Here are some of the issues I have encountered in my RestedXP usage from 15-55, having also used questie alongside: - very minimal step information. For some Q's you need to look up in wowhead comments to figure them out (honey ripple is hidden in a cave but you wouldn't know from Questie or RXP) - sometimes steps were missing (accepeting a Q, doing a Q or turning a Q in) - addon doesn't remember the step before log off - asks to hearth back to a location that wasn't asked for to set as home before Especially the second point makes the usage very frustrating, seeing some Q's turning grey because you hoped the addon would turn them in later. The guide is certainly fast in theory but the qualitative mistakes make you sometimes run back and forth more often than necessary.

All the guides are free online anyway. Personally only tried restedxp and a few times it pushes to kill mobs or go to areas 3/4 levels above you which isn't great.
I love zygor. Got it a few months ago and really started using it fully to level a paladin at level 1-20 and 40- to now. I’m 51 with 3 days 19 hours played. And honestly probably half of that is sitting around because of kid aggro.
Restedxp sends you to an innkeeper that you don't have the rep to interact with at 61 or 62. Seems like a rushed/copy pasted pserver guide or something?
I personally use WoW-Pro leveling guide and been doing so since WOTLK and I love it. It's free and it's fast. Granted it's not a speedleveling addon, but it does make you level faster then the average player and definitely faster than normal leveling.
I bought Zygor back in 2012 and even when logging into my old account, it says I should have access to Vanilla, TBC, WotLK and Cata. Still, it doesn't work ingame, so I ask them in the customor support chat and the dude tells me ''you have access to the expansion all the way to Cata, but only on Retail, they're not available for Classic''. So eventhough I bought the expansion guide back in the day, I don't have access to the guide on TBC classic. They expect me to pay 10 bucks a month now. Yeah I don't think so.
makes sense, classic is a different than retail even tho same expansion, but I guess 10 bucks is alot for you. I recommend stop playing the game and save money for food

It's the exact same thing, except that the addon itself has to be updated for the new client, which is definetly not worth paying 10 bucks a month for. I bought the guides for multiple expansions back in the day and they already got 50 bucks from me, but they expect me to now pay 10 bucks forever in order to use that conent? 10 bucks a month for an addon client update? There is no way a sane person would defend this kind of bullshit. You're either a weirdo or you work with Zygor. I used zygor 60-70 and it felt slow and obvious, it was basically just an arrow taking me through every zone 100% each, staying in HFP until almost 63, not some specialized leveling route
They always update their guides for every class differently and use #1 speedrun data for it. It is the fastest route thats known out there. If it's the most fun or not you need to deside... But thats not the job of a !speed!-leveling Addon. Its for getting 70 with the fastest route possible not the most creative and fun one. It was the smoothest 1-70 I ever had, I cant share your experience at all, specially TBC leveling, if you want to go autopilot and watch movies on your second monitor it's the best addon IMO.

@@ChichiNaka Mby they took reputation into account back in the day. Idk the old routes. But the new ones are not making all the time the nearest quest, they for example not let you do the "Make them listen quest" after the quest with the Blood and the cauldron even if the quest is next to it, because they take in factor that you need to go there for the Shadow elementals later and these tricks/shortcuts are in every zone. Meaby you also were slower because it was the first character you leveled in BC or the class just dont levels that fast then others idk I dont have infos which class you played and how you leveled.
Zygor i guess is nice because you get all the guides together and you dont need to worry about buying another. Also all the gold and profession guides as well. So for 10 dollars a month you get what would cost you 60-80 dollars on Rested. At the end it just depends on whats a better value, if you can drop that money at once then rested is more economical.
I tried Zygorg for 2 months and I found it subpar. I just use questie, pick up all the quests, and then figure out my on route. Same difference and it's free.

I love Dugi. It has leveling, exploration, achievements, events, dailies, dungeons, professions, and a junk seller. I have also gotten some of the expansions free as sort of a loyalty program.
zygor used to have the same payment model as restedxp but then they took that away for a subscription model... I lost the addon and the expansions of it i already paid for and had to pay a subscription to it...
I’ve been leveling up my first char in wotlk classic using ding80 and it’s been really good, only which it had an actual add on but for free it works great !
Zygor's is an absolutely amazing addon, no doubt. That said, if you are just looking to get to level 70 by questing - the best questing experience will be found in Flymolo's Outland Leveling Guide for Guidelime. Yeah I'm biased. I'm also correct. =)
@MrGM I’ve been a devoted Lime Guides user since Classic, and I can say it has worked beautifully, however I kept hearing about Zygor threw adds and what threw me off was the sub fee as I am prone to put the game down for extended periods of time Zygors Sub was a turn off, then I heard about restedxp and was like yea ok that’s more in line with what I’d want I’m glad to know they have made a free 1-30 so I intend to give it a shot so I can see what it’s all about before I commit to making a purchase

