- Sonic Frontiers Update 2 is here! One of the new features include the Action Chain Challenges. These are missions where you try to get as many points as possible by doing custom combos! S ranking every one unlocks the Spin Dash.

This was done on Hard Mode, a trick to complete these fast would be to set it on Easy. Apparently the point requirements are lower and enemies can be defeated quicker.
My method is usually start with collecting the orbs first to get up to at least X32. Then you can hit springs, dash panels or basically any other objects for points. Enemies will give the most at X256.
S ranking all Action Challenges rewards you with the Spin Dash. :)

im in extreme and this is EXTREMELY difficult because i can’t change the difficulty. so i appreciate this videos.
I S ranked all of them on easy and didn't get anything, do i have to make a new profile or something?

lemme tell you man these give all those little floating platforms and sequences and bosses you can interact with that much more meaning. making a score attack challenge for the open zone is genius and it's honestly something i hope they refine and include in future games.
also never once got tired of this song for all the time i spent grinding these. the way the song starts at different parts of itself each time you do one of these so it's just a little bit different every attempt is so cool, and that guitar is just lovely

@Mousoro how I’m on chaos island!!
They are not that difficult, my estrategy is always the same and i almost always get an S rank:
Fill your multiplyer by x256. Then find regular one shot enemies, those can get you 2 rank max, if you can't find a large sky platforming section, also boost pads give you TONS of points.
Btw the game keeps a record of how many action challenges you've done in each island and you'll know that you've done all of them in an island when the icon for the challenges appears golden in the switch island menu

3 hours with a maxed out sonic is sll you need. You can also quick restart at any time.

I found Chaos Island the easiest to S rank all the challenges, cuz the island is filled to the brim with parkour courses to grind points.

Y’all need to help me, I’m using my save file with the game beaten and I am on the latest update with the birthday update dlc. I load into Kronos to start the challenge and there is no green timer icon anywhere please help. Xbox Series X/S Version
Does any one know what to do here because no enemies are spawning in challenge 1-01 for some reason and I can only get C rank
You could try waiting for a Starfall event to occur which would respawn all killed enemies.

Is there a way to change from extreme mode to easy? Im on extreme mode and the challenges are so difficult.
No. You can’t switch difficulties when you’re on extreme mode. It tells you that when you unlock it.

How can I get S-Rank for 1-01 if I’m on hard mode and I’ve already beaten all the nearest spawning enemies? I’m stuck so please help.
I think you'll have to get out the island and then comeback after a while, they'll eventually respawn.

I’m barely getting a C rank on the first one what am I doing wrong?
Don't just go for the orbs. it's best to go after enemies (some bosses too like tower), springs, boost pads, or lightdashing rings. This will keep your combo meter high and when you puck up the rhythm you'll have an S rank well before time runs out.
Set the difficulty to easy
Doing trick combos in the air helps too. That's how I'm S ranking quick.

Overtime is gonna have a blast with the spin dash ability, I already know it!
The biggest problem is that I haven't maxed out Sonic yet.

It took me about 3 hours to realize you could just turn it on easy, so I was suffering on hard mode 😭
Also, did you know there’s a secret costume in the game? It’s called the *Frontier Elite* costume. I was wondering if anyone has seen it or knows how to unlock it, but it’s pretty interesting
My guess is that you have to either 100% everything or complete New Game + to get it.
I would say you could make a video on it, but literally nobody knows how to unlock it, I doubt anyone even has it 😅
EDIT: Someone got the outfit after 100% completing everything, just as I thought. I just gives Sonic a crown, but I guess it’s a nice little reward.
If it's 100% everything that daaaang. I got most stuff but all memory tokens would be a real pain.
