    I actually like your longer videos, I am a info junkie the more I know the better more prepared I feel.

    It just so happens I am going to bowl on the Chromium pattern on Wednesday and I added the Rubicon to my bag to "give" it a try and you just gave me the answer I was looking for. Thanks.

    I like the longer videos. Going super in depth on storm/rg products is the reason I watch your videos

    I like em all, long and short. Your eye for ball motion really sets you apart from most other reviewers.

    Like the different oil use for the ball review... quick down and dirty... great content here! Use of the balls tech with the different type of oil on the lanes... 🤙🏽😊🤙🏽

    Excellent video Luke. Love the idea of using different patterns to show the effectiveness of each ball.

    I like long and short vids. If I have the time I sit down and watch the long stuff. If I see a short one I can still watch it and not have to worry bout sitting for 10 minutes

    Love that you showed on something more challenging than house

    This is the first video I can think of you showing the oil pattern and showing how you’ll attack the pattern with that ball. I thought this was a cool idea, really like it. Luke do you have any 1” to 2” Pin to PAP layouts on any of your storm balls?

      No but I'm going to do some soon, very important reaction on the left side so eventually I'll drill a couple short pins

    i like both the long and short video format. also love the fact that you are bowling on a challenge shot. Chromium is a very good blend for us to see the differences between THS and sport shots. not everyone can strike, so perhaps so a couple of shots of missing out and missing in with challenge shots will show us a more realistic view of the OOB balls.
    Would you consider making videos of comparing balls that have over 30+ games on them? even adding a piece of tape on it so we can see how dark/solid balls roll?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually showed quite a few misses in and out in the video, most of them struck though so if you go back and watch closer, you'll see the ball striking from a pretty wide range of breakpoints. This is also an excerpt from the video:
      "You can see here already that while my shotmaking is being held to a higher standard, the Rubicon gives me enough blend to tug it a bit, but enough teeth to get back from acceptable misses outside. If you grab it you’re going to know, if you get it going too far one direction or another right off your hand you’re going to know, but again, if it’s a more reasonable or honest miss, you should still be in good shape, or at least stay out of trouble."
      That's really what happened on the video, it's just easier to see misses when the ball doesn't strike, because it's naturally assumed that if you miss, the ball will also "miss" accordingly. I just realistically got quite a bit of forgiveness here.
      i have a couple videos that I show "older" balls, I have a new vs old video featuring the Phaze 2 that you could check out, it's just hard sometimes. If I compare older balls for newer balls, then people are upset that it's not an "accurate" comparison, but MOST of the time for my 2 month report cards I'll show more recent footage, but I haven't been able to use anything long enough yet to get any reasonable kind of wear on it.
      I use the different colored slugs to help illustrate the ball roll, the labels clutter everything up and the brightness of the slugs helps clear everything up.

    Nicely done. League patterns flatten out into something similar and PBA usually gets better into something like this pattern.

    Do you think a pin down Rubicon would work well with a pin up Phaze 2?? I’m looking for a ball up from the Phaze 2.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think a pin down Rubicon would be a ball up, I think you'd need to go pin up on a stronger asym. The P2 cover is actually stronger than the Rubicon cover, so I think you're looking at a sanded Nuclear Cell, UFO might be TOO big of a step up, or something like a Parallax at 3000.

    Hey Luke I’ve got a question about the Trend. I’ve heard you say that it’s similar to the Idol Pearl and seems like it’s a bit sharper than the IP, and you’ve compared a broken-in IP to a fresh Marvel Pearl. So I was curious to find out based on these comparisons, do you think a broken-in Trend might be similar to a fresh IP?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no, because the main differences between the Trend and the Idol Pearl relate to the continuation through the pins. The Piston core just seems to be more continuous than the Ikon core. That's not a bad thing though, for people that really get around the ball, the Idol Pearl might help balance out their shape through the pins while the Trend might "cut" too much and be overwhelming, while people who come more up the back of the ball might need the extra help from the Trend. We'll find out though, the Trend is in my traveling bag because I really do love that core, and we all know about R2S Pearl lol . .

    Hi Luke! I wanted to know what would be a few good balls to pick up with all the new ones it’s one of those situations where I don’t really need new balls but I want 2-3. I have a physic, phase 2, phase 3, hyroad pearl, halo pearl and a few others. Im two handed so I usually love smoother equipment and actually enjoy playing straighter when possibly unlike other two handers. Im looking for a new strong smooth ball, a few middle of the road balls and a very weak controlled ball that’s not urethane because I don’t get along to well with urethane. Thank you!

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Strong smooth would definitely be a Parallax, it's perfect for big rev rates. More of a weak control ball would be the Electrify Hybrid, middle of the road ball would actually be like the two Hustles, they hook a ton more than they're supposed to.

    We have chromium 6742 at our lanes and I find it is challenging but not too hard for the regulars their are some who have conquered it with 200 plus averages I find it hard in the third game it is hard to stay consistent because I leave a lot of corner pins at that time. Is there a good ball for this layout?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think something like the Idol Cosmos is perfect for it, the Zen Soul would be a really good one too

    How do you think the Rubicon UC2 would perform on this pattern?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably not great, at least out of the box on the fresh, could be really good as a step down from the OG once you have some predictable friction built up in the track

    How different are the Rubicon and the Wild Streak

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From a shape standpoint, they're fairly similar, but the Rubicon is a fair bit stronger than the Wild Streak. Rubicon is 3-4 boards stronger, and a few feet earlier.

    How would it compare to the orig halo

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's definitely cleaner and quicker, but same type of motion on the lane. The Idol and Halo actually share the same cover, but the Idol is a fair amount smoother and less torquey down lane.

      @TonySnider69 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe do a video on how you match up a ball to a type of oil patterns.
      Also, I seen Brad and Kyle put a video out on cross step. Another video inspired by watching you?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TonySnider69 LOL . . nah, the cross step is a pretty good technique . . but I'm pretty sure the rest of them are inspired by me haha.
      I have a bunch of more technical videos planned, I just have to get to them. I just got out with the board boxes for the first time, and have a pretty good video in the works with that.
