Great part one and 2. I wished you could have shown the process for removing that bracket for the rear valve cover. I have a 96 LeSabre that I’m doing now.
Good video! I'm getting ready to do the rear bank gasket on my '98 Intrigue today. You're pretty spot on about GM...they did the front bank (only) on a recall, but the rear is leaking so bad and smoking that it's a fire waiting to happen.
Had mine catch a plug wire on fire, going up 7% grade in the smokies. The recall doesnt fix the rear ones. The front one never gave me an issue. 2000 gtp l67.
whats up guy. Im having trouble finding any information on the oil pressure relief valve. Just yesterday i started gushing oil, come to find that my relief valve was split in two.. a top and a bottom. what would cause this and is replacement something a home mechanics should undertake?
What year make and model are you working on? Generally speaking the relief valve or pressure regulator are a spring and spool valve assembly. On most engines the oil isn't filter at this point yet so if enough metal gets in the valve assembly can freeze up a valve, springs can break. Once I know what exactly your working on I can answer if you can do this repair at home. /K&K
@@KNKRNR Its a 99 Oldsmobile 88. 3.8l V6. Its just the little cap that is broken. not the actual relief valve. I assume that the valve itself punches the end of the cap with every cold start and that over time just caused a weakening of the steel and eventually its separation. what Im having trouble finding is any info on this caps removal and installation. i assume based on images on the auto parts websites that is just a slip fit. I also assume that based on the fact that its sold out on nearly all the sites that its a relatively common issue.
Thank you for the video.👍👍Hi from Puerto Rico.. thanks 👍 again for the video.

Thanks a bunch, dude. Really helpful, hope your endeavors are fruitful.
Just inherited a 95/94 (build date) and my scanner doesn’t work, is there an OBD1 scanner you recommend?
