This is a great video. Way better than listening to a sales rep tell you about evidence that usually seems like it was hand picked to make some new lighting seem special
very good explanation I ask how you can apply the Emerson effect with artificial light such as LEDs with color spectrum 660 & 730nm. how to apply practically so as to artificially activate emerson effect ??? thanks and congratulations!
Ma'm, we know that "cyclic photophosphorylation can also occur if only light of wavelength beyond 680nm is available for excitation"..and since in cyclic phosphorylation, Oxygen is not produced as there is no photolysis of water...thus the Oxygen produce should be negligible in case when only light above 680nm is incident... So how in Emerson's experiment, the Quantum Yield can be '53' when light above 680 was incident....? Its just a doubt... With regards...
Aniket Chandra Saxena Hi That is indeed a good question it took me a while for me to figure it out See cyclic photophosphorylation occurs only if non cyclic photophosphorylation occurs I mean without non cyclic there would be no electrons to be transported in the cyclic photophosphorylation so the photolysis of water occurs but only 1 time and then the elections are transported all the way and then the cyclic photophosphorylation begins and hence O2 is produced.
Dude cyclic photo phosphorylation Mainly occours in Bacteria where 02 is not produced instead of that Sulphure is produced😊😊 It occours in Anoxygenic animals.

so, can i use the large wavelenghts + shorter wavelenghts like used for vegetation in the same time? that cannot ruin my Emerson effect, just increase? tks for the awsm class
Mam I have one doubt that According to red drop sudden decline of rate of photosynthesis after 680nm But PS at 700nm is 10 & PS at 653nm is 53, Is it possible the PS is higher at wavelength is less than 653nm?? Then why the P700&P680 absorbs 700&680nm wave length

Photorespiration or C2 cycle is a wasteful process as this process doesn't produce ATP and NADPH and even no sugar is synthesized. However it utilises ATP and releases carbon dioxide leading to 25 percent loss of fixed CO2. Now in C3 cycle, RUBISCO acts as enzyme for CO2 fixation. But RUBISCO can also bind to O2 (showing oxygenase activity) when there is a high concentration of O2 (Competitive inhibition as O2 and CO2 compete to bind with RUBISCO and when O2 concentration is high, it binds with RUBISCO). Hence in C3 plants photorespiration occurs in O2 rich environment. In C4 plants, even when O2 concentration is high in atmosphere, the C4 acid released in C4 pathway in mesophyll cells undergo decarboxylation in bundle sheath cells (where C3 cycle occurs in C4 plants) leading to increase in intracellular concentration of CO2. This ensures RUBISCO functions as carboxylase and not as oxygenase. Since photorespiration is wasteful process and it occurs in C3 plants and not in C4 plants, the productivity and yeilds are better in C4 plants.

To the point clear, precise and crisp concept explanation
thank u for the lecture ma'am :)
This is a great video. Way better than listening to a sales rep tell you about evidence that usually seems like it was hand picked to make some new lighting seem special
You avoid expanation of enhancement phenomena of Emerson effect, that is crucial part for it's significance.
Your lectures are amazing❤️
Finally someone who not only tells us WHAT do we know, but also HOW do we know it (from what experiments) :> Thumbs up!
Really mam kch zada hi acha xplain krti h videos are not tym consuming.. Short vdeos more cocept.. Thanku man😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
ur teaching is just awesome
never seen a teacher like u
U r the best teacher forever ❤️❤️

Here searching for the solution for same doubt .
World best biology teacher
Thank you very much Auntie for your explanation. Very clear. I would watch another to understand plants more
best biology teacher❤❤
mam please take numerical mcq on photosynthesis respiration reproduction in plants cell divison to understand the.sratergy to solve it
Best teacher ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mam your videos are so beneficial...Thank u so much mam
Mam when only ps1 works so no oxygen is released then the qantum yeilds?
Thank you ma'am, all my doubts are cleared now.
MAM I AM 10 STD BUT YOUR EXPLANATION WAS SO CLEAR AND PRECISE THAT I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING
I'm Addicted to your Lecture Mam.

If there is no that wavelength(680 nm) that can activate ps 2 then how will the photo lysis of water occurred.
Mam red drop is 700nm given in some books plz ... reply
Heartily Thank you!🙏 Ma'am
this was so helpful, thank you!
Thank you so much mam
Hello ma'am my question is
That doesn't this effect contradict the results of the action spectrum
so, can i use the large wavelenghts + shorter wavelenghts like used for vegetation in the same time? that cannot ruin my Emerson effect, just increase?
tks for the awsm class
Thank you so much ❤
Amazing explanation ❤
Please upload a lead reaction separate class
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻 It was very helpful
Mam I have one doubt that
According to red drop sudden decline of rate of photosynthesis after 680nm
But PS at 700nm is 10 &
PS at 653nm is 53,
Is it possible the PS is higher at wavelength is less than 653nm??
Then why the P700&P680 absorbs
700&680nm wave length
mam please upload video on biomolecules....
does this apply to all plant species
Why there is no blue drop possible?
Ma'am use bright coloured pen
Chlorophyll a absorb 430 nm also but why there photosystem is at 680 and 700 nm and not on 430 NM. Pls any body clarify my doubt
Conceptual mam 😍😍😭
You can not explain basis of enhancement.
Helpful video thanks a lot ma'am 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks a lot MAM ! 🙏🙏
Superb videos maam i am inspired by ur teaching thank u so much maam
best lecture ever

Amazing❤mam thank you
Thank u mam... U jst cleared all my doubts
Reason of red drop???
Mam but why photosynthesis rate fell at 680, u just said it had fell at 680 but why it had fell
this was great thank you
This was so helpful..
Thank you
Love u mam😍😍😘

Mam can you please tell that how photorespiration makes important difference between C3 and C4 plant?
Photorespiration or C2 cycle is a wasteful process as this process doesn't produce ATP and NADPH and even no sugar is synthesized. However it utilises ATP and releases carbon dioxide leading to 25 percent loss of fixed CO2.

This ensures RUBISCO functions as carboxylase and not as oxygenase.
Since photorespiration is wasteful process and it occurs in C3 plants and not in C4 plants, the productivity and yeilds are better in C4 plants.
Very nice explanation mam
Nice teaching
Thank you Ma'am....
Could you repeat that?
710nm=10
650nm=43.5
710+650nm=72.5
Pls don't use red marker on board.we are facing difficulty in seeing
color blind bro?
you are best maam
great mam thank u so much
mam plz upload ecology
thanks a lot mam...but I find some topics left here and there...although they might be less important but you should cover them also
