Something tells me the oversight of this issue is not as simple as reports are reporting it to be. For one, the Chandler family attempted to sue Michael a second time in 1995 for speaking on his case in an interview after it was agreed that none of the parties would speak on each other. That case was tossed out by the judge, because he never mentioned their names. Then the Chandler family went on to write a book about the allegations against the terms, but found a loophole to release it through the uncle of the family who was not a part of the settlement terms(only the father, mother, child, and step father were a part of the terms). The book is called “all the glitters” Also years ago there was discussions if there was an expiration date of 25 years on the term that no one could discuss the case. So maybe that is where the mishandling occurred if it did. I highly doubt the estate would just not know this term existed all together considering Michael was hit with a $60 million lawsuit that got tossed out before on this exact term of the settlement.
Keep in mind that the journalist who broke the story about the reshoots, Matthew Belloni, has a clear grudge and one-sided vendetta with MJ. Just read the article and see for yourself. He's incredibly unfair and in my opinion, not very credible. Last year he tried to leak the script and paint it as a whitewashing without actually giving us proof of that claim. He also singlehandedly successfully campaigned against an MJ tribute in the 2022 AMAs, which got cancelled because of his efforts. This is personal for him and he seemingly doesn't care about the truth.
If the movie begins and ends with the child molestation situation, now it has me wondering if this script is about his life or his child molestation accusations. His life is more than just that. The Jackson 5, Motown, Fighting for control of his music, Thriller, The victory tour, The family controversy, His rise as the greatest artist of all time, His MTV domination, His decline in sales, His child molestation controversy, His fight with his record company, His children, His marriage, And his return before his death. So why is the child molestation the center of the story? Its only a part of his career.
It seems like they were going for what the movie "Oppenheimer" did. Where the films opens/begins with the main character being in a hearing or courtroom setting, telling "his" life story through flashbacks and sequences all leading up to the present situation and what caused him to be in there. Honestly, that could still work where they would be able to include everything you listed...but only if it is written and directed in the proper and honorable way. But you're definitely right, if it's not meant to be the center of the story, that's not the type of movie his fans would want to have.
I understand, but His skin condition or even his drug addiction is just as important; especially since his death came from his addiction. His death is a better way to start a movie and explain how he got to that point. His child molestation case is just a piece of the story leading to his death, it does not define Michael.
am i the only one who feels as though the media attention for this is very odd? like, i remember when the elvis biopic was coming out in 2022 and not hearing anything from critics or journalists about how the film will depict elvis’ 10 yr age gap with his wife, interacting and whatnot when she was just 14 years of age. and there were very few critiques on the film not really touching on the ages of both elvis and priscilla. and i get it, the accusations against michael jackson have dogged a great portion of his life, career, and legacy, but still where is the sense of, idk, fairness? perhaps?
The media has always hated MJ. So many celebrities have had accusations against them but the media obsesses over MJ and loves to drag his name through the mud.
The reason the claims dogged jackson is because the 'news' and other media wouldn't let it be, raising it at every opportunity, even when it's not relevant. Remember, jackson was tried and acquitted. It's widely known about Elvis, David Bowie and many others (who haven't been cleared in a court of law) yet their issues are almost universally ignored. Double standards indeed

So I wonder how much they are planning to cover the chandler era, something that’s surely unavoidable

I’ve been waiting to see something substantial from this project forever, especially with them saying Mike’s nephew impersonates him so well! I guess we gotta wait a little bit longer😔 On the one hand, I’m happy the estate didn’t saying “no we’re not gonna put anything about THAT in here”- they tried to keep it real. On the other hand, if you couldn’t legally put anything about it in here, and you somehow “forget” that you could’t, that’s a huge thing to forget lol I guess it’s cool that they’re paying for the revisions instead of leaving it up to the studio. I just wonder now if the projects gonna completely gloss over those aspects or if they’ll find another way of keeping things “authentic”🤔
The out of court settlement with the chandler family clearly states Mj while alive couldnt talk about the boy or promote his innocence or mention the chandlers in any book or film. So it clearly shows this film was gonna be about mj innocence. Lol
@nikunjdixit1175 what can of question is that why wouldn't the studio or director would come out they may not address problem but would come out and say especially if it for a big characters it's there money being mess with
Im not shocked. Not once did I hear any production problems when they made the movies for Elvis, Elton John, or Johnny cash. But I’ll leave it at that. It’s 2025. History speaks for itself.
