Right. I was 10 at the time, and miss those days. Looking at the world today from eyes nearing middle age, I wouldn’t want to be a kid. But if you showed me pornhub at the time, I’d get to the nearest time machine. And you’d go to prison, sicko!

I remember watching this live. I was in middle school at the time, the perfect demographic for MTV. And Pokemon cards. And WWF wrestling. And PlayStation 1 with Gran Turismo. 1998 was a great time to be alive.

Younger people really don't know how MTV here in the US did do New Year's Eve. This was back when MTV was the big. The network had so much influence on Pop Culture here in the US at that time. I am sure if we tried to explain all of this to younger people they probably would look at us funny & not really understand it.

      - Too many people voting in support of their favorite ideology instead of protecting basic human rights
      - Corporate greed destroying our economy by milking profits from cheap, overseas labor
      - Oil, arms, and drug companies essentially puppeting our government via lobbyists and pay-offs
      - Social media highjacked by political parties to use our cultural and sexual differences to divide the nation
      - Slowly defunding public schools for the past 30 years to cultivate a crop of uneducated, easily duped, voters who are so scared of the future that they'll willingly vote a totalitarian leader into power just for the illusion of security.

Seeing things from the 90s or early 00s makes me sick and sad! 1999-2001 were probably the best years of my life! I was 11-14 years old. My childhood was at its peak. Watching MTV, ESPN, PPV movies and sports every day, while playing outside with my friends every day, playing sports, going on adventures, riding bicycle around the town and neighborhood. Then playing Nintendo 64 games every day too, Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Party, Goldeneye 007, Super Smash Bros, Starfox 64, etc.
I was so into MTV, Pokemon and sports as a kid. I miss those days around the 2000s.
That 1999-2000 New Year's Eve was epic! I was at my grandmas NYE party with all my family, my big family. I was 12 years old. We partied until like 4 AM. At like 2 AM we went to my grandmas sister's NYE party, which also had her whole family in there. She lived like 2 minutes from us in the same neighborhood. Everyone in the neighborhood was on the streets partying and having a good time. Nothing will ever beat the year 2000 & the years around it 🥲

Also Jennifer Love Hewitt didn’t mess up her face back then.

But I do love the 90’s , but for me early to mid 90’s is my favorite ! ‘97 was the era I remember I was obsessed with NWO/WCW, kids in my school wore the NWO shirts and then you saw the other kids wear D-Generation shirts . 😆

I’ll never forget in school if any student says the 2 words 🙅🏻‍♂️(DX) to a teacher they would go straight to the principals office and get a 📞 call. I got back into wwe in ‘99 so I was trying to get familiar with the wrestlers, I had so many favorites . It’s amazing how The Rock turned out in his career . Also in video games I was sad when Sega called it quits after Dreamcast. So many fun video games in the 90’s, I miss those “edgy” commercials haha