The monthly paymen of zygor automatically makes me have no interest becouse you are not leveling 1 to 60 in classic in one month(regular people) so you are gonna be paying 20$ oe even 30$ and then you dont have it for an alt, thats the same price as restedxp and you will have it almost "forever".
As a zygor user, not having profession guides is a no no for me...i was wondering about restedxp but you know i prefer to pay montlhy because it just takes like a week or so to level up a character for a new expansion, plus all the rest of the guides like title guides, faction guides...
Well I've used Zygor since MoP, every expansion since, and hell have I given them money... That said, I loved the addon for years and years, and when they did a classic version I jumped on it to get a version of it and I loved it. Quit a few months into classic, and started the first week of TBC. When I started back up in TBC classic, I downloaded the Zygor for it of course. But it is so lackluster compared to every other expansion out there. Every retail expansion, and hell, even classic. Normally, they give you an optimized route for what zone to do and when to do it. When you finish a zone, it automatically recommends the next you should do. It was there in classic. It isn't that way in TBC. And even if it had a recommended leveling route for the zones, it still had all the zones. In TBC, it has some of the classic zones, not even all of them. Just to be fair, the sole reason I clicked on this video (even though I've watched MrGM for years and years) was because of my dissatisfaction with Zygor in TBC Classic specifically. It is so much worse than it has ever been. And yes, it has been bad at different points, and better at others, but now it is just terrible compared to what it used to be.
You know that they optimized the tbc leveling with heroic reputation in mind? So they grind every single reputation from quests possible and that leads to almost questing every zone to the end. Tbc is also a quite streamline expansion in terms of leveling. There are no 5 zones for every level bracket like in classic. I liked it, cant share your experience it was smooth for me and I never had a problem.
As someone who uses Azeroth Autopilot in retail and loves it. The AAP adaptation for Classic TBC broke around Astranaar so I had to switch and started looking around for alternate addon's and I gotta say I dunno where all the love for Zygor's comes from. I downloaded it around level 30 and have used it to level 34 and it's trash, it's had me pick up so many singular quests and there's so much just "Grind to level X" like bro how are people okay with paying for this? It's just so unoptimized and feels like it wastes so much time. Too much travelling and flying, too much go to this zone, turn in this quest and spend 15 minutes travelling for 1500 XP.
Because you A: didn't start it from level 1 and B: zygor moves you around and has you pick up quest you will need at a later time. It will move you in and out of the barrens 4 times before you are done. Have you ever tried to finish the barrens by just following blizzards chains? The quests out pace your levels gained too quickly. To avoid this, zygor moves you in and out of zones as needed for your level.

i feel like zygor is still better over all. you have access to everything you want to do for questing and professions.. rested XP is behind several pay walls... if zygor could batch more quests together for area's.. i think zygor would be over the top.

I am a fast player, I just want a good route avoiding trap quest with no sequel. I tried RestedXP lvl 24 drood in duskwood. It made me run around for 30 min, to a tower in Elwyn forest, back to East duskwood, to finally take a grey quest West Duskwood which required to be lvl 26... Worst experience ever. The route didn't make any sense.
I've used Zygor for years. It doesn't always have the most xp efficient routes, but it definitely takes you on the easiest path, especially for inexperienced players. I began playing WoW right before WotLK so my Classic lvling knowledge was nonexistent. Zygor got me through easy and quick. (I promise I don't work for Zygor.)
Honest question. Why would anybody on earth pay money for addons like that. The game is not hard nor it requires you to have it. Unless you shit money, it seems like a waste of money.

It's got professions, gold making, mount farming, battle pet collecting, achievement hunting, daily quests, world quests, treasures, rares, it even monitors the AH and updated item tooltips to show sale prices.

Sounds more like an addon is playing the game for you rather than you being able to enjoy it, idk. @@DerSchalker97 the reason is usually because you've either leveled characters so many times that you're tired of seeing that content and want to veg out to a guide, or you're someone who doesn't value the mid game leveling experience and largely wants to rush to the end-game content like raiding or arena.

We used addons back then, you may just have been new. Theres even new retail players that don't use add ons yet. Just a matter of how comfortable you are with that type of stuff when you start playing.

Curious if zygor has the UC teleport skip. Ive played wow since vanilla and never knew about it until i used restedxp.

You can just pay for zygor once, and resub when you need a critical update, which in classic isn't too often.

@@DerSchalker97 the reason is usually because you've either leveled characters so many times that you're tired of seeing that content and want to veg out to a guide, or you're someone who doesn't value the mid game leveling experience and largely wants to rush to the end-game content like raiding or arena.

RestedXP is free and open source ; this is the better anyway imo. And for the gold TSM and woweco are more than enough.
RestedXP is free from 1-30 and 58-60. The rest of the guides are like $20-50 to purchase.

If you are playing classic BC, why use add ons. Most of players did not have add ons, like when I played in the original BC I had no add ons

We used addons back then, you may just have been new. Theres even new retail players that don't use add ons yet. Just a matter of how comfortable you are with that type of stuff when you start playing.
I used addons, many other used addons during TBC.... even in Vanilla Classic? :)
I think I used more addons back then than I do now.
