Compass is way way better than Taigun when it comes to comfort, quality, and luxury. I have driven compass upto 190 kmph. , It was full stable and also in one stretch i drove compass 800 km non-stop, there was no pain in my body, also I drove compass in hills , ghats - I was overwhelmed by the steering control at sharp turns and amazed by this car'manuverability. Though i agree there is a lag in acceleration in the compass but I prefer comfort, luxury, build more over fast acceleration more bcz of where you will overtake in indian bumper traffic. 🤣
That compass is "way way better than Taigun" is an overstatement. The only thing better in Compass is its suspension and a few safety features (which are not must-haves).

Compass has better engine, better brakes, better drive quality, it's just that Torque Converter is little slow to shift. There is no comparison even with Tiguan as Compass is much better choice in every aspect. Also price gap is there because you're getting a 4x4 hardware with superior and upmarket build quality and experience, Compass can be compared with BMW/Audi in terms of luxury and reliability. Choose manual if someone wants full potential of 350Nm of torque.
Very good job. This is how reviews should be made. Compass feels like tank, has 4x4, comfortable, slow torque converter but reliable, better looking. Taigun has punchy engine and gearbox, fun to drive and easy to use in city. I wish you made a 0-100 drag between these two...
After driving Fiat Punto for 3.95Lakhs kms the trust for MjD engine is at peak for me. Finally ended up buying a used Jeep Compass 2.0 , Limited plus variant at 14L,2019 model. Comfort wise n build wise as you mentioned in the video is at next level. Drive manual, you ll never feel that pause in breath. :) Nice video,good content.
Jeep compass is only good in diesel manual. They fucked up the auto box (made it comfort oriented). Having said that both owners are moronic. Taigun doesn't have better engine. It's just the characteristic of a a petrol engine to accelerate faster. Diesel is meant for grunt at lower speeds. Also the difference in acceleration is enhanced ten folds from the difference in gearbox. Both engines are in different segments. Compass engine competes with the 2L turbo provided in Octavia.
Not only Engine, Compass is approx 400 kg heavier than Taigun also During drive Power to Weight Ratio is matter. I think Jeep should give minimum 200 bhp and 450 NM torque in upcoming Compass, then we'll see how others brand under 30 Lakhs can Complete with Compass or not.

You can consider compass to be a budget x1 or a budget evouque but it won't be vfm if you compare it with Mahindra, tata, Hyundai and mg. Vw is still comparable and that's why it competes very well with tiguan. Tiguan has more premium interiors but that's why it's more expensive too

@bijoyyohanan hmm i find it odd u suggest compass for tall ppl. Last week took test drive of compass nd It was so cramped . Nd also no head room. Iam 5 11 nd my head was touching so was very uncomfortable. I feel taigun to be a better choice in terms of leg room and head room. Also jan month I inquired they said for night eagle they said price is 27 lakhs but on Feb they are saying price increased to 30 lakhs. Compass is a joke honestly increasing price every 3 months😅 nd no justification for the price.

Compass ke aage kuch nhi tikta, abhi 2024 4x2 diesel AT is no more laggy. I recently got that. Taigun pehle chalaya tha, fast hai but woh feel nhi hai, it's steering is too light, even my 6years old ecosport has better steering feedback and more rugged.
