Thanks for watching! Can you share with your family and friends please? That would be much appreciated! Know that I take the prayers of all followers with me to these holy places!
I like this, I feel like I am a virtual pilgrim, able to perform the Lenten Station Church Itinerary vicariously. And I am again struck by the beauty and richness of this lesser-known church
I like the new style although I don’t find the overall experience radically different . I have enjoyed all the videos. Guido Reni’s painting is my favorite painting of the Crucifixion which I discovered last year on your channel. The painting is remarkable.
I like your videos in general, Jacob. I feel like I’m actually there with you, which is the whole point, right? At 4:39-what is the “Epistle” side of the Church? I’ve never heard that term. At 8:14, right after St Charles Borromeo: is there a dedication for this chapel? It went by quickly and there was no description there. The Crucifix was stunning. I wish there was a longer shot of that. Overall it was a wonderful place to visit. I liked the size and that it wasn’t overwhelming. I’ve loved the tour so far. It’s give me a rich history lesson of the Church. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough for all the work you’ve done. 🙏🏻
The epistle side is the right side of the church. The Epistle traditionally was sung from the Right side of the Altar. And the Gospel was sung from the Left side of the Altar.
8:14 is the chapel of the crucifix. I didn't say anything because I just left it at the obvious that it's the chapel of the Cross. I got only a few seconds as we were processing in during the litany of the saints.
These ones are fake. A lot do this in Rome. And in general, if not electric, then they are oil. Which is permitted in Rome. Some are wax inserts in the tubes of the candles. But it’s just extremely messy and hard to keep lit.
Thanks for the info. I know real wax candles are messy and very expensive. Especially the large ones needed for the high altar. At least the Paschal candle is real. (If it isn’t, please let me continue in my ignorance. Haha)
@@paulschoppe1448 yes, the paschal candle is very different. It burns differently. The altar candles - usually there is the aesthetic aspect. And so we maintain the aesthetic of high candles filled and burning..
A different style of video today! Let me know in the comments how you like it!
Amén 🙏
Beautiful
Thanks Elisabeth! You will have to join me at one of the churches if you come down for Holy Week!
Wow beautiful thanks for posting!

Gorgeous
I don't go nearly as often as I should!

That's the goal! I am happy to take all of you with me virtually! Know that I take all of your prayers too!
Thank you, wonderful! Especially Guido Reni's Crucified Lord ... Wonderful how you return to Him again and again.
Yes! I wanted to give an immersive experience on the video -- detailing how one really experiences (or should) experience the church.
Excellent video!
thank you!

Wonderful! What background music are you using?

Check out yesterday's video too: th-cam.com/video/eDjK9VKINdE/w-d-xo.html
The video is great. The 6 altar candles look fake (electric). Are there any bee’s wax candles in Rome?

The guy at the beginning is genuflecting on the wrong knee-the left one- instead of the right. Oh, well, at least he is genuflecting.
That is quite common.... unfortunately. Even Italian priests doing that.
