To everyone having trouble flying the Su-57, I just reinstalled the mod (deleted that folder out of my mods, downloaded the latest version, then copied it back over) and it works again. There are some added niceties to the mod too. I've heard some people report that didn't work for them, but it did for me.
Just like the others, i, too, cannot spawn in cockpit, rather there's an AI in it instead, and i can just watch. My mods show in the main menu, and i *could* start a mission, or whatever, just cannot spawn in cockpit. I have FC3. Sigh.
I'm not sure what you're saying. The mod save location never really changes for basic mods. Or are you talking about the mod download location? I don't keep up with where other people share their files and a google search should get you what you need if that's the issue. If there's some other specific thing I can help with I'll do my best.
I think I have found a fix to those who the aircraft does not show up in the menu at all: for me, I needed to have Flaming Cliffs 3, and what you have to do is copy and paste the bin folder from FC3 into the SU-57 folder. For steam it is like this: From: :\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\bin To::\Users\\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft\SU-57 For standalone it is like this: From: Users\\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\bin To: :\Users\\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft\SU-57 Hope this helps, it helped me with all my mods :) Also big thanks to you 311Gryphon for introducing me to this mod, this is my favorite jet since like 2016 :)
That seems to happen sometimes and I'm not sure why. You might be able to try reinstalling that mod to see if it behaves differently, and double check all your installation paths. But aside from that I'm not sure what to do.
I have the A 4 and the F 22 mods player mods. Both work great. I just downloaded this one and it doesn't give me a choice of for any weapons. It flies fine. Probably based on the Mig 29. The F 22 is just an F 15 in F 22 clothes. I think this is just a Mig 29 in SU 57 Clothes with a little something added. Also with a less detailed Skin not that the F 22 is much better. At least the F 22 does carry its weapons internally. This SU 57 with pylons and weapons under the wings and Fuse don't add to stealth at all. Surely this is not how the real SU 57 carries all its weapons. Gonna take another look to see if I can make something work if not it has to go.
¨Doesnt work for me. It says "Authorization is valid for 3d 0h 0m The following DLCs are not authorized and will be disabled"" and it disables all my custom mods before even entering the game...HELP?
Might try signing out and back in if you can...if that fails just double check your internet connection (but if you can put comments up on TH-cam that shouldn't be an issue). If still no luck you may have to submit a support ticket with ED.
This seems to be happening a lot. I downloaded the latest version of the mod and installed it and that fixed the problem for me. I've been told by some people that hasn't worked for them but according to the mod developers it should. Give that a try and see if it works.

I wouldn't have thought it a very big deal but I have another TH-cam channel where a couple of fairly unhinged individuals started doxing me and it took a lot to get all that shut down. Since then I tend to be overly cautious about what information I let slip. I'm growing less concerned the older I get, but I still try to hide some things.
@@thebotman_1037 Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with this mod in particular. I've installed several other mods and they all work. Some of them do use the FC3 avionics and flight models but I have some mods that shouldn't use those that work so I really don't know how to fix this one. It did work then after on of the DCS updates a couple months ago it didn't.

