The story about the great Rod Carew made me burst into tears!! What a beautiful story!! Your story telling is a freaking gift!!! ❤❤
it's an uplifting heartwarming story.
This dude isn't telling the story. He's stealing all this content from Mr Ballen. The dude who owns this channel has no talent or originality to do his own stuff so he steals everyone else's content.
This isn’t MrBallens channel?
@lindaphillips5768 nope. Mr Ballens channell is called Mr Ballen!
@@TheRevolutionAwaits I thought this was another of his many channels, thank you for enlightening me. I’m true to MrBallen!!
The story about Conrad, the football player, hit a bit too close to home for me.On July 31,2011,I suffered a burst brain aneurysm.I had no symptoms until I felt a sensation like fireworks explode in the back of my head. Then I felt liquid pour down the inside of my back and arms.Lucky for me,this happened on a Saturday and my family were all off from work.My husband called one of his three sisters.I was rushed by ambulance to a hospital far from where I lived.A neurosurgeon was called in and I had emergency surgery performed. When I woke up,I was in ICU.I was able to speak but could not move or see very well.I was in that hospital for over a month. When I was finally transferred to Neurology,I began PT and OT.Five hours a day learning how to walk and perform simple tasks. We only got one day off,on Sunday.I was never able to sleep, for I was awakened every two hours by nurses taking my vital signs and giving me a heparin shot in my stomach.Today I suffer from short term memory loss and poor eyesight.Developing cataracts last year did not help much, either.I had surgery but they grew back. Now I need more surgery, hopefully in a few months.I do special exercises every day to try to keep in shape.I will turn 70 next year.I always wonder why I did not die on that day in2011.It seems like everyone else I hear about dies from a bleeding stroke, including my late Mom,in 1989.Go figure.
Your determination to recover is an inspiration. Every best wish and hope for your continuing recovery ❤
Thank you so very much, dear.I really appreciate it.
I'm so glad your husband was there and got you help asap, and that a great neurosurgeon was able to perform emergency surgery to save your life! I don't think many people survive brain aneurysms, and getting medical help asap is key to survival.
My (ex) husband would have told me to just take an aspirin.
About 40 years ago, in my early 20s, my older brother used to have a New Years Eve party every year. He would have everyone write down a goal to achieve in the new year on a piece of paper, fold it in half and sign our name on the outside, then all the pieces of paper were sealed in a manilla envelope to be opened the next New Year's Eve.
Next year's party came around and my brother opened the envelope and started reading our goals from last year. We laughed at how many wanted to lose weight but actually gained a few pounds. Then he got to our friend Steve's goal that he wrote down. We stopped laughing and sadness filled the room. Steve was a dear friend who had suddenly died from an aneurysm a couple months ago. Steve was one of the funniest, and sweetest guys I've ever met so we were deeply saddened, but curious to hear what he wrote. The room went silent as my brother read Steve's goal for the past year:
"My goal is to not die this year" is what he wrote.
Steve was a young healthy guy in his 20s, and as you know, aneurysm doesn't give warnings, so he couldn't have known that a blood vessel in his brain would burst months after he wrote that.
That was the last time we did that New Year's tradition.

