Great video I got mine for Christmas and I’m having a hell of a time learning I don’t even know how to record in 8k I will be looking for that on your channel. I’m still confused even how to select the right option to record even thanks
@ please do! I’m following you… if you can go through all the functions on the camera itself would be amazing… also how to delete a video on the camera etc… thanks
great video, !!!! can you use the same video and cut it to point into different directions, lets say i am scuba diving and i want to point me and then a shark ,,, do we have that flexibility,,, or do we need to process the first tracking point, and then import again the video and do the second tracking point ?
I often cut it with the various camera angles and then export from Insta360 Studio. I then do more editing within Final Cut Pro 11. Alternatively, you could do one export per camera angle from Insta360 Studio. It’s just a matter of what fits your video editing workflow the best.
I have a question. On the mobile app INSTA 360, you can edit a video easily by starting the recording then mooving the direction then stoping the recording. On INSTA360 studio on my computer, I don't find the recording button. There is the deep track but I don't want to use it because on the video we are two people running so I need to frame manually to have both people on the frame. What I want to do basically is to start the recording, then mooving the view with my mouse then stoping recording. Do you have a solution for that please?
Thank you for the video. I imported all X4 files (i had only shot a few short 4K and 5.7 videos) into the insta360 studio after installing it on my laptop. I had two issues: 1.When i played the videos, the video flow was inconsistent doing breaks all the time, so it could not run smoothly. 2. When i tried to export one ,it took 10minutes for the export progress to reach 5% I am using a 5-year old windows 11 laptop which is not bad for today's standards. Not sure what the problem is to be honest. One thing is that i do not have more than 10G free storage on the laptop drive at the moment, but i do not think it has to do with it.
This is pretty CPU-intensive. I’d suggest checking out an Apple M2 or more current MacBook Air or Mac Mini. They are priced affordably but perform extremely well. I currently use a MacBook Pro M3 Pro but previous used a MacBook Air M2 and it performed well with Insta360 edits and exports too!
Thank you! This video was very helpful in figuring out how to mount and use the Insta360 Studio macOS App to edit video on my Mac, with my X3 camera! (I ended up ordering an external disk to store my video on since the video files are much larger (~5GB-13GB on the Insta360 versus GoPro ~4GB)
1:10- i cant find the desk mode, where is it? when i plug my camera to the laptop, the laptop cant find the camera (its charching, but not showing the media or the disk in "my computer" list. help pleaase
Thx for the quick tour as I am considering a 360-deg X4 (vs Hero 12 Black) camera due to resolution being 8K. I've been a GoPro Hero 1-12 fan since version the film units back in 1999... Also, beautiful views from your home...
Thanks and my pleasure. I love the Insta360 X4 and will never go back to GoPro. With that said, I loved GoPro HERO2 through HERO8 but HERO9 turned me away from GoPro for life.
I bought Hero 11 Black to use on an Italian self-driving vacation. Dandy thing kept shutting off (over heating) so I returned such & stuck with my 7 Black. Seems newer generations aren’t always better. My DJI original Mavic flew easier & better than my new 3 Classic albeit the Hasselblad optics is better. Too much govt intervention ruined ease of use.
Total Newbie here. I like the idea of investing in the Insta 360. I go on long motorcycle rides and would like to have this camera on for moto vlogging. But there might be times that I just want to have it on and use it like a dash cam. Can you tune this camera down for a lower quality that runs longer to cover a 3 hour drive? I realize it depends on the battery life and the quality (4K vs ?). If I were to use a lower quality just to have dash cam footage, what could I expect for total recording time before my Microdisk fills up? For example, how much recording time would I have on a 256 Gig card? I understand that this won't be exact, but someone who does this for a living like you, I thought you might have some idea. Thanks for the help and GREAT video. I originally thought that I would have to use some sort of blue tooth switch attached to my bike and move a lens around while riding. Like I said - total newbie to all of this. Good to know that the video editor is easy to use and so robust.
Thanks for stopping by and great questions! Insta360 X4 sports excellent battery life. If you use single-lens mode and a lesser resolution, you may get more recording time per battery. I wish I had a good estimate to share but try one out, you likely won’t be disappointed. I made the switch from GoPro and will never look back!
Hey, thanks for the info. The deep tracking is superb. But I have a question: whilst you are walking around on occasion I can see where each lens ‘stitches’ together as it warped. Is there a method for smoothing this over?
