Oliver and Laurel, the way they're written on the show are simply horrible together. He cheated and lied to her multiple times. He impregnated another woman. He slept with her sister. He dated another woman while supposedly still being in love with Laurel. He dated the same sister he cheated Laurel with after he was reformed man and came back home. He didn't even say goodybe to her when he went off to face his death. He kept telling her that she's not a hero and she's making fool of herself. He didn't acknowledge her will to be BC. AND right back at him. Laurel never understood what it means for him to take away life. She just keeps pushing him to be something he is not. She never understood what he went through on that island. And after he "died" for second time, she shed one tear and went to honor her sister. After he joined League of Assasins her only concern was about Nyssa. Nyssa was taken back to LOA and while rest of the Team Arrow mourned Oliver, Laurel was just thinking about Nyssa. I don't know if you've even seen the last two seasons and hell even season 1 showed all the things that makes Oliver and Laurel terrible for each other. I'm not gonna list you the reasons why is Felicity so good for him because I'm sure you don't care, but just look at 3.09 and what Tatsu said later in the show. The only reason why Oliver survived that fall was because of his will to live and be with Felicity. His last dying thought was of her. Not his sister or his family, and definitely not of Laurel, but of Felicity. He became Green Arrow because he reconciled with himselft that he can be a hero and be a human being, living with the woman of his dreams. She literally told him : "You've become someone else. You've become something else." and he hid. He became the Green Arrow, we all waited for so long. And also if you still think that "Olicity" is ruining the show, check the ratings for last season. All of CW's previous shows dropped by huge amount of viewership except for the Arrow that in fact, increased for 15%. This show is going into its 3rd season and yet it's 2nd most watched show on CW after Flash. Sure, I wasn't big fan of season 3 myself but not because of Oliver and Felicity. Actually, scratch that, yeah, I was. I was exhausted with writers' constant decision to keep them apart and for her to go with Ray Palmer. When you say that you hated s3 just because of Olicity you are literally saying that you hated the season in which Oliver and Felicity were apart and pining for each other. You do realize that the opposite of that is them being happily together? I was exhausted with awfully done BC arc in s3. It took Oliver 3 seasons to become Green Arrow and yet Laurel became BC in two episodes. I'm not saying I wanted her to build this persona for three seasons but they could've at least gave her little bit more time before people on the show started calling her Black Canary. I always wanted her to be a badass like Dinah Lance but I think s3 ruined her for me. She had so much screentime in second part of the season and yet the only scene that didn't make me cringe was her first appearence "I'm the justice you can't run from." I was so excited when I saw that and I was lik "Hell, yes, here's the BC I know." but then it was simply downfall from there.
I think all the women in season 3 were strong in having to show their identities. Felicity did fall in love but she was never "falling" all over Oliver. If anything, she didn't give him an inch. She told him basically I don't do maybes. Oliver "told" her several times he loved her and she still didn't say it back until the very end. Even when he fought Ra's. So I didn't see a whiny Felicity. I saw a woman who had to balance her own personal struggles with the team and love that could not be. She kept Team Arrow together when Oliver was "dead". Being emotional does not equate weakness, it resonates passion and strength. S4 should be amazing.

Hasib Rahman I agree but I do get annoyed that everytime a show is doing a step in the good direction for more diversity, you have those people who say: "why don't we have them being represented, and them, ..." - you can never do it all. It all happens step by step. In general Arrow (and the Flash) is doing good with diversity. We should be happy about that.
I don't wanna sound really annoying though, I love the direction show is going bringing diversity. GREAT. It is natural that when you massively expand the universe, you bring in diverse characters by just looking around in our real life. In reality there are millions of muslim fans that are excited about it and we don't have a strong character that represents them. Ok, it's not a multi-verse thing, but Marvel's Kamala Khan is still in development hell for TV show is partially due to her muslim background.
Hasib Rahman I get that you would like to see them being represented more. But the comics would have to be able to create more characters that represent those cultures and religions. But what I love about these show its that they are not afraid to bringing something new to the table, this is after all their version of the origins of the Green Arrow. For example making Sara the canary, brought a different take on Laurel eventually taking the mantle of BC. Now the White canary I think originally is indian, but we know it'll be Sara since she is a fan favorite. I think they are doing a good job expanding the universe and changing a few things. Maybe what they would do next its take a DC character and make it of another race or something. But its hard to change that when those characters already have a established origin or other qualities. I get your point, but you have to know that their changes sometimes have to be overlooked by DC. But stay positive the TV industry is changing :)

