Bought a kill suit long jacket on your advice for last season, and killed a buck on the ground. Absolutely love it, great concealment and extremely lightweight. It is perfect for camo in the south. This series has me really excited about this upcoming season. God bless!
awesome video Robert, options are good to know. wish I could sit that low but I would never be able to get up. my knees are shot, heck, my whole body is shot. So it is ground blinds for me, probably pop ups so I can get away with movement and so on. Yes, you need to do some trimming on the Gillie suit, plus shoot with it a lot or you will be regretting that you didn't do it. The thrill of having a deer just yards from you, heck, feet away from you on the ground is crazy exciting. The wind of course is everything, so I always tried to have two spots to set up on for the wind. This enabled me to hunt most of the time no matter the wind direction instead of having to wait.
As always love your videos. I do a mixture of saddle and ground hunting. Moving to more ground hunting these days as well. Check out the Titan 3D leafy suits. They are top notch, durable and not that expensive. They’re made with no seeum mesh. Being from the south as well, this is key to helping keep those pesky bugs off me along with treating it with permethrin prior to season beginning. I had several deer within 5 yards of me while ground hunting last year. Keep on giving your wisdom and advice. God bless!
I have both Waldrops seats had the Turkey seat for about a month or so and most definitely it will be my new hunting seat. Shooting my longbow very well from it.
I am 59 and have always hunted whitetail from 20 feet up. Starting to think about going to the ground in a shoot through blind. Guys do bag them in the ground blind. My understanding is the key is to get the blind out weeks before you occupy it so the deer get used to it being part of the scenery 🏹
How much shorter is the turkey seat than the regular seat ? I plan on sharing it on our channel ! Love to watch your channel ! God bless you my brother !
Was going to order a Kill Suit Sapper, but the Woodland Digital is out of stock. Was wondering if you think the Wicked Woods suit would work as well? I hunt in deep East Texas which is a lot like the areas you hunt. Thanks
@@robertcarte95 So, are pop-up blinds a good option for hog hunting or deer hunting even if they can't be left out? Seems they would be great to hide my movement and contain smell. I will be using a Waldrop chair for the first time this year and don't have a kill suit of any kind yet, just looking for a pro/con comparison of a pop-up vs. a kill suit. Thanks
No monkey harness for me. I guess if you're part Comanche and like pretend you're hanging off a running horse and shooting under the horse's neck, it would certainly be an option for ya. As for me, I like a tree at my back for cover, a seat to sit in that needs no adjustments to it for comfortability, don't want to be peaking around a tree like a squirrel, and shooting from crazy angles. It's tough enough for most people to shoot accurate standing, they certainly don't need to be looking like Tarzan. Best of luck this coming season.
No I have not stopped using my PAC seat. I hunt hogs on foot no waiting. I will do 90% of my deer hunting on public land with my PAC seat. The rest will be on private land with a couple of ladder stands in funnels and my PAC seat. All my pig hunting is on public land

I use the Waldrip Pac-Seat. Got it from David, the originator. I also use it for my 3d archery chair. Thanks for the talk.
Great information as always.
Great tips! You think the same way I do.
Metbow Turkish is a good bow from any kind of stand or enclosure. Very compact with a smooth draw.
Good content. Really enjoy your videos. What color kill suit do you use?

Got a wal drop pax seat and a Ghillie and committed to the ground last season
Had a good amount of heart stopping action even though I didn’t kill one

@@randygresham7303 probably would.
Have you ever used a pop-up blind? I’m thinking of trying it this season with my longbow.
@@CrossbowKelly I have used one that stayed out all year. Killed a few deer from it with a 66" hill bow.
