If you are young I recommend just sticking to pads or cardboard tampon applicators ( if you are trying to be eco friendly).

I just started using a diva cup and it’s been a few months and I’m already loving it. Yes the beginning and learning how to use it is scary and difficult it takes a while to learn how to get it in and still to this day I have to give myself atleast 20 good mins incase I can’t get it to open up but when I got it... girl I can go all day at work and not worry I can still 💩 and don’t have to take it out it’s amazing and I don’t ever have to waste money again for another 10 yearssss

I have been using a menstural cup for 4 years now. Best 4 years of my life. No worries of my periods for half the day. No cramps. Nothing. I actually look forward to my periods.

UPDATE: it is ALMOST leak proof. But it’s nothing a panty liner can’t handle. I think it was a user error…I didn’t tuck it enough behind my pelvic bone. FOR ME: I have a lot of pressure during days 1 & 2 so I had to take it out at night (used a reusable pad), and it was fine. ‘Self-dumped’ every time I needed to empty the disc. LOVE IT 😍
MY FIRST 2 DAYS ARE HEAVY 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🤬! 😩 I’ve had accidents with tampons, pads, cups, cloth pads! Girrrrl. I’ve had to double up and change every 2-3 hrs. I’m gonna give this a try, but I won’t hold my breath. As for changing in public, cups are MESSY! 🙄 especially for a heavy flow, and they do leak. I’ve always had a plastic water bottle filled, baby(flushable) wipes and paper towel with me when I change the cups. ITS A MESS.

I'm a little late to the game, but for anyone wondering, Nixit actually has individually wrapped wipes for on-the-go cleaning so that you can clean the disk in a public bathroom without having to leave the stall. She seems pretty knowledgeable, but then she said, "you can pee through it." I HOPE she knows pee doesn't actually go through it... I think she knows, but a surprising amount of people think you pee out of the same place.
It sounds like she thinks we pee through our vaginas. Otherwise I’m not sure why she’d say “pee through it”. Yikes
Can we just thank Natalie for posting this and sharing her experiences with us so we can be more comfortable? 💖
And by the way, you might have had to pee a lot because you were nervous about the workout, or it could be that you just drank tons of water. :)
When you’re going into a public restroom with a menstural cup or menstuarl disk, bring a water bottle or something to rinse it out with so you don’t have to go out of your stall
Regarding changing it in a public restroom - one of the best things about a disc (vs a cup), is that you can partially empty it without taking it all the way out. As long as you haven’t hit the 12 hour mark yet, you can just reach in with a finger and ‘untuck’ the rim of the disc from behind your pubic bone, squeeze with your pelvic floor muscles (yes, you’ll get blood all over your fingers), and then tuck it back behind your pubic bone.
And if you have wet wipes with you, you can clean off your fingers in the stall that way - if not, TP will probably get your fingers clean enough that you can make it to the sink.

Hormone pills dont work.
I got pcos. I want another remedy for it but my doctors say is normal.
My mom bled for 2 years straight. Same problem. Her period was hella irregular. She tried so many treatments and then she was contemplating surgery, but then it just stopped. She didn't get her period for 8 months after. Then her period became regular. She became deathly anaemic and had to take so many iron supplements.

Ladies, I am a heavy flower, and I experience period poops. Also, I would likero share some tmi In here. I get severe period cramps, I get nauseous and almost wanna faint, but it's like those period cramps, just kind of loosen up my stool. If I'm experiencing constipation before my period, it gets cured during my period.

i think that for public restrooms you can just dump out the blood in the toilet and reinsert but ig if u want to clean it u could use toilet paper or bring a plastic water bottle into the stall and rinse above the toilet, even though it lasts 4hrs I feel like some people with really heavy flows might have to clean it and then reinsert :)
40 bucks is a little pricey considering that’s a piece of plastic, i understand they have to manufacture it so it’s safe to put “up there” but 40 dollars seems extreme.
Yeah but if it works it will be cheaper than buying pads/tampons every month
