Yes, a classic comment - only bettered by "you are a Doctor aren't you". As someone with prostate cancer (it's runs in the family) I'd recommend this check up - I found out the hard way after a blood test that I had cancer. I had brachytherapy (radiation seeds are inserted into the prosate) in November 2016 and I'm still here.

Y'know, I don't think Karl thinks like a comedian at all. He has no guile. He's simply unfiltered. His timing is completely incidental to his thought process. Ricky and to a lesser extent Steve know how to put Karl in positions where his natural responses in contrived situations is the comedic gold. Whatever the magic is it never gets old.

@@MeneerHerculePoirot I know this is a popular belief but I actually disagree. I think Karl knows exactly what he's doing most of the time. This is especially obvious during the classic xfm shows. I suggest listening to his "Karl in a film" bits. Entirely produced by him, deliberately funny and no Ricky or Steve involved.

Fun fact: Karl continued to see this doctor for other treatments, including his kidney stone removal. I thought it was quite sweet that he felt comfortable enough with the same doctor after this!

Kidney stone removal requires a tube stuck up your pee hole. Its very painful. Having a stent removed is great too. A prostate exam isn't nothing compared to kidney stones. I have Cystinuria so i know all about kidney stones

My dad had prostate cancer and had it removed . He said having this procedure done was quite uncomfortable having it done but it saved his life

I appreciate that they never made a joke of the exam itself, it's Karl's observations that make it humorous. Just because it's a finger up the arse doesn't make it a humiliating or obscene thing to do, it's an important medical procedure.

OMG! I'd forgotten how funny this series was, but listen up fellas - I've lost three friends to this, all because they didn't get the finger. It's no big deal but missing a diagnosis is. Today if cancer is caught early, treatment is easy and effective and there's no cutting. Do it - you owe it to your loved ones.

Every time I hear Ricky's laugh it brightens my day
I'm a prostate cancer serviver and during the biopsy exam i told my urologist that he didn't have to go vary far as I already had my tonsils taken out. It's good therapy I think if you can have fun during times that seem stressful...laughter is good for the heart and soul. At the time of the exam the cancer had not been confirmed. It's amazing what progress they have made in prostate surgery as well as other more evasive types as well...just a a few small holes, no stitches and no noticeable scars!