You don't want to move your DCS folder over to Saved Games I don't think. Do you not already have a DCS folder inside Saved Games? I've never run DCS from Steam so I'm not sure how they have that set up.
@@koenbenschop4982 From everything I'm reading there should be a DCS folder in Saved Games even for the Steam version. I wish I could be more help but I'm not exactly sure what is wrong.
Depending on how all the .luas are set up (but assuming you haven't changed any of them), do the normal bit where you select the plane tool and place a plane, then set the country to Russia and the mission type to CAP or Fighter Sweep or something like that that would use a fighter type. Then in the plane you should find Su-57 in the list.
In some cases, yes. This mod, the C-130 mod, and the A-29B Super Tucano are all free mods that you don't need a purchase to fly. There are others I think as well, maybe the A4 Skyhawk. Some require existing planes.
Hi. I have a big issue. After I updated dcs, all my mods become unflyable and the map appear on the screen instead the cockpit... I tried to erase DCS/savedgames folder and then execute a clean-up and repair by terminal, but anything seems to work.. any suggestions? Thx in advance
When you say it doesn't appear is it just not available in the plane list? Make sure you're selecting a plane for a country that has access to this and make sure the mission type is appropriate, like CAP or something like that. If it still doesn't show up I'm not sure what's wrong.
I did the steps outlined in the video, but I still cant find the plane anywhere in my game. Is it possibly because I'm using steam? I'm also using windows 10, in case that matters.
There have been some issues with this mod (and others as well) since an update awhile back. I can't use this either at the moment. Steam may have something to do with it but I assume it should work with Steam. I have an outstanding question about the issues on one of the threads in the Eagle Dynamics forum so if I get an answer I'll try to let you know.
It should, but mods are touchy with DCS so there is a chance it will not. Also, I'm not sure if that's still the same install path or not. I've never used DCS with Steam. In theory you can use mods with the Steam version though.
i cant get this to work, i paste the unzipped folder into the mods folder but when i launch dcs it doesnt appear in the bottom of the screen where you can see the aircraft. im new to dcs, is there something im doing wrong? my current version is 2.5.5
You can just create one in the proper place if it doesn't already exist. You probably know this already but just in case, right click > new > folder then just name it "mods".
whenever I load dcs, this message will appear: "The following DLCs are not authorized and will be disabled: SU-57 PAK FA" I don't know what to do, any help is necessary lol
put it in saved games C/users/(your user name)/saved games/ dcs (or dcs open beta/ mods/ aircraft and put it there youre probably putting it in the folder where you have the game installed
Hey having trouble with getting into the aircraft I have it in the list of aircraft in my mission editor but when I select that as a player aircraft it doesn't work.
So you can select it as Player? What happens when you fly the mission? Are you in a different aircraft or are you stuck with an outside view of this one?
Right click in the white space in the parent folder (should be "DCS.openbeta) then select "New" > "Folder". Name the new folder "mods". Then create another folder inside "mods" named "aircraft". Then put the mod folder structure into that one. So you should wind up with C > Users >{you}>Saved Games > DCS.openbeta > Mods > aircraft > {mod}
@@311Gryphon I put VNAO T-45 mod at: I:\SavedGames\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\Aircraft\vnao_t45. But I get the not authorized message when starting DCS. Does one have to use C:/ to get the T-45? The rest of DCS seems to work ok.
@@buckcreek1 That seems to be a common problem. Your file path looks fine to me. I honestly don't know how to clear those "not authorized" messages. I thought those normally happened if you tried to install to the DCS root folder, but I've had them happen from Saved Games as well. I wish I could provide more help but DCS is a weird beast at times.
Is that in your user files > Saved Games? There will be folders like that in the DCS bins but I don't think there will be any in the Saved Games folders.

In theory I know how but last time I tried it jacked all my controls up and I fought it for about 6 months. Although now that I think about it there is some value in it so I may go back and give it another shot. LOL. If so, and if I figure it out, I'll still try to put something together.

This mission is kind of rubbish so I don't really want to upload it anywhere. By default I think the only country that can fly it is Russia. So make sure you have that set right then see if you can choose "pilot" under the "skill" pick list. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll see if I can help further.

They are all in your users > saved games > dcs > mods > aircraft folder? If so I'm not sure what the problem would be. I've had that happen before, I'm just not sure how to fix it if you installed there instead of in the base game folder.