Omg I totally agree, I could not stand Laurel from the beginning, every time she was on screen I just wanted to hit her(little dramatic but yahh lmao) the way she constantly followed Oliver around, the way she acted whenever she was with him, just her entire persona was utterly sickening to me. Than finally she dies, yayy.. again harsh but sorry. When she first came back and tried fooling Oliver that they magically brought her back(which Felicity saw through instantly by the way) and the way Oliver acted Oliver n believed her made me sick. BUT after the whole court thing Oliver going to jail, once Felicity reached out for her help.. her whole attitude was so much better, I actually even started liking her.! Her playing the part of the Black Siren after Quentin died, was an entirely different character and so sooo much better than the actual "Laurel" Katie Cassidy playing the black siren totally redeemed her character ands her acting was great and much much more bearable. The ladies look so beautiful! Loved all their outfits. I'm so excited for more interactions between Laurel,Thea and Felicity because there's a serious lack of female friendship on this show. Also, the new Green Arrow costume looks so badass. I hope they write Oliver as a more humorous, snarky guy like in the comics instead of being broody all the time.

Okay I am gonna say a few things to the comic book fans. I get it, I totally get that you would want Green Arrow and Black Canary together, I do but this pairing is just not good on TV. Oliver cheated numerous times on Laurel when they were together and even with HER LITTLE SISTER. And here come the ''but in the comics they're end-game'' I have never touched an Arrow comic book in my life but what I do know is that the comics are different than the TV-show. Also in the comics book? Laurel divorced Oliver when he needed her the most. Yes really end-game worthy in my eyes. Also at every intro it says ''based on'' Let me tell you ''based on'' means they won't do EVERYTHING that happens in the comics and they can do different things. Also the producers have said since season 1 that they'll make their own show and not the same as the comics. Also saying that Oliver shouldn't get a girlfriend/wife/fiance is rude. So because he is a hero he doesn't deserve love? Like Stephen said ''If you don't care about who Oliver loves and is together with than you don't care about what he does to save the city'' (Or something along those lines) Because the reason he's a hero? Is to keep the people he LOVES save. Also let's all just enjoy season 4 since it seems like it will be lighter and stop complaining for once? Also the no action and more romance is absolute bullshit in my eyes, this season had so much action. More than season 1 or 2. The romance thing? Idk I think season 1/2 had more romance but because it was now more focused on just one girl maybe you see it more? Like in season 1 and 2 Oliver just hoped from one girl to the other I don't think that I would ever like the ship Oliver and Laurel even if they had great chemistry just because of the back-story, he cheated A LOT and even with her LITTLE SISTER. If that was something that Oliver had done to Felicity or if he would ever cheat on her I wouldn't ship them anymore because cheating is disgusting and I can't stand shows that make the guy cheat on the girl and the girl just forgives it like nothing happened. I also think that everyone should stop calling Olicity fan-service because it's getting annoying and pretty much the only thing we hear... Also Stephen knew since filming season 2 that Olicity would happen so they had this planned for a long time. I don't know if you've even seen the last two seasons and hell even season 1 showed all the things that makes Oliver and Laurel terrible for each other. I'm not gonna list you the reasons why is Felicity so good for him because I'm sure you don't care, but just look at 3.09 and what Tatsu said later in the show. The only reason why Oliver survived that fall was because of his will to live and be with Felicity. His last dying thought was of her. Not his sister or his family, and definitely not of Laurel, but of Felicity. He became Green Arrow because he reconciled with himselft that he can be a hero and be a human being, living with the woman of his dreams. She literally told him : "You've become someone else. You've become something else." and he hid. He became the Green Arrow, we all waited for so long.
And also if you still think that "Olicity" is ruining the show, check the ratings for last season. All of CW's previous shows dropped by huge amount of viewership except for the Arrow that in fact, increased for 15%. This show is going into its 3rd season and yet it's 2nd most watched show on CW after Flash. Sure, I wasn't big fan of season 3 myself but not because of Oliver and Felicity. Actually, scratch that, yeah, I was. I was exhausted with writers' constant decision to keep them apart and for her to go with Ray Palmer. When you say that you hated s3 just because of Olicity you are literally saying that you hated the season in which Oliver and Felicity were apart and pining for each other. You do realize that the opposite of that is them being happily together? I was exhausted with awfully done BC arc in s3. It took Oliver 3 seasons to become Green Arrow and yet Laurel became BC in two episodes. I'm not saying I wanted her to build this persona for three seasons but they could've at least gave her little bit more time before people on the show started calling her Black Canary. I always wanted her to be a badass like Dinah Lance but I think s3 ruined her for me. She had so much screentime in second part of the season and yet the only scene that didn't make me cringe was her first appearence "I'm the justice you can't run from." I was so excited when I saw that and I was lik "Hell, yes, here's the BC I know." but then it was simply downfall from there.
Emily is so eloquent and knowledgeable. She is the youngest but she is so sensible she knows her character very well. She is also gorgeous and lovely.

