Had to watch this video again. Check out the last fly by right after the idling roll and power hits a take off. Look at the suspension on that bike light as the torque hits the rear tire... Love it... And by the time the camera catches up the bike is long gone!!!
I agree. When I first heard it idling I thought it sounded like a tractor as well. But during the fly bys it sounded like a 6v92 Detroit. Awesome! I'm a country boy and love the way it sounds either way. Lol. I've seen these bikes in person but have never had the pleasure of hearing one run. Nice. Nice. Nice. :-)
Best sound compilation of a Triumph Rocket 3. Please make more... please. I especially like the far away sounds. I heard one when I was in St.Louis and loved it.

I have the same lean decel backfire but I don't find it annoying ( dealer tors tune). Maybe some day a set of Jardines K&n's and ecu tune or even a carpenter racing upgrade. Plenty of fun the way it is for now though.
I recently purchased a Triumph 3 Rocket Classic with the Catalytic converter already removed and of course getting plenty of backfire on deceleration. With your TORs exhaust, you state Catbox delete, does this mean you removed the Catalytic Converter or you have installed something else? BTW.. sounds awesome.
I forgot to mention the highlight of this video at 2:23....watch the bike "get up" on the suspension just as GearGuy rolls on the throttle...awesome! That's torque at work! ;-)

I cannot believe you have actually rode a Rocket III. there's only one bike in this class that is as fast or actually slightly faster than the Rocket 3. And that is the V Max, Diavel is not a Cruiser. Valkyrie not a Cruiser and I have embarrassed two of them already. And please don't even start with the V Rod. I can take a V Rod out with my nearly stock Triumph Thunderbird.
Compared to what? Any 600cc+ sport bikes produced in the last 25 years Most 650+ Sport tourers produced in the last 10 years In it's class though, it's unbeatable. And that straight 3 sounds goddamn glorious. And i wouldn't even consider the V-max a cruiser, to be honest.
@@Slowster-S - No, I dont see them listed anymore. I think they were discontinued. This bike a is a 2009. Specifically its the "TORS" Triumph Off Road Exhaust and there is a catbox delete as well.

TORs stands for Triumph Off Road pipes, so they are available direct from your dealer.

an inline 3 has the same 120° crank as a straight six and V12, so it sounds like a little warplane when doing a flyby.

I meant to mention I found a set of TOR pipes on a mis-titled Craigslist ad; they sound great on my bike but a cat delete would really help.
It's the triumph cat delete pipe! Glad you found a set and enjoy them.
I do wish that was true :( decided to buy these pipes after seeing this video a few times. Called the dealer to order and they can't get them anymore.