@@informationoverload2487 There shouldn't be a special version. Unfortunately sometimes mods just don't work. It's odd that none of them work for you. In theory, as long as you're following the right file path that Saved Games location should work in most cases. I'm in Open Beta, and while I've had SOME mods that just wouldn't work most of them do. What is your complete file path for a specific mod that isn't working?
I try to go and fly and but whenever I spawn in i'm always spectating an AI pilot, how do i stop this from happening *I did read the other comment and I can't seem to find the skill list and also this happens with every try and mod aircraft I use*
The most common reason for not being able to fly it is the skill settings. When you place the plane it will pull up all the attributes on the right side of the screen. You'll see the the country, mission or role, plane, etc. You should see a skill level (I think that's what it's called) in the upper 1/3 of the attribute list that will default to "High". It could also be "Good" or "Average" or "Fair" or something like that. You'll need to change it to "Player". If you can't change it to "Player" you may have another plane set to player instead. Make sure you don't then check it again. If it STILL doesn't have the player option let me know and I'll see what else I can come up with. Good luck.
@@winneracc I don't remember if it actually says "skill" or not. I'll have to look next time I'm in DCS. But there is a drop down in the top third of unit attributes that will have skill levels in it. If you don't see "player" as an option in that list then you may have a different unit set to "player".
I honestly don't know. I've never messed with the Steam versions. Normally I'd say that it should work but it always sounds like the Steam DCS stuff is different than non-Steam so I can't honestly tell you.
@@tanaski6168 Look for the A4 Skyhawk mod. It is fairly detailed. I have a video up about it as well. It isn't perfect but it has a lot of versatility.

Guys mods will not work on dcs 2.5 so sadly u can only use the mods on 1.5 So Just delete dcs 2.5 and download 1.5 and the mods will work🤙🤙
I use mods frequently on 2.5 open beta. I don't on full stable but they aren't an issue on 2.5 OB.

Yes they should. There should still be a section in your saved games folder the same as if it was stand alone. So they should work.

When iam going to Mods-aircraft than there are all my dlc planes like the Hornet or tomcat
Is that in your user files > Saved Games? There will be folders like that in the DCS bins but I don't think there will be any in the Saved Games folders.

I honestly don't know. I'm not aware of the changes from 1.5 to 2.5. There was a lot that changed but I'm not sure if it affected mod compatibility.

I have worked most things out now , control wise . Just a few years of systems flight training now !

Just make the mods folder. You can right click, new folder, name it, then put the files in there.

@@informationoverload2487 There shouldn't be a special version. Unfortunately sometimes mods just don't work. It's odd that none of them work for you. In theory, as long as you're following the right file path that Saved Games location should work in most cases. I'm in Open Beta, and while I've had SOME mods that just wouldn't work most of them do. What is your complete file path for a specific mod that isn't working?

I'm not sure I'm familiar with that. Or any F35 modules other than some low fidelity mods that use FC3 models.
I try to go and fly and but whenever I spawn in i'm always spectating an AI pilot, how do i stop this from happening *I did read the other comment and I can't seem to find the skill list and also this happens with every try and mod aircraft I use*
The most common reason for not being able to fly it is the skill settings. When you place the plane it will pull up all the attributes on the right side of the screen. You'll see the the country, mission or role, plane, etc. You should see a skill level (I think that's what it's called) in the upper 1/3 of the attribute list that will default to "High". It could also be "Good" or "Average" or "Fair" or something like that. You'll need to change it to "Player". If you can't change it to "Player" you may have another plane set to player instead. Make sure you don't then check it again. If it STILL doesn't have the player option let me know and I'll see what else I can come up with. Good luck.

@@winneracc I don't remember if it actually says "skill" or not. I'll have to look next time I'm in DCS. But there is a drop down in the top third of unit attributes that will have skill levels in it. If you don't see "player" as an option in that list then you may have a different unit set to "player".

I honestly don't know. I've never messed with the Steam versions. Normally I'd say that it should work but it always sounds like the Steam DCS stuff is different than non-Steam so I can't honestly tell you.

@@tanaski6168 Look for the A4 Skyhawk mod. It is fairly detailed. I have a video up about it as well. It isn't perfect but it has a lot of versatility.
