. And guess what, I never, once, had to scrape my car in south Florida. Of course, in some cases, there would be no car to scrape after some of the hurricanes. Problem solved! Talk to you soon.
True. I used to watch airliners all day takeoff because my old job at FedEx Ground is right near runway 27L. It's definitely rare to land on that one from the direction he came. I've seen parallel landings too on 27L and 27R on busy days. Also saw rare landings on 9L closer to the terminals. Planes would fly directly over my building. I knew it was rare because usually they'll land more to the south of my FedEx building on 9R when the wind was blowing from the east.
Well, I book all of my flights with a card from one of those two companies, but no, I never buy them through their travel portals. I've said this many times before. No one, should ever, ever... buy any flight from anywhere except through the airline directly. If you find a fare that is cheaper than what the airline is offering on their own website, then it is likely a deeply discounted bulk fare, and you will be in big trouble if you need to change or cancel your flight down the line.
I would love to. The problem with those, based on where I live, is that they're expensive haha. And I pay for everything you see on my channel out of my own pocket. I upload 3 new full flights every week, which means I have to fly around 150 flights per year, just to meet that upload schedule. That's a lot of flying, and I can't do that kind of flying if I'm spending $700-$,2,000 for 1 or 2 flights on airline like Qantas or Emirates. I do what I can with what I've got. I do have some really cool flights coming up soon on some pretty big international carriers.
My home airport! 🙂
Smooth indeed! Great catch as always thanks for sharing!

Great to see my home airport. I can’t wait to fly out of there on another trip.

Runway 27L landing. It is rare to land on that runway as it is usually just for departures only while landings take place on Runway 27R.
Interesting. I'm not familiar enough with PHL to have known this.

@@ghos7kam779 I landed on runway 9R once, but it is rare for an eastbound landing in general.

Great flight! Have you ever booked a flight through a credit card company like Chase and Capital One?

You should plan airlines like Air New Zealand, Qantas, British Airways, Air India, Emirates or anything!

Have you ever flown spirit?
Nope, and don't plan to haha. I prefer to have at least some comfort when I fly haha.
@@sla31 the only airline I've flown is American but I might fly spirit just to see what it's like
