Hi Chaminda I went through your advanced tutorials up to 11 and gained a considerable knowledge starting from "zero" In this VLOOKUP lesson, I have a problem in example 1.As you said in the video, I entered the "lookup vales" as the first name of the "NAME" column. Then made the array table values "ABSOLUTE". This did not work. Then, I again started with the VLOOKUP function and this time I selected the whole "NAME" column (Earlier only the first name was selected) of the main table. This time I straight a way got the required answers under the column "COURSE" of the main table. There was no need to make array table values "ABSOLUTE) I shall be thank full if you kindly explain the reason for this Rgds Lalith
