Hi! Yui, please spare a minute to read my explanation: The reason why Filipinos are happy and positive even if there's calamities or flood or typhoon is because most of our mindset are: "if we cry or be sad or alarmed on that situation, it won't solve the problem anyway!" We still get sad or scared of course, we're just human, but we keep in mind that we need to stand up again and move on with life, that's why we just laugh off the problem. Some say it is like "bahala na" (used to express an attitude of optimistic acceptance or fatalistic resignation in an uncertain or difficult situation. Example: "Bahala na, I'll just write my novel and see where it goes.") But the downside of that "attitude" or mindset of us Filipinos is we tend to get to used to it too much or "too relaxed" to the point that we just settle on that situation instead of learning from it or fixing the root problem, like that problem of flooding in the Philippines, (main cause aside from global warming is the problem on clogged drainage due to improper waste management/too much garbage, cutting too much trees in the forest). The community's not fixing the problem and will say "bahala na" or "bagyo ka lang, Pinoy kami." It's beginning to look like a "toxic positivity". You get what I mean Yui? 😅✌🏻 But on a brighter side, we're just really innate happy people?
Juris React san, Thank you very much for your very polite explanation. Now I understand why Filipinos have a positive mindset and the pros and cons that come from it. I was very surprised that the positiveness of the Filipinos was one of the causes of the flood itself. I learned that it is important to keep a positive side and look at the bad side and face the reality firmly. This comment inspired me to think about it. thank you very much.
@@aliyuiclubfilipinojapanese7675 arigato gozaimasu on taking time to read my comment. And yes, that's what "lacking" to us Filipinos in the Philippines, we lack on focusing and being FIRM on fixing the root cause of the country's problem. In short, lack of discipline and century deep-rooted "crab mentality" and corruption on different aspects unfortunately... 😞 Don't get me wrong Yui, I love my country so much that's why I dream that my country will be great once again like your country in Japan. The flood you see in this videos are mostly taken at visayas and mindanao and somewhere parts of central luzon, and every year we experience many typhoon especially from the month of june-december, think the alphabet from A-Z, we are so lucky if we experience 10(A-J) typhoons in 1 year but most of the time more than 10 typhoons will land in the philippines within 1year..
I remember when there was a typhoon and our class is not suspended yet so me and my classmates standing on our chairs because of the flood 😂😂 Solid supporter here!! ❤️💞
This flooding only occur when a heavy rain pouring almost nonstop in 1 day.. but for a heavy rain that only last for 2-5hrs its rare to flood an specific flood prone area.. rain drops in random places.. it has to rain simultaneously near a flood prone area and most of those places the people moved to a safer location.. but experiencing these kind of flooding like knee level of water is like 1 every 3 years (province not included) coz as for me last i experience that are 12-15 years ago.
I agree about the floods. First of all, if you look at the map, the sea water goes everywhere around the islands. So rivers often overflow. Secondly, we have monsoon rains, too. We have a lot more rainfall than I’ve ever experienced here in Japan (about 4,000mm per year.) Then, there’s the storm drains. We have tiny ones in the Philippines. We don’t have those epic storm drains that runs below Tokyo. Those things are huuuge! 😮
Hello CB! Thank you so much for the information!! I love knowing more about the Philippines and you were able to provide that information to me! thank you soooo much!
if in japan you guys experience earthquakes a lot in the Philippines its typhoons were it's like some countries feel the might of certain elements for example you Japanese feel the earth in the form of earthquakes we Filipinos deal with the wind and waters in the form of typhoons and Portugal for example deals with the element of fire in the form of wildfires (i got the Portugal part from google) also speaking of September that is the month where Christmas starts here ( yes Christmas starts during September and we celebrate it for almost half a year because it Christmas ends around the 3rd or 4th week of January)

Filipinos don't easily surrender. We have strong faith in God.
Yah typhoons are frequent in the Philippines. I think every year they get at least 20. A lot of those times it floods on many areas.
Yes, but i think flooding is not that common as 80% like come on man.
