- I vowed to record a flare up and not 'hide it' or make it 'pretty', Instead of making a video AFTER a flare up died down, I recorded myself DURING a flare up - it ain't pretty but it's the truth!! If you have RA and are having a flare up my heart goes out to you: this is a ramble because my thoughts get cloudy when I'm flared, but I hope it helps to know you are not alone in your illness. My compassion, love, and sympathy goes out to you - you are a TROOPER!!!

i'm very awake suffering with a flare up to my left arm, I'm in sooo much pain that I cannot sleep so decided to tune into youtube as a reminder that i'm not the only sufferer (diagnoised rheumatoid arthritis 2005). I so get you with the attitude as people often don't understand the extent of the pain and the many symptoms. On appearance I am quite well built and generally speaking reasonably active, yet little do people know. At times I blame myself for the condition, I tell myself this is punishment for the things i've done wrong, often consider myself fat and I hate the ugly nodules on my finger joints . I have researched this condition a great deal and I know I should make more effort to follow a healthy controlled diet and exercise more often. I know these factors help because during the fitness fads I've had in the past I have been pretty much pain free, however self-discipline is tough when yu live alone. Thank you for being so open about how you feel, I enjoyed your video-you're great!
I was diagnosed at Age 2 with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. So you are definitely not being punished, unless you can believe an innocent baby girl deserves that. please read my comment below.

So after this time in LA I got so ill my friends basically had to pack up my LIFE and PUT me on the wheelchair to my plane…I tried I really tried to make a difference for us Rheumatics…I’ve been ‘recovering’since then…i HAVE to get this acct back!

I have had more flare ups than I can remember during 41years. But I´m stable now on Methotrexate and Enbrel. I hope you´ll get better medicin and fewer flare ups. They are like a vacation in hell. Love from Sweden!

It is actually very sad because the year I was diagnosed I became so so so depressed. Actually that is a lie I have been depressed most of my life........... I wouldn't talk to anybody and I would never bring anyone inside my mother's house. I was born at 24 weeks early and everyone I knew either had mental problems like ADHD or Schizophrenia.

I'm going through this right now, its HELL!!! Have dealt with this since I was 7 ,37 now...and it gets worse ever time. Good luck, let's hope they find a cure or at least some thing to give us some relife

God bless you, I get so frustrated because this disease not only seems to attack my joints, but also throws me into neg. thinking! thanks for addressing this in ur video, I am currently having a flare in both knees, and stuck in bed, but need to get up to pee, and I know once I start to attempt to get up, I start to feel like I have tourettes, between crying and cussing, it does get daunting! u definitely rock! smiles tcs