False. It’s already been confirmed and stated by the producers and Domingo himself, that the movie goes over his entire life. This article said the movie ends in 93’? 😂
It's tough to believe the report due to Colman saying the film goes into the 00's and the report says it ends in 93'. Reshoots are normal and I believe this guy is trying to sabotage and put a spin on something that's already normal for most films.
Makes the assumption that that’s even possible within the confines of the agreement. I would think that the agreement would include using their names, as well as their likeness or details about their story as well.
I heard it’s false…but if it were true I would be so pissed at the Estate because it’s not the First time they done shady lazy stuff to profit off Michael, remember the Michael álbum were they used an imitator just to release an album after his death??? and fans picked up on that,I wish his kids were in charge not Branca never trusted him
The Lily James and Sebastian Tommy and Pam Anderson miniseries was on Hulu not HBO.... I definitely can't wait to see this movie but it was a mistake upon the Michael Jackson estate. They should have read the script more clearly instead of being in a rush.
This story just doesn't make any sense to me for a number of reasons. Why would they need to avoid mentioning Jordan Chandler when Chandler has denied that Michael Jackson ever did anything inappropriate with even well into his adult life. Something about this story just isn't adding up this? Was that apart of their civil settlement? But why would that be a part of the civil settlement? And if there is a settlement does that mean any MJ biopic can't mentioned Chandler even if it's true? It's going to be hard to make it seem the things said about the Chandler's case is false when it's public record. There is literally an audio recording of Chandler's father where he sounds completely unhinged and says he doesn't even care about helping his son. That's not Hollywood bullsh*t, that actually happened.
They should've just leave this shit alone and not make a biopic about MJ. The guy had a musicial career, allegations were NOT all about his life. Okay, mention it, mention some details but then move the fuck on, on to his career. Like what is this, again a project about his allegations? Cause that's what it looks like. Either the Jackson family desperately wants to prove his innocence or someone in the project/behind it wants to tear down MJ again. I already heard that the film starts off with 1993 allegations, like what? What kind of a start is that? They gonna fuck this up on scales beyond. The film will probably come out next year and i can almost guarantee that the delays is to do with allegations. Film supposedly comes out in October, yet there is not a single teaser out, trailer or an official poster for the film, no marketing at all. Something is very off
The new release date is on my 40th birthday. My birthday present will be not seeing this movie. No interest in seeing a sympathetic biopic of an alleged paedophile.

9:52 does that really matter? If it's a minor thing that's not going to end up in the rewrite does it really matter in the grand scheme things? And it's going to be a role where a young pre-adolescent is going to be accusing someone of malicious actions that's not going to make it in the final movie. So does it really matter? This kid actor can probably find luck somewhere else who knows. Why does or why should it interest anybody? Being a kid actor isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Look at the original voice of Peter Pan.

@John Campea you should do more research about this before making a video, I know you’re a guy who likes to have all the facts before making an statement.
We don't need to. The source has talked crap before and is unreliable and this particular claim makes no sense at all. Also, the news has spoken about the deal countless times over decades. There is literally zero chance that the claim is true. Reshoots are normal but the 'source' is creating drama just to create negativity.

MJ supporters are flat Earthers, so does that mean the jury that found him not guilty of 14 counts are flat Earthers as well? It seems rather convenient that anyone who doesn't agree with you are flat Earthers despite you knowing nothing about the case yourself.
