I like the idea of adding the twigs and leaves in the planting hole. Makes sense. :) I used to garden in clay in Oregon. Now I have super sandy soil in California. There can be a learning curve, but one can learn to grow in any type of soil. Loving the content!

All the best fertilisers are made from chicken poop. You can save a lot of money by having chicken and making your own fertiliser.
