    Great video as always bro! I used to do the same by inserting the extractor tube all the way in into the dipstick tubes of my 3 M273 engines and one M272 engine in the past. Had to wait quite long to get all the oil out as they take a lot of oil. But then read somewhere that all MB engines have dipsticks running all the way to the bottom of the pans and at the bottom end they are designed to get every drop out of there. Now since I read that, tried on all of my cars and wow what a difference!!! So what I now do is, I replace the filter with a new one first as doing that lets all the oil from the filter housing drain into the pan, then install and tighten the new filter to spec.
    Leave the oil cap on and tight. Then take the big diameter extractor hose and seal it at the top of the dipstick tube with masking tape (easier & cleaner to remove than duck tape)! Oh man, you would be surprised to see how fast it pulls all the oil out to the last drop. I have heard that you can also get a rubber adapter to fit and seal your dipstick at the top. The vacuum created in the whole engine works for you much better than just inserting the tube all the way to the bottom! Thats how some dealers do.
    Please keep the videos coming👍🏼

      I really really appreciate you Harsimran for sharing this knowledge with me and my viewers. I will most definitely look into this and try it on my next oil change video (I did a couple more cars the same way already tho ..)
      Do you happen to know what those adaptors are called? I’d really love to get a couple of those and add it to my tools and also make these oil changes even quicker

    Why doesn't this CLS have a normal dip stick? If I order this pump, I hope the hose fits into the tube. haha

    • @MrCARman
      @MrCARman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A lot of these engines just come with dip stick covers and then you have to order the dipstick from Mercedes. But if you order the pump from my link, they will work because you get a few different tube sizes

    Please note, this will not work (completely) on a CLS55, as the M113k engine has 2 oil sumps (and therefore also 2 drain plugs)

    I use this exact pump for my other cars, but, does this work for CLS 55 ?! Since there are 2 drain plugs! The design of tbe oil pan is different on 55s?

      Yes this works on the cls55 amg, I just go thru the main drain plug, I never bothered changing the oil out from the second plug

    Do you use a Torque Wrench for the oil filter? If so why lb of torque and if no why not?

    • @MrCARman
      @MrCARman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just hand tighten it. It is really unnecessary to torque it

    The only thing about this is that since you don’t go under the car, you can’t see potential things like oil leaks from the oil filter housing gaskets etc.

      @@MrCARman yep! Tricks of the trade with older dual sport motorcycles. Bolts dropping in the catch pan. Easier to find. But also great at catching any contaminants/metal flakes.