@@Dc0sby You think that the reason people think MJ is innocent? @@utubechannel8670 In the age of social media, many people believe that if their favorite artist has millions of followers, their artist is a global superstar (a term thrown around often by the media nowadays), even though those millions of followers can be bought or some are bots. If artists sell stadiums, people believe they are global superstars, even though selling stadiums (or arenas) today isn't as difficult as it was in the 1980s or 1990s because of social media, sophisticated marketing teams, and concert promoters who can create buzz (or, I would say an illusion). Additionally, some shady artists sell albums that include free concert tickets, but those free tickets still count as sold tickets just to boost the number of total attendees at their concerts. In the absence of watchdogs (present in the 1980s and 1990s to ensure transparency), artists and their teams can do whatever they can nowadays to boost album sales or the number of total attendees at their concerts if they have money. As a result of this practice, the hyperbolic popularity of these artists does not align with their actual popularity. Perhaps that's what happened to filmmakers who decided to make a film about Robbie Williams thinking that he was really popular. Apparently he has 15 number one albums and has surpassed the Beatles' records, but I've never heard of him before. I guarantee that no one knows him outside of English speaking countries. Nonetheless, there are genuine international megastars: Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Elvis, and perhaps Eminem. The rest of the artists are popular regionally in terms of international popularity. As far as international recognition goes, no one has surpassed Michael Jackson (the Beatles are well recognized internationally, but not in Africa). That’s why I assume Michael’s biopic will exceed $600 million, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the world responds to him since he passed away 15 years ago.

RIP Michael Jackson ❤
The out of court settlement with the chandler family clearly states Mj while alive couldnt talk about the boy or promote his innocence or mention the chandlers in any book or film.
So it clearly shows this film was gonna be about mj innocence. Lol
Not buying this article at all. I’m sure everyone did what they were supposed to
Why would this article come out then?
@Slicedude2004 okay if it was real why wouldn't the studio or director come out and say something about it
@@Slicedude2004 because its propaganda from Dan Reeds team.
@@AntonioJones-2003 Why would they?
@nikunjdixit1175 what can of question is that why wouldn't the studio or director would come out they may not address problem but would come out and say especially if it for a big characters it's there money being mess with
Im not shocked. Not once did I hear any production problems when they made the movies for Elvis, Elton John, or Johnny cash. But I’ll leave it at that. It’s 2025. History speaks for itself.
False. It’s already been confirmed and stated by the producers and Domingo himself, that the movie goes over his entire life. This article said the movie ends in 93’? 😂
Do you really think the estate would do a mistake like that?? John Branca is one of the best lawyers there is. This is BS
It's tough to believe the report due to Colman saying the film goes into the 00's and the report says it ends in 93'. Reshoots are normal and I believe this guy is trying to sabotage and put a spin on something that's already normal for most films.
Jan Levison: What did I say about saying “Yuppers”?
This is the reason why it was delayed to Oct in the first place. And here I was thinking it was a marketing strategy for better sales lol
I think research goes a long way before you even make a video
But no, you doing this for the clicks without even questioning the source. Ok I guess...
So we just believe everything we see on the internet now ? Lol I guess because it’s Michael Jackson.
This is false
An easy fix would’ve been to change the accuser’s names in the movie.
Makes the assumption that that’s even possible within the confines of the agreement. I would think that the agreement would include using their names, as well as their likeness or details about their story as well.
@ It depends on how detailed the agreement was.
I heard it’s false…but if it were true I would be so pissed at the Estate because it’s not the First time they done shady lazy stuff to profit off Michael, remember the Michael álbum were they used an imitator just to release an album after his death??? and fans picked up on that,I wish his kids were in charge not Branca never trusted him
This is the most baffling how something can happen movie story in a while
They should just change the names and ADR the whole thing into a semi aceptable shape, madam web style
@@plasmaticnoises3523 they’re reading a false article. They just want people to think MJs lawyers are morrons. Because they are against the state.
Whenever it does release it will break records the same way his albums did early in his career
If Woody would’ve went to the police, this would’ve never happened!!
This is so beyond from the truth John 🤣🤣… the source is from a known frauds , MJ fans know this man☠️ .. if u don’t know who Matthew is by now I feel sorry for u . October 3 , the biggest movie of all time will be RELEASED 🙂↔️
9:31 The father(Evan Chandler) has been dead since 2009, anyway...
