An amazing piece with another amazing video! I finally cut the pattern to my Type 1/3 variant with longhair shearling for a collar. However, my sole machine is not powerful enough to handle the pattern and seams. It looks like I’ll be shelving this project until I can purchase a heavier leather sewing machine, similar to the strength of the industrial Singers you have. I need new jacket content from you! It motivates me to try harder and put more effort into my own work! 🙏🏽
Hey Sean! Yeah, I can't stress enough how much reliable and capable equipment matters! Hit up the used market, there are lots of offers in the US (well, there should be :) I had to import all my machines from all over the world) Wish you find your tool the soonest 🤝 Some jackets are in the works here! Also - never underestimate a mullet - I had to sew 22Oz+ just recently and couldn't have done it without a mullet and pliers...but be mindful of the sheen you get when hammering stuff - I use a piece of denim, underside to the face of the part I am hammering to avoid any indigo bleed onto the threads. And go super slow! Keep punchin. Thank you for your kind words and attention!!
