There's a reason why there are so many chicken ads. Chimaek is a cultural institution in Korea. It stands for chicken+beer (maekju), and there are restaurants that serve nothing but chicken and beer all over the place. At one point, Korea was ranked to have the number one rated fried chicken in the world (not sure if the record still holds), but yeah, Korea is serious about that chicken. It IS amazingly crunchy even after sauced, whilst still juicy and succulent on the inside, comes from the double frying and thin layer of seasoned flour as opposed to a thicker bready layer of batter. Anyone who visits Korea needs, NEEDS, to try chimaek at least once to have truly experienced it.
