hi bhaiya , i am a 3rd sem student in aiml in my college , next year Microsoft will be coming to take students for interships , so I am currently doing leetcode and interviewbit., what else I need to do to stand out and increase my chances of getting intersnhips , and what are the things I need to prepare for it
Thats an amazing oppurtunity, make sure your core CS fundamentals are strong, you know about 1) OS, DBMS, OOPS concepts and Networking -> theory 2) Good with DSA and Algo -> LeetCode 3) Knowledge in ML as you are studying that, cover all the basic theories 4) 2-3 good projects that you did and able to explain it passionately 5) some activities you did to show case your leadership qualities or Problem solving capacity 6) This is a bit like cherry on the top method -> learn some basics of system design and understand it in a high level overview (that means just basic theory and idea)
Hello Bhaiyaa, I am currently in 1st year of my college(LPU) I have just decent knowledge about Python, java and HTML ,CSS . Should I go for GSoC or what to master these all then go fully prepared.
Dont wait for that, go for GSoC and learn a lot from there this year itself, then you can participate in coming years also with better experience. Always jumo to the oppurtunities and dont wait to be a perfectionist.
Yes ofcourse, provided that there are some projects for that. You can check in previous years project list if anything on that was oresent last year. then there is a good chance it will be there in this year also. Any project that needs a web app, frontend UI, etc will need you. so I believe there will be a ton of them.

I am a third year online lpu students , is the degree equall to regular and on hiring basis as i have much skill pls ans . 2. is open source leaning project like "The odin project" , "cs50" and other open free courses are useful then youtube videos . Thanks for All . Have a Good time with your code.
Hello, 1. I have no Idea what this online student means? and I am curious to know why you choose that instead of a physical University life experience? At the End if you have BTech Degree, it doesnt matter how or where you got it from. all that matters is you have skill and knowledge. 2. Yes ofcourse having hands on experience by doing projects are way more valuable than any certification course or others. Comparing CS50 and youtube video is all upto individual preference. If you like the classes in CS50 or any other free university classes then obviously go for it. If you dont like it and find some youtube videos more helpful then go for it. At the end it is all about gaining knowledge, and it can be from various and multiple resources. But Projects are whole other story, it is the prrof that you know things you say you know. I hope this is clear for you now? if not let me know.
