    I’m glad you did the range test like this in these harsh conditions. This means I would get a lot more than 51miles since I don’t do any off roading like you. Great advice about riding at top speed. My comfort level for the Tesla is 27-30-31. I’m happy with that. Great work

    Thanks for the safety tips about high speed use. It was great to see that you're no nutter, pushing the max to 48 kmph. 45 is good and quick, honestly 30 is fine by me

    Great review. I like the range it has and I like the idea of cruising at 30km/h. Here ins Australia the government have just legalised 2 wheeled Segway's. It will be a while before they warm to a seriously powerful machine like that. Meanwhile I guess I will just have to ride on my Ninebot One around my farm chasing the kangaroos.

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it certainly gives more options. No getting past it though - it is massive, so for commuters unless there is loads of room on the tube to put it, and the shelf is low to put it on then the Msuper V3 is the one to go for. If you are looking for a lot of riding / trail riding then this is the boy!

    What is the real angle of ascent and descent overcomes the wheel? And, What is the real distance?

  • @rogerunderhill4267
    @rogerunderhill4267 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Power is why I got a V10 over a V8. The ability to do hills, accelerate out of difficult situations and general rideability are where it’s at - not top speed as you rightly say. The V10 is my first wheel and although fairly competent now, I choose to leave the speed limiter on as it’s getting easier and easier to not realise just how fast it can go and I need to be reminded! Great review. I have some rides in mind in western China where the extra range, would indeed be a big advantage. Charging times become an issue in these situations too.

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That 20% beeping thing seems like a major oversight. Still would love to try it. I think it would be a great wheel for us heavier guys. I rode my $230 14" trainer today and it cut out at 1.4 miles! (Lots of hills) It crashed, but I didn't. Lol Thank you for another great review. Hope Gotway is listening.

    Thank you for al your videos, awesome...I am trying to find the right elec unicycle...I need it to commute (using the train in the middle) and also to practice some tricks...so I guess that I need something relatively light, with handle but fast and powerful enough...what would be the best guess...I like the GW ACM but doesn't have the handle and not sure if it is good for tricks.

    have these things improved? cant decide between this and the kingsong 18. i like the bigger wheel on this and the max speed at 30 mph when the KS is like 25 mph. but the ks should be ezer to maneuver, tho this one doesnt seem too bad. the KS also has a seat and 4 speakers on it and charges faster, tho its batt is half of this one. any opinions guys?

  • @MartyBacke
    @MartyBacke 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Fantastic Ian. I've been waiting for someone to provide a more in-depth look at the Monster. I really enjoy trail riding. Can you give me your impression on how it handles in terms of torque. Do you feel that it can climb steep dirt paths as well (or better) as the MSuper?

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Torque is an interesting one, due to the increase in size it requires much more of a committed lean into it to get it going, unlike the 18,16,14,10 inch wheels a simple press down of the toes does NOT cut it here. Committed lean whilst keeping your heels flat down is what is needed to get it rolling at a good speed. Same for steep hills. Its not that its struggling, its that its a 22 inch wheel, and coupled with that is the fact that you are a lot less leverage compared to a smaller wheel due to the size increase.

    • @jdestef
      @jdestef 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      How does this unit compare to the NB One for the purposes of pushing others on bikes? I push my wife a lot with my NB One. Other than rapidly draining the battery, I don't sense that it has a problem with torque. Would this unit come up short in the towing/pushing category due to its size?

      Your legs and the tire is the shock absorber. The journey you are talking about I would recommend the InMotion V8 or the Ninebot ONE E+

      Marco Domingos The law doesn't cover single wheel electric unicycles. This doesn't make them legal, it means there is not ruling on it, and would take a challenge in court. We are not aware of any of our hundreds of customers having any issues with the authorities. Hope this helps!

  • @fazer12779
    @fazer12779 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good review Ian.
    I think gotway should consult with you & get your feedback before releasing new models. The V3 is big enough, but this is massive. I can't see that the even bigger wheel adds to the off road performance apart from just flicking more mud over yourself. The build quality looks ropey as it squeeks & the coating is already peeling. Plus no trolley handle.
    Gotway, why not make a quality machine which is smaller / better looking with a quick charging clip in type removable battery, so you have the option to keep the weight down but also carry a spare if you want to. (sleek cordless drill lithium ion type) Also make the software & app accurate.
    As for the beeping, it doesn't even need to beep only just tilt you back.

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The build quality actually does feel pretty solid, 50 miles in there are no creaks. Trolley handle should be inbuilt really for this weight I feel. Its a really lovely ride I must say, for long journeys its amazing. This is the one I will be doing the 1000 mile charity ride on next year. Thanks for watching!

  • @SolarizeYourLife
    @SolarizeYourLife 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    They might want to add a 90° air pump adapter... love the frost finish, but as you pointed out not adhering very well... definitely needs mud flap, if you add a trolley handle might balance machine out, but then you said back is heavy... they can't possibly make a better version, beyond better firmware...

      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ali, Yes the Msuper V3 is ideal. Monster is a bit to big for moving around people in a busy environment and to heavy for lifting up flights of stairs.
      The speed and wheel size of 22 inch would be wasted for slower inner city riding, the Msuper V3 would be more than enough for you!

