I mean she gave him every single reason to make him trust her about her realtionship with damon that caused him to love her more, like in season1 she told him I love you 3 times in a row when he started to worry about damon and in season 2 when they knew that damon kissed elena but she was katherine she told stefan “he kissed katherine not me I wouldnt do that” when she told damon “It will always gonna be stefan” when she told him in season 4 “I was coming back for u stefan Its the best choice ive ever made” after Alllllllll that she broke in a way that I couldnt survive it to be honest... The truth is Elena doesnt deserve Stefan her disloyalty and disrespect towards stefan caused her to deserve someone as selfish as her like damon.