Seems like an April Fool's joke, not sure about it.
For everyone who doesn’t know yet. The person who made this article is part of the team to tear down Michael Jackson’s legacy. He is also friend of Dan Reed (LN doc 💩) brace yourself because there’s more lies coming until the biopic is in theaters.
“Lies run sprints, but the TRUTH runs marathons” -Michael Jackson
@John Campea you should do more research about this before making a video, I know you’re a guy who likes to have all the facts before making an statement.
Someone should factcheck the source.
We don't need to. The source has talked crap before and is unreliable and this particular claim makes no sense at all. The lawyer is runs the estate also created the deal the estate supposedly 'forgot'about. The guy had also spoken purely about it since being in charge. Also, the news has spoken about the deal countless times over decades. There is literally zero chance that the claim is true. Reshoots are normal but the 'source' is creating drama just to create negativity.
Oh no
Could be true.. Something is definitely going on. Antoine F deleted all his posts on instagram.
I still don't think this makes 1B. Lionsgate has never had a 1B film before. I think it clocks at 900M but still this is crazy
This movie is 100% making a billion, it’s MJ
Bruh it’s Michael Jackson he is the most famous person since Jesus
Do you even know who Michael is?
Dude has a worldwide fanbase
It could easily make over 2 billion his audience worldwide is insane especially in places like Asia, India and Pakistan alone could make it surpass a Billion
Billion dollar movie!!! I feel the opposite. They should have never done the movie as MJ’s life is problematic now and there is no way around the accusations. So what do they show, were they false or were they true. No one knows however given the seriousness you just can’t ignore them nor can they say he was innocent.
Oh bloody hell... 🤦
Yes movies make lot money
Mean l wait longer
This isn’t true. Stop believing everything you hear.
It’s false
Sad
I guess it's not coming out til 2026 or 2027 now. 😔
No it still coming out this year
Huh
It will be delayed indefinitely
Michael Jackson fans remind me of flat earthers.
The man said he slept with random kids, sure he said nothing happened but would believe me or anything normal person that said that?
MJ supporters are flat Earthers, so does that mean the jury that found him not guilty of 14 counts are flat Earthers as well? It seems rather convenient that anyone who doesn't agree with you are flat Earthers despite you knowing nothing about the case yourself.
@@Dc0sby You think that the reason people think MJ is innocent? Not the multiple inconsistent stories, not the fact that MJ house was raided, and they found nothing, not the multiple witnesses testimony that fell apart during cross examination, not evidence that proves the claims against MJ were impossible, not the fact one of victim father claimed their child confessed that MJ r*ped him but told him this when his child was under the influence of DRUGS.
No, we're just talking MJ word for it, none of these things matter.
How so?
@ He doesn't know because he doesn't know the facts of case.
Could be the first Predator movie to earn a billion dollars (it may or may not also count as an Alien movie).
Yawn, research isn't your strong point is it 😂
@@markknight339 MJ fans coping incredibly hard in these comments
Fake news
Jacko lested little boys… FACT. Just learn to separate the persona and the art from the terrible man he was.
Yawn chasing the dream, look it up your actually learn something, thank me later
Stating "fact" doesn't make it so, even when it's in upper case. The fact is nobody with any knowledge of the claims believes them and jackson was acquitted.
What is John’s obsession with this movie and thinking it will be a box office hit? This movie will tank.
I think it’s pretty much impossible to tank but I also don’t think it goes above $600 million
@@LostUtopiaFilms it could go above $600 million given that Michael is still popular internationally.
Easily surpass 2 billion look up his audience in Asia, especially India, Pakistan, Japan, China etc he will surpass a billion just in those markets let alone every other country it's released in
It won't tank. I still can't believe anybody thought $100 million+ movie about Robbie Williams was a good idea!! 😂
Fake
I was a kid when the Michael Jackson scandals were coming out in the 2000s. I have already lost interest in Michael Jackson. I knew this movie existed, but I had no intentions of seeing it now I wanna go see it to figure out how botched this will be :-)