Speaking truth is not "Victim blaming." A culture has grown which removes personal responsibility and this has played a huge role in people doing dumb, neglectful and even at times illegal things. Tigers eat people - don't get out with the tigers. Who needs a sign for that.
🔥🔥Thank the Lord some people still understand this! The truth is heavily censored and hated on these days. It's insanity!!
Victim-blaming you're not a millennial or you even borderline gen z freaking victim-blaming I'm bringing the air are blaming put the phone down and pick up a book learn math on paper going to need it one day
😮
You guys are blaming her for her mother/grandmothers death .
@@jxjinko6954absolutely. It is ABSOLUTELY her fault that she was attacked and her mother died
I don't think the tiger incident resulted in "victim blaming". That's a clear case of "the person who is to blame blaming". Imagine suing a park that's trying to preserve the existence of one of the most magnificent creatures we have left because you did something so stupid that you got mauled and got one of your own family members killed.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Konrad Reuland during his time with the Ravens. He was the sweetest, most humble human being I've ever met. I was devastated when I heard he passed. I never heard that part of his story! The tears!
“Victim blaming” is telling a woman she shouldn’t dress a certain way if she didn’t want to be sa’d, not telling a woman she should have known better than to get out of her car with roaming Siberian tigers. It’s awful what happened to her mother or MIL, but what did she expect?
That diver that survived 20 minutes without oxygen is legit. I saw a video of a kayaker getting flipped upside down in ice cold river water. She was forced against a bridge pylon upside down and she wasnt strong enough to push against the current and right herself. She was stuck there for OVER AN HOUR. They finally recovered her body......except it wasnt a body. She LIVED and had only VERY slight brain damage from lack of oxygen. It doesnt even affect her day to day life she says her memory just isnt as sharp and thats about it. No physical damage at all.
Is this really true? 20 minutes I can reluctantly buy, but an hour doesn't seem possible.
The ice cold water was a major contributing factor and not the only documented instance of surviving extended oxygen deprivation.
100%
As a former lifeguard we were taught about this ; It’s a phenomenon, the cold water slows all brain activity, therefore breathing etc slows , so you can survive without oxygen for a much longer period than the usual 7 minutes ( when brain damage occurs)
I can't believe the woman who went out of her way to get herself mauled by a tiger would give such an ignorant response about criticism she earned and deserved.
Wow! Rod Carew! A name I remember well when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. Also brings back the all to familiar voice of vin sculy. We had season tickets and went to lots of late night dodger games back then and listened to other teams on the radio outside on hot summer nights. Great memories!
I am so sick and tired of attempted murder charges having such short penalties
But if you steal from the government they'll put you away for longer than murderers and pedophiles.
I know! But in other countries they're lower in general. But also, Susan ROCKS!
They should get longer sentences for being too stupid, they can't even do that properly what chance do they stand in society. There's no room in society for that kinda stupid.....🤦♂️

I had to stop listening last night. I was so focused on the stories, that I just couldn't fall asleep. Love the channel love the podcasts keep it up.
@MattSumGuy I think it's still owned / ran by mr ballen
Try modern marvels, that usually does it for me, lol
@MattSumGuy I think a lot of youtubers do that for tax reasons and I doubt mr ballen would allow someone to be running ads on his content but hey, I'm just an idiot on the internet/
And then she wants to dilly dally walk around the car talk to her husband you could’ve done that in the car… I’m sorry but some people are stupid
hen people love their jobs, u can tell. It's not just work, it's passion. That's why Mr Ballen's vids are superb. tq for all your vids.

