I have so much respect and love for the there loved ones who have sadly lost there lifes due to fighting for there and are country what great talent and respect they can now rest in peace but will be remembered of the going down of the sun and in the morning will shall remember them thank you women and men for your bravery and honour to look after a country in a right way sorry for the lost ones who are not with us but are in hearts forever lets not forget 🙏 ❤️ 💙 thank you Anzac men and women for your fantastic and hard work for sure and your time and patience as well R.I.P. least not forgotten and always in are hearts and sole forever and forever Anzac. Never any league, especially up until a few decades ago, league was never allowed to be played in the services. Probably goes back to the fact that while other sporting bodies stopped competitions, the league continued. Have a look at how many able-bodied former Kangaroo players were still playing league while the War was on. And never enlisted.
Disgusting that the NZ national anthem was sung before the australian anthem, when NZ selfishly sings their national anthem before ours our national anthem should always come first!

you sure, the game was here in 1908, all able bodied young men were drafted it would have been quite a few tbh.