I think all the women in season 3 were strong in having to show their identities. Felicity did fall in love but she was never "falling" all over Oliver. If anything, she didn't give him an inch. She told him basically I don't do maybes. Oliver "told" her several times he loved her and she still didn't say it back until the very end. Even when he fought Ra's. So I didn't see a whiny Felicity. I saw a woman who had to balance her own personal struggles with the team and love that could not be. She kept Team Arrow together when Oliver was "dead". Being emotional does not equate weakness, it resonates passion and strength. S4 should be amazing.

It all happens step by step. In general Arrow (and the Flash) is doing good with diversity. We should be happy about that.
I don't wanna sound really annoying though, I love the direction show is going bringing diversity. GREAT. It is natural that when you massively expand the universe, you bring in diverse characters by just looking around in our real life. In reality there are millions of muslim fans that are excited about it and we don't have a strong character that represents them.
Ok, it's not a multi-verse thing, but Marvel's Kamala Khan is still in development hell for TV show is partially due to her muslim background.
Hasib Rahman I get that you would like to see them being represented more. But the comics would have to be able to create more characters that represent those cultures and religions. But what I love about these show its that they are not afraid to bringing something new to the table, this is after all their version of the origins of the Green Arrow. For example making Sara the canary, brought a different take on Laurel eventually taking the mantle of BC. Now the White canary I think originally is indian, but we know it'll be Sara since she is a fan favorite. I think they are doing a good job expanding the universe and changing a few things. Maybe what they would do next its take a DC character and make it of another race or something. But its hard to change that when those characters already have a established origin or other qualities. I get your point, but you have to know that their changes sometimes have to be overlooked by DC. But stay positive the TV industry is changing :)

Omg I totally agree, I could not stand Laurel from the beginning, every time she was on screen I just wanted to hit her(little dramatic but yahh lmao) the way she constantly followed Oliver around, the way she acted whenever she was with him, just her entire persona was utterly sickening to me. Than finally she dies, yayy.. again harsh but sorry. When she first came back and tried fooling Oliver that they magically brought her back(which Felicity saw through instantly by the way) and the way Oliver acted Oliver n believed her made me sick.
BUT after the whole court thing Oliver going to jail, once Felicity reached out for her help.. her whole attitude was so much better, I actually even started liking her.! Her playing the part of the Black Siren after Quentin died, was an entirely different character and so sooo much better than the actual "Laurel" Katie Cassidy playing the black siren totally redeemed her character ands her acting was great and much much more bearable. Great part on the writers, and amazing job by Katie (;

I was really surprised i saw her in the newer version of nightmare on elm street.