There are some instances in life when “victim blaming” is completely appropriate & one of those instances would be *WHEN YOU EXIT YOUR CAR DURING A TIGER SAFARI PARK!!!* To then sue the park bc of your own stupidity, damaging that park financially like that, putting the future of the park, the owners livelihood & the animals that live there makes her torment completely valid. SHE DID THIS!!! SHE IS TO BLAME & HER ACTIONS CAUSED ONE LIFE & UNTOLD DAMAGES TO OTHER PEOPLE & THE ANIMALS INVOLVED….you reap what you sow….
What on earth did the "like" button do to Mr. Ballen to make him want to punish him/her so. LOL I love these attacks though. Mr Ballen is a super story teller. I listen all the time.
The one about the scuba diver (Dave, Chris, & Duncan) was such a good one. I’m so used to your horrific endings that I was wondering whether I should stop listening. This one was so good that I actually cried at the end when you said the 3 divers just laughed and hugged.
With all do respect, I find it funny that the woman attacked by the tiger wasn't car sick until she got in the park. She gets out and instead of upchucking, she starts conversating. Something smells fishy or foolish
I don't think you should profit from being stupid.
Don't eat anything living or uncooked. Wow
I totally agree! Plus she knew the rules and blatantly disregarded them but successfully sued them? BS!
Me too! Lol.
Apparently you know little about car sickness. And conversating???? That's not even a word. Conversation is but until you get a bit more knowledgeable you shouldn't make snap judgments about something you kn[w little about nor have you given it any thought whatsoever.
I don’t care how many signs are posted, common sense should kick and tell an adult that tigers will eat you like a sandwich if you get out of your car. 3 grown adults in that car and none of them thought that she should stay in the car.
Also, you gotta puke so you go over to the other side of the car? Sounds like a good idea. Lol
Thank you for putting these stories together 🤗
Mr ballen it will be 😢 sad when your gone I listen to you when i go to sleep I understand that you have to take care of your family stay strong your a good man GOD BLESS you and yours
Tbh, Marvin is kinda a legend for what he did.
The story about Joseph and Niagara Falls is just tragic. I mean, it’s tragic for all 3 of those men, and the many others that I’m sure have lost their lives there throughout history.
But Joseph, the guy manages to hold onto that slick log all night. It had to take an enormous amount of will and strength to not be swept away while, with every passing second, the water tried relentlessly to do just that. But I’m sure that, despite managing to hold on, he probably thought ‘This is it. I’m not making it out of this.’ And what makes it especially tragic is that after that, after likely considering and possibly accepting that he wasn’t going to make it, he is found and probably felt huge relief, ‘They found me. They’re going to save me.’, only for the attempt.
Of course I don’t know what his actual thought process was at any time, but thinking that it was anything along those lines is just especially saddening to me. There’s just something so cruel and exceedingly unfair about someone finding themselves in a situation like that, for that person to accept and come to terms with the fact they’re not going to survive, but to then be given hope, relief and happiness at the realization, ‘This is _not_ it for me. It’s going to be ok’, only to have the relief and happiness that had taken the place of that acceptance stripped away from them.
Super appreciative of the no intro no outro💚
Law suits after being warned and/or it being common sense is so frustrating! Stupidity and purposely not following instructions/warnings should not be rewarded by being given millions of dollars. 🤦
She sued for 2 million yuan. What triggers me is she got 1.2million in the end because the park was being nice.
The official investigation already cleared the park and they didn't need to pay anything!
14:26 awwwh I hadn’t heard the baseball story before, that was a really amazing coincidence and so, well, heartwarming 🥰
Love the hour story time.
The dive bells connected to the ship bell, the ship bell connected to ship bone, the ship bones connected to the life 🛥 boat, let’s bring the whole thing down. 😂
My long runs are so much more enjoyable now that I have discovered mrballens content ❤️❤️❤️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Same but mine are more like brisk walks lol
In the first story, her appearance didn’t frighten them?! Instead of wrestling with him, they didn’t stop her?! That was heartbreaking that he passed 😢! RIP 🙏🏾
Finally, some happy ending story with these saturation divers!!🙏
“Victim blaming” is totally justified if the victim acts like a moron.
I can completely empathise with Marvins frustration and indignation. R.I.P. Hero.
It’s good the lady survived the tiger attack, but I feel she was wrong to sue the zoo because she broke the one rule and almost lost her life, the old lady did lose her life but because she too got out the car… some people think they are the exception to the rules… you feeling car sick on a safari so you get out the car? I’m sorry but that’s stupid, you should have paper bags to breath into if you are a chronic car sick person, not put everyone at risk for your comfort
She didn’t make them get out of the car
@@jxjinko6954 a tiger took her away what are they supposed to do they arent just going to leave her to die
Yeah! It's survival of the fittest! That's why the older one never got back
"do I have multiple sclerosis?"
"No, you only have the one sclerosis."
That should not be funny 😂😮
The story about the tiger and the woman seems odd. She didn’t even throw up and she didn’t need to get all the way out of the car even if she did need to blow chunks. But she still didn’t even blow chunks.
Then they sued the park after they knew the precautions
Scary to watch at 5am lol love this channel since the day he started ❤️💯 he also keep these stories alive.
getting out of your car in a lion/tiger park is a very silly thing to do.
The stupid women who was supposedly car sick put her whole family in danger, also with animal parks im surprised that anyone going to these places is not made to sign paper work stating that they are not responsible for peoples stupidity especially when you have been told the rules, I cant beleive she was successful in suing them. When it was obviously her fault. Shame !! People like this woman spoil it for everyone 🙄
Jusco case in Japan. Mr A. How could the statue of limitations apply when it seems clear he was murdered?
I guess in Japan their laws are different in regards to statutes and what not.
Nice to have a happy ending once in a while, John. Thanks for that SatDive story.