    Amazing and helpfull review!!! i am an msuper v3 680wh owner and i must admit that after mine learning period, i love using msuper v3 so much that i drive it almost everyday in the summer... but i didn make a good choice about the battery capacity... :S 680wh is not that great ... i am looking foward to buy new gotway product maybe this monster will be good choice for me... i am not quite sure wich battery i gonna take 2400 or 1600wh price different is alot so .. is it worth the extra cash? oh in the video review you say something if the mainboard fails your peddles will drop down very quicly on this part i am very affraid if i ride on any unicycle that this can happen you know.. :/ i saw people at low speeds crashing because of their mainboard blew up... this is my biggest concern of all these products is there not a safety procedure in order to prevent this.? thanks

    • @Kickersoccer69
      @Kickersoccer69 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope! Thats on all unicycles...failure on batteries or mainboard means---Faceplant!

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and the comments. Board failure is instant crash. BUT one thing I must state, in 2 years of riding and 10,000 of miles, and riding MANY different models, I have not had a board fail from just using it as it should be. Yes there can be failures due to something wrong with the board, but they are very small amounts compared to the number due to miss use / miss understanding of how to treat them. For instance riding at max speed is a real reason for a failure, just because a unicycle is advertised as being able to do 50kmh doesnt mean you SHOULD ;)

    • @stievodevivo4959
      @stievodevivo4959 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      okay so if i drive on flat roads under 30km/u mark then it should be okey right. i am not a speed devil wants to put the machine to the max limits... Gotway monster dont have a handle bar in some places i think a handle bar is neccensary if you walk into a shop or mall... then gotway monster is not that best choice for doing it then i rather prefere the new msuper v3+ model. thanks

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Under 30km you should be ok. Really the only other thing that can cause a failure is penduluming back and forth. Yes trolley handle is needed for inner city / going around the shops for sure. The Msuper V3 820, 1300 or 1600wh fit into this!

Get a few experienced guys to join you and you'll get a following quite quickly if you do lot's of demos and teach 'n' ride events. Your videos and reviews show that you obviously know what you're doing and that you have patience.

    you do the best reviews for these mono cycles. does this unit not have a pull out handle? I would hate to carry this around. Also, I really wish they allow you to turn down the volume on the beeping.

      @CitiWheel 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No handle. You can take out the alarm. It's not that hard to disassemble and reassemble these unicycles.

      Charles, thanks for watching and the comments! It does not have a handle no unfortunately, I think they thought that the extra height meant it wasnt as needed, although you still have to bend to push (at my height anyway).
      Alarm, yeah a real shame the threshold wasnt changed. Its good there is a loud alarm, as its needed, you need to know when the batt is low and also when you hit 80% power output, without this it would be dangerous. They just need to adjust the parameters :)

    Hy Ian!
    I am not completly with you with the 20% warning....
    The main point on the 20% warning is not that you still have a decent range....when you come to the 20% you are that low on voltage, that a Overlean could lead to a cutout, and that stays the same, even on this massive batterie.....Its no difference if you have a 800wh or a 2400wh batterie...as soon ys you reach this low percentage, on both batteries you are on exactly the same voltage!
    Yip...you have more range on the 2400wh, but the dangerous is that a "massive powersurge" like a big hill, big bump or overlean can bring the wheel over the "razors edge"....and cutout...
    Sure! Its annoying beeping, and could/should be presented a bit less nervewrecking.
    What this highspeed of the new GW's belongs....i am really afraid, that the time will come when we will have the first dead person from an highspeed EUC!
    Unfortunatly some people dont understand there is no redundance at all, and/or that every EUC just cut's out when brought over the edge......

      Voltage fluctuation on a larger capacity battery fits in line with its state of charge just like on a smaller one, leaving much more margin if treated in %. 20% is no where near the more 'unstable' low charge state on the 2400wh. The unbalance you see in lower capacity batteries is when their state of charge is imminent to total loss of power, with the 2400wh 20% is no where near this situation, so it needs to be adjusted as such through testing, if there was a compromise it would be to make the firmware restrict the POWER by 20% and at that point also introduce tilt back, and then make the beeping start at 5-10% instead.
      Speed is a problem for sure, people seem to abuse it far to much (those people on the whole are people who have not yet had a big fall!).

    Hmmm ... time to upgrade from previous GWays 16, 18 now ITS 22inches 2400 ! Brilliant !
    Thanks for the info ... Hey Ian ... some irritation here . How would you deal to the ignoramus of the police and subcontrators like G4s telling not to use our unicycle anywhere ? The British Transport Act of 1988 only deals with accident reporting and noncompliance. One policeman said " you must be licence !" and told him - as per telephone conversation with a staff - the description of Electric Unicycle is not covered by DVLA. So where do you go to clear the air here in the UK - while other countries are accepting and loving this devices with open arms and delight. UK is restricting tehnological progress. Anyone here to start a petition to the UK NGO's ? Grey area Hey ?

      Grey area correct. Best stance is to treat it as not ok and be prepared to suffer the consequences. In the last 2 years and 100's of units sold have not had any issues...so far! )