Okay I am gonna say a few things to the comic book fans. I get it, I totally get that you would want Green Arrow and Black Canary together, I do but this pairing is just not good on TV. Oliver cheated numerous times on Laurel when they were together and even with HER LITTLE SISTER. And here come the ''but in the comics they're end-game'' I have never touched an Arrow comic book in my life but what I do know is that the comics are different than the TV-show. Also in the comics book? Laurel divorced Oliver when he needed her the most. Yes really end-game worthy in my eyes. Also at every intro it says ''based on'' Let me tell you ''based on'' means they won't do EVERYTHING that happens in the comics and they can do different things. Also the producers have said since season 1 that they'll make their own show and not the same as the comics. Also saying that Oliver shouldn't get a girlfriend/wife/fiance is rude. So because he is a hero he doesn't deserve love? Like Stephen said ''If you don't care about who Oliver loves and is together with than you don't care about what he does to save the city'' (Or something along those lines) Because the reason he's a hero? Is to keep the people he LOVES save. Also let's all just enjoy season 4 since it seems like it will be lighter and stop complaining for once? Of course they're going to talk about the Olicity because the fans made them win three awards and while maybe you wouldn't care about that? The actors do...
Can I say one more thing? The most important thing in my eyes is that two actors who are a couple on TV have to be comfortable around each other or else you'll see it on screen. Emily and Stephen are comfortable around each other while sometimes I have to cringe at the Laurel/Oliver scenes, I'm not saying Katie/Stephen aren't comfortable around each other but I do think Emily and Stephen are more comfortable around each other and that shows on the screen.

Also a new character that will be gay? I'm all for it. Season 4 already looks more promising than season 3. Want to know something? Many Olicity fans DIDN'T like season 3 that much even if it was a season were Olicity got together. Why? Because Felicity just got used as the very popular and sucky story-line that is called ''romance plot'' she got used for Ray's character and the only episode we saw something of her as a person was episode five of season 3. We hated how Oliver got pushed to the side for other characters.
You know? Chemistry is something that everyone has a different opinion about and I can't see the chemistry between Katie and Stephen, from both sides it looks like they're uncomfortable with each other, that in my opinion happened since season 2.
Also the no action and more romance is absolute bullshit in my eyes, this season had so much action. More than season 1 or 2. The romance thing? Idk I think season 1/2 had more romance but because it was now more focused on just one girl maybe you see it more? Like in season 1 and 2 Oliver just hoped from one girl to the other
I don't think that I would ever like the ship Oliver and Laurel even if they had great chemistry just because of the back-story, he cheated A LOT and even with her LITTLE SISTER. If that was something that Oliver had done to Felicity or if he would ever cheat on her I wouldn't ship them anymore because cheating is disgusting and I can't stand shows that make the guy cheat on the girl and the girl just forgives it like nothing happened.
I also think that everyone should stop calling Olicity fan-service because it's getting annoying and pretty much the only thing we hear... Also Stephen knew since filming season 2 that Olicity would happen so they had this planned for a long time.
And with that I'm going to end this rant and just enjoy the fact that we'll get a HAPPY Oliver Queen, Olicity together and hopefully the writers will write them well. I can't wait to see more about Diggle's and Felicity's story-lines and too see Thea become Speedy. I'm excited for the new characters and pretty much that this season will be lighter than season 3 because I need that.

How did I ever miss this show?! Never heard of it until recently. Came across it on Netflix and have been watching ever since. Sometimes I’ll watch 3-4 episodes at a time. I’m in season 4 now. It can be really addictive! 🏹
Yes! I only found it on Netflix in 2019! So I was late to the Arrow party...but I've watched the entire 8 seasons 4x now, so it's totally amazing. It's NEVER boring, so much action, funny moments, loving characters, I just LOVE IT!!!❤🥰💚🏹💪🔥🤯
I found arrow like a month ago I watch 4-6 episodes a day mostly because I'm in summer break don't know what to do nowadays willa and John look like actual father and daughter