This is my favorite hour composite so far! A couple stories reminded me of the Guinness book of dummies. Theres some zingers in there.
47:15 Well actually.. Franz did end up throwing a dummy off of the Eiffel Tower.. he threw himself off. More of a dummy than the actual mannequin lol
Had me BAWLING at the Rod Carew story 😢❤
How sad the crew could have changed course after the captain went to take a nap.
The summit fever ,reminds me of when we ride dirt bikes,we have something we refer to as faith gear fever.... whiskey throttle!
Imagine ruining your life by eating a slug.
Ffs. I mean, enormous respect to Kurt for having the composure and the will to do what was necessary to save his life, to survive. However, that being said, machinery with moving parts that create pinch points and the like have safety cages for a reason.
There is no such thing as “well, I have enough experience with it and understand it well it enough that I don’t need it anymore.” On the other hand, “I have enough experience to know better than to remove it.” is a thing, and it should’ve been Kurt’s thing. Glad he’s alive though. Lot of other people wouldn’t be, likely me among them.
I'm a huge sufferer of travel sickness, but come on. You take medication, there is many to choose from. However sick i feel, I'm not foolish enough to get out of a car when Tigers are roaming around a few feet from me.
Oh no. She doesn't take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY for being stupid enough to not get out of her car? SHE'S responsible for the death of Grandma.
As a welder myself I must say that Marvin the killdozer guy is my hero.. shame on that town for pushing him to that limit ..
We had a place here in Australia, called African Lion Safari, with Lions & Tigers & Bears, drive thru. We went there so often, but knew not to open the door or windows.
The woman that claimed she get motion sickness....it happens Everytime shes in a moving vehicle...mezacylone OR zofren...always at hand no need to leave vehicle...my youngun suffers from that to this day he's now 22....he has zofren on him at all times since he was ,4 yes old...
Oh my god I was on the edge of my seat with that el faro story. Jesus.
Anyone who blames animals for their own lack of common sense should be given nothing
On the episode with Niagara falls why didn't they do a helicopter rescue? Wouldn't that have been the most logical thing to do!
As a petty ass bitch myself, Marvin with the kill dozer is the hero I needed

Yes, that's right, it's the zoo's fault for not being clearer about not putting yourself in harm's way of MAN-EATING TIGERS. Crying 'victim blaming' is ridiculous.
A woman thinks her needs are more important than a lion enclosure
34:40 yeah gee thanks Casey.. a whole $250 for damages... that's gonna cover a whole lot of jack shit
I remember the first time I found you, I was aware I found gold, I could have fallen in love with you under different circumstances, congratulations on you and family, your talent, All your blessings,
The man who stole the plane (saying at the end he was broken, so sad), just goes to show how you can never, ever really know what goes on in another person's mind. As you said Mr Ballen, nobody who knew him surmised he would do what he did. Couldn't help (ironically) thinking of MH 370 disappearing in far east airways. Nobody knew what was going on in the mind of the pilot, or perhaps, whoever was responsible.
Call me cold but giving a heart to someone in their 70s seems kind of… I don’t want to say wasteful, but, unfair. How much longer is someone in their 70s going to live anyway? What about all the younger people waiting for a heart who got passed over and maybe died because the heart they could’ve got went to someone who’ll in all likelihood be dead within 10 years anyway?
I wondered about this too. I wonder if he was chosen due to his celebrity, not as the next candidate on the list
Yaaaaay Chris 💃🏽
I'm a huge fan, really kinda new listening but looking for any suggestions on good ones to listen to?
I love the one "what i saw in my bedroom", it's the #1 of these numbered editions. And all the Missing 411's.

What is that thing hovering over that white building?
Rampage: Town screwed Marvin. Marvin flattened Town! 👍None of my AP rds. could have penitrated his Armour.
Mike's friend told him: you need your wife April like a hole in the head. He wouldn't listen but later found out how true this was. The radiologist and the police figured she was a big source of headaches, and ear bleeds, and frankly, wanted him out of her life with a bang!
The whole story for the killdozer guy Marvin is wild. Tbh kinda feel for the dude.
I can't stand when people ignore the rules, act stupid and then cry victim and try to sue over it. I'm sure most of the criticism she received was over the lawsuit and putting blame on the park, instead of herself. If you get out and walk around the car during a safari with tigers lurking around, you truly aren't very bright. Her stupidity got the granda killed!
Proud comes before a fall
It’s pride … not proud , proud is past tense, pride present tense ; for example I was proud of the job I did , I take great pride in my job . Sorry but hopefully you learned something not learn something LOL 😆
I feel like the combination of cold and pressure saved him. The concentration of gases in your body at those depths probably helped. This also makes me feel worse for the guys who's dive bell got lost down there are died.
The ship story.........this is why you should listen to women. We're not nagging or panicking, we know what's coming and we are advising.

That guy from the second story is a certified bad@$$
😏... I do agree something is very fishy about that situation at the tiger Park. If your car sick and all of a sudden you got to get out of the car why walk all the way around??
April was very emotional, so that’s while I think she was having “that time” and she was just pissed at him. And we don’t know why.
I wonder if they checked that guy's blood system for a poison after they realized that woman had a death mask on? And if he had enemies or anything that would cause him to be killed, and the death mask was a killers tale
She didn’t need 2 mill reasons to make another bad decision. She’s the type to go outer space without a helmet die & come back & ask for money
