Eva Cassidy was incredible such a great talent it's such a shame she died so young. Some other Eva Cassidy songs I can recommend are Fields Of Gold, Time After Time, Danny Boy, autumn leaves, Songbird.
that was sad.. she could have sang more beautiful songs for us to listen and enjoy.. maybe God wanted someone to sing with all the Angels in heaven .. I will be reacting soon to all her other songs..
Don't forget Wonderful World. That was the last song Eva sang. And everyone was crying. Beautiful but so sad.
If you want to shed a tear. Listen to her sing Danny Boy. I believe she died within a year of this recording from cancer. She said this was not her best because she had a cold.She was basically unknown unitl she died. A radio station happened to play this in England. They received thousands of calls. From there she took off. Selling millions of albums. But of course she never new this.
You should check out her version of autumn leaves. It's amazingly sad and beautiful

There are 2 artists for me that have the artistry to take a classic and reinvent it completely, the new version becoming the new reference.

Very differently but both have this soothing, full, warm but crystal clear voice that you can connect to Karen Carpenter and Barbra Streisand indeed.
Eva has totally reinterpreted some classics: Over the Rainbow, but also Fields of Gold, Autumn Leaves, Time after Time, Bridge over Troubled Water, SongBird, …
Since she was rediscovered thru a BBC show, a few years after her death, she became a reference on these. And for instance Angelina Jordan sang Fields of Golds using the version created by Eva.
As for Lara, she is Dimash’s absolute idol due to her emotions conveying skills and puts her footprint on almost all covers she is making: Je suis malade, Caruso, Perdere l’Amore, Love by Grace, Calling You,…
But Lara is also an amazing songwriter in 4 languages and you probsbly know one of the song she wrote at least, as it was covered by the greatests from your country. The song is called Broken Vow and was covered by Sarah Geronimo, Regine Velasquez, Julie Anne San Jose, Morissette Amon, Almira (4th Impact), …

Rofer, It's a shame you lost the stream this morning, but thank you for doing a reaction to Eva Cassidy. I told you that in my opinion, this was the best version of Over the Rainbow ever recorded, and to have tissues ready. This was recorded less than a year before she died. You were trying to describe her voice, and I have described it as a crystal clear deep lake where you can see right down to the bottom. It's the best imagery I could come up with. It's not just the voice but the emotion and passion, and you can see it on her face.
Following this reaction, I mentioned that coincidentally, both Angelina Jordan and Eva Cassidy did independent recordings of Sting's Fields of Gold at different times of course. A super fan did a mashup about a year ago of both of them singing Fields of Gold in a virtual duet! That is the one you should react to if you choose. Thanks for all you do. Peace and love.

Big Angie Fans mash up of Eva and Angelina singing Sting's "Fields of Gold" is quite stunning if you have not listened to it. Two golden voices for the Ages together in one video. Cheers, stay well. Her voice is extraordinary. If you want to hear a different side of Eva, try Blues In The Night. She had such a range, and sang in different styles, making each song all her own.
If I could suggest: If you're going to say more than a word or two, consider pausing the video. That way you're not talking over the it, and neither you nor the listener will miss parts of the song. Just a suggestion. ❤

Dude, you're a good reactor but showing us your forearms while she was singing, isn't good. I don't like excessive pausing but you would've done better to pause befoe making so many comments. Instead, you talked over her. She didn't deserve that.
