    Fascinating to hear from the other side. It would be even more amazing if you can get a Cuban vet to come speak.

    Salute to you. Todays enemy is tomorrow's friend. Now, with the war over,its interesting to hear from someone i once fought against. Would love to visit you. Like you said,we were not enemies, but eponants like a chess set,moved by politicians.

    Thanks Igor, amazing to hear from both sides and really adds depth to this channel. Maybe some more interviews like this from other so called "enemies" would be great and an important archive for the future to hear from them as well, no matter who they were to us.

    It amazes me no end , People go out to fight wars against people they don't know or even hate , only to discover after all the heartache and tragedy that the people they were fighting were no different to themselves . They all are human beings with desires and fears and ambitions like everyone else . At the end we ask ourselves what that was all about.

    Hi. Do you have any interviews with members of the South African Irish Regiment?

    • @LegacyConversations
      @LegacyConversations  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not that I recall. Some NSM might mention the unit fleetingly but no one spoke in detail about the Regiment. They are welcome here. Koos

    I must admit this one was too difficult to watch! I know it was a long time ago and I know this man was just doing what he was ordered to do.... but for me it brought back horrible memories of lost friends and relatives! ❤‍🩹

    • @andrewwhitaker7313

      I think it’s good to hear both sides of the story, after all we were also only doing what we were ordered to.
