This just helped me so much thank you!! I did notice I didn't have that white cap piece on the bottom for clean out. Is that something I should worry about?
Hello. I can’t understand it myself and I can’t find information anywhere about the suction cups that come with the filter; these are the suction cups that are in the bag with hose clamps. Do you know what these suction cups are for and where to install them?
@@Jeffdoeswhat There are already suction cups on the water intake grid. I spoke for other suction cups, for those that are kept separately in a small bag. What are they for, maybe you know?
@@Jeffdoeswhat Thank you. The involuntary nature of the pump on the fx4 is greater, I agree. But the 407 has more volume for biology and the 7 series is generally very reliable filters. Now I have a brand new 407, which I haven’t started using yet, but I have the opportunity to buy a new fx4 at a good price :)
Appreciate this! Super easy and will be subscribing!

You don’t need that. That is just an extra stop/water block.

They should go on the back of cage on the line that comes in the take to pick up the water “intake”.

Hello.
500 liter aquarium, would you choose 407 or fx4?
I would use the FX4. It has stronger flow.

@@P.B5864 i kept a 407 on my 75 gallon for 2 years. It was a great filter. Both i have no issues with. The 407 was on a planted aquarium.
How often do you need to clean the filters
@@azuwhr i do a full clean about every 3 months. But i do do weekly water changes.
@@Jeffdoeswhat thanks, so you clean out the filter machine every 3 months. That's not bad but weekly water changes make sense.
@@azuwhr i do also have a prefilter on my intake that gets cleaned weekly. It catches majority of derby.
@@Jeffdoeswhat link to the prefilter?
